We recently attended a weekend-long line dancing event held at The Shed, Tarlton Gardens Venue near Krugersdorp. What a lovely place! Beautifully decorated, huge dance floor, wonderful ambience, delicious food and super-friendly staff. Louis, the owner, went out of his way to "rescue" us by shuttling us back and forth to our B&B 7km away when there was no Uber, Bolt or any other shuttle service interested in supplying that service. Such kindness in itself deserves 5 stars. Next time we'll stay at his accommodation for sure.

In that freezing cold, windy and rainy Cape Town weather last week Thursday, I was returning home, in the dark, from Milnerton along Marine Drive. Turning left into Milner Street and immediately right into Service Road, I entered what turned out to be much more than a wide puddle. With a car behind me and one coming towards me, there was no way out. I had to keep going through a flooded 30m section, in water up to my doors and bow waves spilling over my bonnet. I almost made it to the far side, but my car then cut out. It was such a relief hearing a cheery voice when I phoned The AA. They assured me that a driver had been dispatched and would be there in 30 minutes. Fezile Tsawu arrived, and with shoes removed and trousers rolled up, he strode into the freezing, almost knee-deep water to hook up my car and hoist it onto his flatbed truck, happily whistling a tune as he worked. Beyond the call of duty, he went back into the water to help another lady who had also stalled in the flooded section a little way behind me, to push her car out. I am so grateful for the professional service I received. The AA, you have wonderful people working for you. Fezile Tsawu, you are a hero! #WIN #WIN
An online purchase, which did not qualify for free delivery, defaulted to "pick up in person in store" on checkout, giving no option to choose to pay for delivery. On having fetched the parcel and returned home, I found that the incorrect size sheets had been packaged. I immediately emailed the store (The Palms Centre in Woodstock) requesting that the incorrect order be fetched and replaced via courier. Early the next morning, I received an email from the store expressing their regret for the mistake and informing me that the order would be rectified as requested, urgently. The online shipping option problem had already been resolved too, they said. The correct order was in my possession that same day. Excellent service and excellent communication at each step of the way. Friendly staff too. Highly recommended!
I'm having the exact same issue as KevinW's posting 21/09/2019. CourierIt's Jhb branch doesn't action an address change at all. Cpt branch then tries to deliver to a wrong address. Despite me phoning Telkom, who immediately sent a request to them to update delivery details while the parcel was still in Cpt, the parcel was marked "returned to sender" 6 hours later, even though I had (again) phoned Cpt branch to alert them to Telkom's request at the time it was sent. This reflects abysmally on CourierIt but also affects Telkom's customer relations. Time to give a more competent courier company this no doubt very lucrative tender !!!
