our copper pipes - water and gas - have been ****** 11 days ago. after an emergency fix that required a R1000 payment it is impossible to get hold of ABSA insurance. No communication of which repairs where approved. ABSA doesn't have gas contractors so we have to manage the process ourselves. Already had to prepay R750 for emergency fix. It seems impossible to reach a person in charge of the process. Very very very frustrating. Reaching 2 hours on the phone waiting time.
this is below 1 star. i ordered a book 2.9.2022 that was dispatched 4.9.2022 and is with me 9.2.2022. the bookcompany choose the courier and worked with the local post office, which is an absolute no go for any professional online shop. on top of that they sent the wrong book - after 5 months! terrible service, do not order there
this is my 5th attempt to get my credit card statement for august 2020, after an employee in the branch did make a spelling mistake with my name and the estatement was sent to the wrong, non existing adress i have been 5 time in waiting queues of more than 10 minutes each time- once I was cut off when the process was about to conclude- once the person did not respond to my request but put me into another waiting line, she wasn't even able to tell me if the branch can help me i am currently on my 5th attempt waiting minute 19, someone came on and put me back into the waiting line i need the statement for sars, and it is not available on the app this is not acceptable as client service

Be aware that the interest of the 60 months fixed deposit with payment of interest after maturity is taxed every year - and NOT AFTER EXPIRY as the staff on ground is trained to let you know. This means you have to pay tax on interest that you cannot access. In larger investments, this can become a real cash flow problem. For the bank to not inform the client accordingly upon signing is problematic, incorrect - and unethical. We learned about it through experience - and the staff on ground confirmed that this is what they are supposed to say. The management has not called back yet - despite promise. Who is surprised.
