We hired CK Gate and Automation to replace cameras at our home. Kevin the owner and his technicians replaced the cameras on 16 May 2024. I paid for the work done as he insists on payment before they leave the premises. The cameras were not working properly so I called him to arrange for the cameras to tested and for the problem to be fixed. He quoted additional labour hours and for parts that were already included in the invoice. He was supposed to ensure that the cameras were working properly and this is what we paid him for. He became rude on WhatsApp and then apologised and sent his technicians back to my home. They confirmed that they believe that something was wrong with the actual cameras and promised to return with new cameras. This never happened. After several follow ups, Kevin decided to further escalate the cost of labour and parts. He is dishonest, his work is below standard and he deliberately sabotages the work undertaken to charge additional fees to fix the problem. He is rude and insulting. His work is sub standard. DO not use CH Gate and Auto. Kevin is extremely dishonest. Do not make an upfront payment.
I purchased a full driving package voucher in 2022. There were no terms and conditions, My daughter used the 12 lessons but had a bad experience and the instructor was inappropriate. This was reported. Seems like instructors are not properly vetted. She chose an instructor that she was comfortable with and he was not available during the week. I then enrolled her with a different driving school as I felt she was not progressing with Drivio. After 7 lessons with the new instructor she is test ready. I wrote to the owner of Drivio, explaining our situation and requested that they either provide a refund for cost relating to booking the car for the test and driving my daughter to the test or that they honor the voucher and provide the service. The owner became nasty and after agreeing to a refund as he declined the request to provided the car (as per the voucher), he then refused to assist and blocked me on WhatsApp. He then created rules that never existed or were never in writing, such as all vouchers are valid for 12 weeks, if this was the case I wouldn't have bought it. They also incorrectly captured 2 lessons that they claim were "no shows" yet these were canceled by the instructor (evidence provided) and they wanted to bill me for this. One has to keep a record of all transactions with them and ensure that you get them to upfront provide all their Ts & Cs. I have lost what was paid for. Hope that others do not experience the same.
<div>Professional Negligence. Last Thursday (18/01/2024) my two cellular phones and my smart watch was ****** from my locked locker at Planet Fitness Olympus, in Pretoria. After I completed my workout, I put my two cellphones and smart watch in my gym bag and locked the locker with a secure pin lock. I then proceeded to the shower. When I returned from the shower, I opened my locker using my pin code. It was locked. I then took my belongings to the private change room and looked for my phone. I then realised that the phones and my watch was not in my bag. I immediately asked one of the ladies in the change room to call someone from reception. We looked and could not find the items. The receptionist opened all the lockers to check whether the my items may have been hidden in one of them. Later that day, I was informed that they identified the person who stole my belongings. She is a member of the gym (at another facility) and had done the same thing at a few clubs. She seems to be part of a syndicate. I asked why she was not flagged on the system after the first incident and no one was able to explain this negligence that resulted in me losing my personal items. They have been negligent. Today I received a response stating that the gym cannot be held liable as the contract and statement on the board at the entrance of the gym, indemnifies the gym for all or any losses incurred. This is absolutely ridiculous as this could have been avoided has reasonable care been taken to flag this person the system. Planet Fitness does not care about its members neither do they implement proper and impenetrable systems to protect their members yet the contract 100% indemnifies them, even when they are negligent. This means that someone or individuals have the ability to bypass the locking system or have master keys that can open lockers with pin codes. I just want them to replace the items that were removed from the locker.</div>

There ought to be a rating on 0 I have had to endure the worst experience with a booking made on Travelstart. My family and I planned a holiday on the South Coast. We booked flights on Travelstart. On Saturday I booked the rental vehicle from Firefly. I printed the booking in the evening and did not read the entire document as I assumed that the arrangement of R3000 would be charged as is it with other car rental companies. Upon arrival, I could not find firefly and after requiring I was informed that I had to go to Hertz. We were tired and had to wait for more than 45 minutes as their systems were extremely slow. At this point my two children were tired and irritable. I eventually got to the counter, systems were slow and it took forever to even finalise the booking. I was then informed that they had to put on a hold on my card for R17 000 and in addition another R1600 for the fuel top up. Both my husband and my credit cards are set at a R5000 limit and neither of us could provide a card for this large deposit. In addition we were informed that they will block these amounts and the funds will be released 21 days after returning the car. How could they place us in a position where they would block R17000 and we were going on holiday. After much discussion, I asked then to call firefly and they simply responded to say that firefly is an international booking company and they have no access to them. In addition any cancellation would mean that we lose the entire booking amount. The only solution was for us to pay an additional R1800 for insurance for the week so that we didn’t pay the excess amount of R17000. I tried calling Travelstart for assistance and the lady was extremely unhelpful. We arrived at Hertz at 12 and only got into the car at 15:00. Staff at Herz King Shaka are absolutely incompetent and are of no assistance. I even called the manage and she knew less than the assistant at the desk. They have no solutions to the problem, they just provide you with more problems and tons of reasons why they cannot assist. Hertz uses firefly a subsidiary international company with no local presence. When making a booking you are required to have a further R17000 available on your card that must be blocked to cover possible damages. Otherwise you have to pay R315 per day (totally unplanned). Staff are not helpful. Cannot even cancel the booking they have to call the international company. Don't use this company and Firefly. Worst experience. A booking meant to cost R1400 ended up costing R3200. Check all terms and conditions. Travelstart surely you have better control over such bookings. I have used your service for international bookings and never encountered such problems. This experience has left me wondering whether I want to use Travelstart again. Absolutely terrible experience and a spoiler for our holiday.
We could not get parking so we parked in an open area that caused no disruption to others driving by. There was no signage indicating that this was \no parking or wheel clamping zone". Our car was clamped. After a long and fruitless discussion with security"
