I recently used hippo.co.za to find a new medical aid, and it has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. An advisor from their team contacted me and found a plan that perfectly suited my needs. After giving the go-ahead, I cancelled my current medical aid and was set to start my new plan in April. However, things quickly went downhill. I was then contacted by Hippo to approve the terms and conditions, and I was told that there would be a three-month waiting period, which completely contradicted what I had been told by the advisor. When I tried to resolve this confusion, I made multiple attempts to contact Hippo through calls, emails, and requests for a callback, but my efforts were ignored. To make matters worse, Hippo cancelled my new medical aid and gap cover without my consent, leaving me without any coverage at all. This has been an incredibly stressful experience, and I would not trust Hippo.co.za with something as important as medical aid again. My advice to anyone looking to change their medical aid: Do your own research and avoid using Hippo.co.za. Their service is unreliable, and you may end up facing major issues like I did.

I have never been so insulted by a reception staff as what I have been today. Tried phoning Dr terblanche since Friday to find out about my constant pain that's getting worse and his receptionist tells me to go see my gp for pain medication. Today when I tried phoning him again, after being told he is in theater, I asked how else can I communicate with the Dr and the lady on the phone (which sounds like the accounts lady) tells me she is not going to answer me because I am being rediculas. So having constant pain is being rediculas? Dr terblanche staff should go for a course on patient care.
I gym at planet fitness Benoni. Last night (03.12) I arrive at gym at 19h30, when I wanted to sign my little one in at the cresh the minder tells me she closes at 20h00, I said I know but I still have 30min to train, she said no she starts packing up at 19h45. Tonight (04.12) I arrange my schedual around their website which states that the ab class is from 19h15 to 19h30. I arrive here at 19h10 only to be told that they did the class early and are finished for the evening. This is unacceptable. Then when I try lodge a complaint online it doesn't want to go through.
<p>My son and i were involved in a minor bumper bashing Wednesday 22.02.2017, and although all signs showed that my child was fine, Being a first time mom and wanting to set my mind at ease, i wanted to take my son for a check up. So Thursday 23.02.2017 I booked my appointment online for 13h30 (as i was informed that the Dr Vorster would only be in from 13h00) at Boksburg Medicross, and seeing as though My family and i have been going to Dr Vorster for years i decided to wait for him. Fistly i was made to wait in the reception for about 15minutes before someone took me through to the DR's rooms waiting area. Then when DR BL VORSTER was done with his previous patient, he let us in and just left the room, without saying he will be here now etc., so I just assumed he was following his previous patient to casualties or something. but after 25minutes I eventually went to go have a look where he was and he was sitting by the accounts lady having a TEA PARTY!!! I returned to his rooms, took my file and left. DR BL VORSTER obviously saw me seeing him sitting having a tea party and was walking back towards his rooms, he saw me leaving and didn’t even apologise for the wait or even call me back for that matter. I feel his conduct was unethical and I WILL NEVER AGAIN come to this medicross!!!Firstly why have a booking system if people still have to wait to see the Dr? and Secondly if the Dr was taking his lunch break, why have that time slot available online to be booked in the first place?</p> <p> </p>
