I suddenly was unable to send emails from any of my devices, so clearly an MWeb problem. Tried calling and had the phone put down immediately so decided to try a chat. It took 2 hours, yes TWO HOURS, for anyone to respond at which point I was told that I had been deactivated. No explanation, no apology, and a casual estimate that it would take at least 24 hours. All this while I am fully paid up - because MWeb ONLY accepted debit orders when I signed up 30 years ago. When I asked why this had been done, they cut off the chat.
Pity you don't have minus stars! I've been using them for 10+ years without a problem. Last night I tried to log in but it would not accept my password, so I asked for a password reset but it took more than 2 hours to arrive. Today, without logging in I bought flowers. It added a card which I did not want, and one with I LOVE YOU on it, which was totally inappropriate. I cannot login and cancel the order. Apparently you cannot cancel orders - new rule - and they simply will not change the card. There is no way to contact them via phone and they are not even prepared to swap out the card for an alternative. DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE NO LONGER THE BUSINESS THEY USED TO BE AND ARE DISHONEST TO BOOT.
I recently rented a car from Cape Town International Airport. I was given an "upgrade" to a car that was so awful and undriveable that I have to make a 2 hour detour to make an exchange for double the cost. Avis put a hold on my credit card of almost three times the cost of the original rental (the upgrade cost was paid directly). When I returned the second car to CTIA there was very clearly a school noticeboard tack in the tyre, which I pointed out. I drove for almost 4 hours and picked up the tack somewhere before my last stop, after which I subsequently drove for almost 2 hours to get to CTIA. Two days after returning the car I was sent an invoice for the whole rental for the value of the hold, with a charge for the "Accident" of R8282. When I queried it I was told "oh yes, that's a mistake, it should be for R800", which all seemed quite reasonable. However today I received an invoice where the charge had been reduced to R6635 and now it was for a "traffic fine administration fee". When I queried it, I was told that I was going to get a further discount, however, their discount and how much I am being charged do not add up. Then I spoke to Avis and CTIA and was told that there was a bold through the tyre. Clearly this is nothing but a money making **** on the part of Avis.
Is it possible to have a minus rating regarding yoco please? Despite providing Yoco with all the myriad banking details they require, three times, they have STILL NOT PAID OUT ANY MONEY to the church to which with Yoco machine is allocated, and despite having sat on the money for THREE MONTHS they say there isn't any interest due. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND ***********, DO NOT USE.
I signed up for Yoco for my church months ago and we still have not received a payment from them as my sign up details do not match the church's bank account and it will not accept the church's bank details. I have just tried to contact them. There is no telephone number and their whatapp chat line is only with a bot that cannot understand anything but the basics and will not put me through to a real person.
Had a dental emergency on a Sunday and was treated immediately with care and consideration. Not only that, the dentist saved my tooth. Great service, thank you! If I lived in Cape Town I would use them.
I went to Linbro park and needed a ride back to Sandton. It was 9.30am. I engaged a ride on Uber, which said it would take 7 minutes to arrive. 10 minutes later the ride was cancelled by the driver. I engaged a second ride with exactly the same result. On the third try the first driver accepted the ride, and when I asked why he cancelled he cancelled again. Two hours later, when I had gotten to Sandton by other means, I still did not have a ride. Linbro Park is not out of the way, so there is no excuse. Clearly Uber is completely unreliable and should not be used. Such a pity, because it is a good and reliable service elsewhere in the world.
LemonThorn undertook a complete repaint of my house 18 months ago, and gave a guarantee of 12 years on the paint and 5 years on the work. The workmanship was shoddy at best, the paint was the left over from someone else's job (found the labels) and the paint has already peeled from many areas of the house and many areas require a complete redo. The same is applicable inside the house, where paint is blistering in the same places it blistered before, and paint on doors has s****ped off. Frankly, I don't even want them back to fix the mess.
