Istore Century city has atrocious service and the staff is clearly not trained. The lady created havoc on my account and now I do not have any access to my account nor any documentation regarding my upgrade???
PLEASE AVOID USING ARAMEX. Their driver(s) in Cape Town always claim they tried to deliver but the recipient was, according to them, not available. You leave clear instructions to avoid the same happening next time but guess what? it does...without fail! What an absolute waste of time taking a day off waiting for their driver who never shows up!!
I am so impressed by Metro in Menlyn Retail Park, they have the best prices and best service at the small and large appliances departments! I had an issue with a dishwasher I bought and they were hands-on involved until it was completely solved! When I phoned for a price on a small appliance, it was waiting for me when I arrived and R400 cheaper than anywhere else! Really helpful and friendly staff at the appliance section. Will definitely go back there!
BE CAREFUL of iStore Black Friday specials. Even though they have stock on the shelves they just say they have reached their cap on sales and therefor you are not allowed to buy the product at the sales price offered on the brochure. NOTE that brochure refers to stock availability, not caps. I wanted to buy 5 pairs of 2nd Gen AirPods (R1999 each) for my kids for Christmas but they just refused and said I had to pay full price(R2999 each), even though the special is clearly marked until today, the 3rd of December. One can only assume they lure you in to charge you full price and the specials are just a **** to get you into the shop. Also specials on brochure is not online available even though it clearly states that it is available online and instore. Also, at the AirPods ad in the brochure, it does not even specify limited stock as per some of the other products. Disgraceful.

My elderly mother bought a Hisense 55" Full HD TV from Takealot: After installing the TV it functioned normally for approximately an hour. They turned the TV off and on when we noticed a 3 cm wide black band appeared on the left-hand side of the screen together with some thin distinct color lines running from the top to the bottom and also a few thin black lines running across the screen from left to right. Not sure why the picture became an issue after it was functioning properly for approximately 1 hour. The rest of the TV seems to functioning properly it is only the screen. She wanted the unit to be replaced with the same model. She contacted Takealot immediately and they collected the TV from her the next day, just to inform her, the return was declined and sent the broken TV back to her without as much as a solution!!!

This is not the first incident. I took a product off the shelf, with the price clearly marked below it and when paying realise the product is suddenly R35 more expensive. The cashier explained it is another product's price and that I, the customer, need to check the fine print on all the prices before buying them. The manager took no responsibility and was clearly not aware of the "price you see is the price you pay" rule. He made lame excuses that they are starting to rectify all their prices in store. Starting to rectify, this has been going on for years?? He offered no solution and just stared blankly at me. At Woodhill Spar there is either no price or the wrong price, with no assistance from management. Woodhill Spar is deceiving customers, beware.
