Standard Bank Mobile : Absolute disappointment. This "service" was marketed to me under the pretense that I would get my bank fees back in airtime at the end of the month (or beginning, whatever, doesn't matter) for the sum of R39.00 a month or something. What they dont tell you is that its actually another sim card. With its own number. THAT YOU CANT ACTIVATE on their website. I followed the instructions to "activate my new sim" step by step and nothing. I sent a support query on the 13th of August asking for assistance to activate the sim card. NO EMAIL, NO PHONECALL, NO FOKOL. What a scam. Now im sitting here like an idiot, paying for something i cant use. I cant contact these theives, and i cant cancel the service. I cant believe i was so stupid as to fall for such a scam like this. Do yourselves a favour and stay away from these thieves at Standard Bank Mobile.
Lately, dreadful customer service, even for veteran customers like myself. First, Standard Bank (SB) stopped sending me e-statements without notice. Trying to reconcile my accounts, i requested statements from SB for a fee, but i was sent incomplete information (for some reason the month of May was not sent, despite clear instruction to do so). The following day i called in and requested the outstanding e-statements and was assured they would be emailed to me. Im still waiting 2 days after the fact, with no response from SB, despite several attempts to contact them via phone and email. What a waste of time this bank is proving to be, i am on the hunt for a new service provider.
Over the last 4 weeks, i have been getting Cold Calls from a Robot, trying to sell me whatever it is Clientele Life sells (fear probably). I block the number every time, but sure enough 2-4 days later, they call me back using a different number. This is downright intrusive and borderline infringement on my privacy. As a result of this incessant pestering, Clientele Life has turned me into a walking anti-advert for them. That's the price they are apparently willing to pay. Dear Clientele Life, PLEASE REMOVE MY DETAILS FROM YOUR SYSTEM or I will continue to rate you 1 star in as many places that i can.
Just terrible. Adendorff's brand Mac Afric... is the worst thing i have ever purchased. I bought a light which i had to assemble myself (tripod with 2 x LED spotlights mounted on top)... and every SINGLE component was so badly made that i just couldn't believe it. To start, the casing of the wires was falling apart as i was handling it. Some holes that were meant to be round were so oval that i thought i was hallucinating. 2 *****s just didn't bite into the thread. The plastic components were so bad, even "Z" grade is too generous. The cables were so short, i couldn't even rotate the lights 90 deg, let alone to where i wanted them to face - and this was the actual POINT of the light, to point and swivel in different directions. I thought, OK i can extend the wire: WRONG... the way the thing is designed prohibits any such attempt. I really could go on and on but why bother. Stay away from this utter trash, clearly, their "designers" don't know the meaning of design and their cheap as Chappies components will leave you swearing and possibly in tears. Just walk away and find another brand.
Management at Futon Dreams contacted me shortly after the complaint I wrote on this website a few months ago. They offered to replace the badly crafted bed base free of charge. The new bed base is great quality compared to the first one received. The timber has mitred edges and is sanded down properly. All the scr ews are in place, and none of them stick out dangerously, which is great. Hopefully Futon Dreams have permanently sorted out their production line.
I ordered a Futon base and Mat from [URL Removed] The Mat was fine, however the base (made from untreated Pine) was really badly made. For starters, four screws were missing, while others stuck out (not screwed in properly) or were too deeply screwed in, such that the pointy end of the screw ended up sticking out of the other side of the pine boards! The hinges used are way too small for their application, and the screws holding them into place also stick out the back of the pine boards by about 3-5mm. One of the hinges had been screwed onto a knot in the wood, and subsequently the knot had been dislodged. How can you miss that? Now there is a screw sticking out into the air. Some of the pine boards have a very rough finish (rough sawn), while others are a lot finer. I.e. there is an inconsistency of material quality. Overall, the Pine base is a dreadful piece of work, as if assembled by drunk monkeys. Luckily nobody will see it, and luckily there are no small children or animals around to get stabbed by all the screws! I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE.
