On the 4th Feb 2026 went to MPD Westrand after enquiring about availability for brake pads for a Chery Tiggo. I was buying the pads for my brother who works and live in Zimbabwe. After buying the pads and sending my brother a pic of the pads, he said I must take them back coz they are of poor quality as they are very noisy when braking. I then sent them an e-mail enquiring about their return and refund policy. Keegan Roger responded advising that he has never had experience of the pads being noisy unless fitted incorrectly. How can pads be fitted incorrectly and the car be able to brake? I’ve been waiting for his response and none has been received. I want my refund coz the pads they supp**** haven’t been used and their policy states that if parts are supp**** correctly then a 20% handling fee will be deducted but it seems like they are refusing to refund me and take the pads back.
On the 28 Jan 2026, I enquired about buying a clutch padel bracket for a Renault Sandero. The response was prompt, was asked to forward info and pictures and it was confirmed that the part was available. I proceeded to order and pay for the part. The part was delivered but it was such a disappointment coz it is made of cheap plastic and when fitted, the cable snaps out of place every 2 mins meaning it’s not compatible. I’ve sent them an e-mail explaining this and enquiring of the return and refund as the part is useless. I’ve been ignored, my e-mails not acknowledged. I want my money back and for them to take this part back coz clearly it’s a manufacture fault for the bracket not to hold the force of clutching.
I am livid at Cell C...today at 09:14 am I bought R50 airtime. At 18:57 when I wanted to convert the airtime to data, I was met up with 40 cents as my balance and yet I did not make a call or convert any of my Airtime. You bustards are ******* and I WANT MY AIRTIME BACK ASAP!
Never been insured with such a lousy company that does not value their customers. I had a 3rd party claim in 2023 which was referred to their Recoveries department to recover the costs of the damages to the 3rd party's insurance. I've been the only one following up with this insurance, my last follow up was on the 23rd of October 2024. On the 6th of May 2025, I sent an e-mail to Toni Brandt who is handling my claim, till date I haven't received feedback from her. I'm so tired of running after this insurance company and its bad customer service. I think its time to move to another insurer coz my No claim bonus status was reduced and my premium increased as a result. I went on the APP yesterday and the claim does not show on the APP meaning recovery was done but they don't want to give me my money back or restore my NCB. I'm honestly fed-up
I've had the most disgusting experience with this insurer and I cannot wait to cancel this policy once my car is fixed. My vehicle claim has been pending since September, only for a panel beater in Rustenburg to be appointed for someone who lives in Vosloorus. Had to hold for over 30 minutes to get thru and was assisted by Queen Corbett with a background of screaming kids which speaks to their professionalism. Still awaiting confirmation of my claim being referred to a panel beater near my home. I then asked to be transferred to their Underwriting department also had to hold for another 30 mins, only to be transferred to Desiree Brown who sounded like he/she was working from a tavern with music playing in the background and people chatting away. The request that was sent on the 21 Nov 2023 and till date it hasn't been attended to. It's clear that they don't have a service level agreement or turn around times for any requests. ABSA Activate is a circus with disgusting service and would like to implore anyone considering taking insurance from them to reconsider as they are going to regret their decision, like I am.
On the 28th Aug 2023 I sent Activated by Absa an e-mail advising them of a recent accident that I was involved in and asked what will be required to log a claim. Made a follow up again on the 30th Aug 2023. Now I understand why most people cancel their policies coz their service is pathetic and this is not my 1st Hello Peter complaint I'm posting about them. Trust and believe that I am going to be shopping around for another insurance. The grass might not be greener on the other side, but ABSA is sure ain't watering theirs.
On the 2 June 2023 I sent a cancellation e-mail for my previous address and requested a refund since I paid for a service I didn't use. A very rude consultant called me on the 05 June 2023 and requested the reason for cancellation and also told me that a refund will not be possible. To which I said I don't care, that he must just cancel my subscription. Today, 11 days later I get a call for internet that is down for that address still. Can Vuma please cancel this subscription ASAP and send me confirmation of cancellation.
Yesterday I logged a call with Londi advising that my internet was down. He/She asked a couple of questions and requested pictures of the Fibre box, which were supp****. Then advised that a Technician will be dispatched to my address. Turns out that this consultant sent the technician to a wrong address after explaining that I have moved. Now my internet has been down for 3 days of which will never be reimbursed. Vumatel and Home Connect are just useless
I called in very frustrated with my Fibre as I needed relocation but he explained the process. He was very patient, professional and very knowledgeable. He helped me sign up with Home Connect and within 5 minutes of our conversation I was up and running. Home Connect is very lucky to have you as one of their consultants
Pathetic service received from Vumatel. I have logged a call on their useless WhatsApp line -071 728 9862 two weeks ago now entering week 3 advising them that my internet line is hanging in my yard due to the heavy rains and winds experienced. Till date, I have not received a call, SMS nor a WhatsApp message acknowledging my query. I also sent a message to Mahadi who is the lady that signed me up to this pathetic service provider and also no feedback provided. I have been with Vuma for a couple of months and all those months have been problem after problem coupled with pathetic service. I am going to cancel my subscription with this lousy service provider. Today I called the following numbers twice and they don't go through (011)065-5314 and 086 100 8862...I've had enough of this company
