I'm dissappointed in the Brackenfell Medicross next to pick n Pay Hyper. Their ADMIN supervisor is rude and errogant. I have been Going there for years never changed my email address she sent me an email for an urgent matter to a wrong email address instead of taking responsibility like a grown person she tried to pin it on me when I called her out she dropped the call so unprofessional Alisha Hagen is her name

Good day I would like to commend Dr Lichtenstein. His professionalism is exemplary his bedside manner and thorough checks go above and beyond medical standards nowadays. I do hope Dr Lichtenstein takes on as many protégé as possible so we can trust again not even the specialist at Linksfield was as thorough. Thank you Doc!

Excellent doctors let down by severe administrative incompetence It is regrettable that doctors with such good reputations at this practice are being undermined by the front-desk staff. While the medical care is high quality, the administrative process is an obstacle course that patients should not have to navigate. My experience with the reception team has been consistently unprofessional, ranging from calls being terminated mid-conversation to a complete lack of empathy. However, the most concerning issue is their inability to manage basic bookings accurately. Recently, I called to book a consultation for a sensitive medical matter that required a specific appointment type. The receptionist failed to book the correct slot. It was only because I double-checked via the online system that I realized the error. I had to create a new booking online myself to ensure I would actually be seen for the correct issue. Ironically, the receptionist later called me to 'correct' the time of my online booking, confirming that the original telephone booking was completely mishandled. Patients seeking help for serious health concerns should not have to audit the receptionist’s work to ensure they get the care they need. To Management: Your reception staff are the first point of contact for vulnerable people. The current level of apathy and inaccuracy is a liability to your practice. I strongly suggest future patients bypass the front desk entirely and book online to avoid these errors.

What is wrong with this place? The receptionists should be fired. Horrible, horrible incompetency. You DO NOT feel welcome at this practice. AVOID! I am fed up with the attitude from the *********** receptionists. Multiple times in the past they have hanged up on me mid conversation. They treat you like you have committed a crime in person and have absolutely no empathy. It is a pity that doctors with a good name have to be dragged down into the dirt by incompetency. Just read the Google review comments. I am NOT the only one. When is Medicross going to do something about this?? How do you tolerate *********** staff to manage your reception? Today was a big day for me taking a step to correct my life with a well-spoken of doctor for an issue that I cannot ignore any longer. The LAST thing I needed was to be angered in a sensitive situation by *********** staff NOT suitable for their position. Let me not forget to add that the once again, *********** receptionist, booked me for the wrong consultation. If I didn't go online to make a booking AFTER talking to the receptionist, I would have showed up there today just to be told that I made the wrong booking and should have said something, because that is just how they are. It took making a booking online for the receptionist to phone me back and inform me the type of booking I made will only be available at "x" time and not the "x" time that she booked me for over the phone. Maybe next time ask a patient WHY they need to see a doctor. Funny thing is that I asked for a specific doctor in regard to ADHD/ASD, yet she failed to do her job and make a booking for the appropriate reason. It literally took making a second booking online to get it right because I just KNEW that there's going to be a mistake, and I was right... no surprise there. Avoid this place.

Honestly dissapointed in the service recieved at Medicross Boksburg. My daughter was taken yesterday to see Dr Nkuna, she was very hands on at the time with assisting my daughter. She needed a blood test to confirm that she doesnt have german measles as i am pregnant. The doctor informed my husband that the tests will go through as urgent (German measles whilst pregnant can be a huge problem), she also assured my husband she would call him with the results even if it was later that evening. Its the next day and we STILL dont have results. When we phoned the lab , they had said the bloodwork hadnt even reached them yet( NO URGENCY ON MEDICROSS BOKSBURG SIDE) The nurse also informed my husband to shes getting the results from the doctor and then continued to ignore him. She then chaned her wording this morning stating teres nothing hse can do yet she gave my husband her number yesterday for this exact matter. Both the doctor and the nurse have yet to give us our URGENT results from yesterday already or at least follow up. To make matters worse, when trying to phone Boksburg Medicross the nursing station line it just rings and rings. The absolute worst is lack of communication. Will never return to Boksburg Medicross again.

I am sharing my experience regarding a consultation at Medicross Parow on 5 September 2025 with Dr Euwon Valentine. I consulted the doctor due to worsening symptoms, including dizziness and general unwellness, following a previous appointment elsewhere. During the consultation: Only a brief examination of my ears, throat, and chest was conducted. No further investigations or tests were done despite my concerns regarding blood pressure, blood sugar, and iron levels. The consultation felt rushed, and I left without a clear explanation or reassurance about my condition. I later consulted another Dr, who diagnosed a middle ear infection, which explained the dizziness I was experiencing and which I believe should reasonably have been identified or suspected during the initial consultation. I attempted to resolve this matter directly with the doctor, including querying the consultation fee, but the request to waive the fee was declined. I am sharing this feedback to inform other patients of my experience and to encourage the practice to review patient care processes.

Good day, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the lack of empathy and poor service I experienced today at Medicross in East London. Earlier this morning, I contacted the facility to enquire about seeing a dentist. I was given a specific time to come in. Upon arriving at the clinic at the advised time, I was turned away and informed that I should have arrived earlier and that no assistance could be provided today. I was told to return tomorrow, which is not possible for me. In order to attend the appointment today, I had to request time off from my employer and make transport arrangements. Being turned away after following the instructions given to me was extremely upsetting and unacceptable, especially at a medical facility where patients seek care and assistance. As I was leaving, multiple individuals mentioned that they had experienced the same situation, which is concerning and suggests a broader issue with the service being provided. I am truly shocked and disappointed by the treatment I received today and expected far better care, communication, and empathy from a medical establishment. I trust that this matter will be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.
