I ordered some accessories for my Jimny and got way more than I bargained for. I ordered the wrong product for my particular model Jimny and they contacted me to make sure that is what I wanted. So happy! they corrected my order and delivered the next day!!!! Well done for service that goes way and beyond.
When my father passed in December 2022, we had carefully prepared every little thing for the executor. All went well except that a R1000 death benefit payment from Alexander Forbes took 4 months to finalise! We dealt with a young lady working from home who never returned my calls or my emails. When I eventually spoke to her, her baby was niggling in the background and she was totally dismissive. Never in my life had I felt more ignored, disrespected or mistreated by an organisation that I had thought to be trustworthy in the past. Sies Alexander Forbes, Sies.
Thinking that I would transfer my bank account to a "tried and trusted" alternative, I opened a Discovery current account and credit card. All went relatively well despite the fact that the bank charges are high compared to other banks. Then I tried to close the account and my nightmare began. Back and forth, long processes while they still kept charging me bank charges DESPITE a credit balance. When 6 weeks later I eventually managed to jump through multiple hoops, I gave up and told them to keep what was left in the account and close it! Needless to say that I will never ever contract with Discovery again.
Pharmacy Direct charges 2.5% if your use your credit card. Their notice says it is to cover bank charges. This is in contravetion of the Consumer Protection Act and they admitted that they know it is wrong. Today I phoned to speak to a "manager" and the telephonist refused to put me through or even to give me a name. Then after having been put through to her senior I held on for 24 minutes. She came back and said that she cannot find anyone to take my call. Wanted to give them an opportunity to talk about it but no joy.
I looked for sheets at the Centurion Mall and was met by a very rude sales assistant. She didn't return my greeting, was dismissive when I queried the price on the item. And when I searched for more items, she said: "what else do you want?" Her tone was not friendly at all. In light of strong competition, your sales staff makes the difference. Needless to say, I left and bought 2 fitted sheets, 2 flat sheets, 4 pillowcases and 2 towels from the store diagonally across the hall.
Very seldom is a visit to the doctor a pleasure, but visiting Southlake was pure pleasure. Excellent doctors, friendly receptions staff and pleasant surroundings. Thank you Southlake Medical Centre.
