This company makes very good money of fees for no or terrible service. I’ve been hopeful as it all seemed so good from the outside. Don’t get caught in this perception as reality was way different. After opening my account to move my debit orders was such a mission I just left it eventually! Thus I had to keep 2 banking accounts at different banks! Help was non existent from discovery Until I moved my salary to my other bank I had no benefits from discovery just charges. This is not the worst Worst is trying to close the not useful account and the fees charged in closing whilst still not closed after closure request STAY AWAY!!!! From discovery bank
Made a personal loan for R63 000.00 over a term of 48 months September last year. my repayments went off every month on the debit order date on debit order R2 043.59 every month now for 11 months. on settlement to close the account I requested the settlement is still R60 539.08 and i paid an additional R 500.00 in the second month of loan. this adds up to a total payment of R22 979.49 with good payment over 11 months and i still have to pay almost the whole loan as settlement? is this even legal? asked for them to revise the settlement in month 10 and just took a payment without any change in settlement?
I am a client of Standard bank, and am very unhappy about the experience that Standard bank gives me in regard to what should be the care of my financial wellbeing I Perceive Standard bank as being bad for my financial well being, by either non care or even worse on purpose. I have my personal account, credit card, bond, vehicle finance etc. with Standard bank and they would by the looks go out of their way to let me pay extra on things like bond registrations etc. (according to the Lawyers I contacted) rather than having their clients wellbeing in mind. I called Standard bank and also laid a complaint with them regarding this. standard bank said they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours and after 48 hours no response even from them? Are they just spoilt Fat Cats? should we still bank with them?
My experience was very helpful to the point and helped me resolve an issue that might have been a big thing for me to resolve on my own. Had it resolved with 1 call and a couple of minutes
I changed my bond to Standard Bank as I am banking with them and thought they would appreciate my business brought to them and treat me good. the opposite seems to be true. this also filtered through to the home Insurance from standard bank. It seems although i have my own insurance Standard bank and Standard bank insurance would like to force me to take their insurance or perhaps just take at least one months premium then perhaps if i am lucky be able to stop it? as i have tried numerous times and they just wont cancel it over 2 weeks now. not even reply to me.
I specifically used DVH attorneys to switch my bond from Sa HomeLoans to Standard bank. DVH came highly recommended. I got a quote from DVH before I finalized my bond switch regarding the fees it would cost me. my initial quote was below R3000.00 now that it is too late to cancel without loads of fees, I am being forced to pay a total of just over R20 000.00 in Lawyer fees for a simple switch of a bond from one bank to another. no extra money on bond no name changes just bond change. DVH blames Standard bank for the mix-up and SB blames everyone else. so wish I could know what and who is truly at fault here?
Standard Bank is not bothered with the financial wellbeing of their clients. very sad from a financial service provider. I have a complaint about how they dealt with me regarding the privilege of doing more business with me in changing my bond to them. if I knew how they worked I would never have decided to get into bed with them 1. I was never informed upon agreeing to move my bond originally that I would have to pay more lawyer fees with moving this bond and giving standard bank business than what I originally paid lawyer fees when I initially purchased the property. 2. To just change the bond from one bank to another dvh lawyers informed me this could have been done and is usually done for under R3000.00 however just after I agreed to swop to my new bank my bond I got informed by dvh that my new bank that I was very impressed with initially requested a lot of extra not needed things done with a bond move from one bank to another. I was not informed when I originally agreed about this utter bad banking ideas and the huge costs involved with just the one lawyer company not even mentioning the second company now requiring money. This leaves a very bitter taste of evil intend. Makes me feel I am being punished for not using the lawyers the bank recommended. Perhaps someone at the bank recommend the lawyer company for a under table backhand fee. I would like this also investigated. 3. Out of the fact that I agreed initially I just went along with these inflated fees that the bank got dvh to do just because I didn't want whoever at the bank to get into trouble not knowing that I was never told the full truth nor did the bank tell me that with their ridiculous workings I now will even have to pay a second lawyer fees that I was not told about. Probably since I didn't want to pay the banks prescribed lawyer R20 000.00 for this simple bond switch that the bank should be happy about my business and loyalty to my new bank. No rather they will ensure I pay R20 000.00 in lawyer fees no matter what it takes. This is done maliciously and with bad intend. If at all possible I feel I should cancel this whole bond change and leave the lawyers all to sue standard bank for their fees. This will go to the banking and lawyer ombuds and other governing bodies if not resolved in an acceptable manner.
Cell C changed on their own accord without my consent or permission a month to month agreement after my 24 month contract expired to a new 24 month contract. I was not even notified. ******* behavior if you ask me. When I realized this was about 20months later when I wanted to give a months notice to this month to month agreement. It was refused. Then I waited the 4 months out knowing to fight a giant like this over around R150.00 for 4 more month would be costly. However after the 24 month not contract was finished I again got invoiced for another R134 that said on the invoice 1st November payment is due. Yesterday I received notice from a so called debt collector named VVM ITF Infinity that I am handed over and needed to pay R150.00 immediately. I paid them and was promised a payed up letter. I sent them proof of payment and no correspondence? Both have very dodge behavior
after agreeing to a month to month contract with no device just some benefits, i also changed my bank and debit order. cell c after 5 months still could not sort out my new banking debit order. switched off my line i dont owe anything on and then i paid extra just to have my line active. then i tried to cancel my month to month agreement that i stated to them is the biggest condition why i take it. cell c changed my month to month agreement to 24 months without notifying me. i tried more than 10 times to rectify it but cell c just cant care to rectify this. terrible worst service ever received. seems like cell c is in huge financial difficulties.
Darien Sigamoney Helped me to do my self inspection where the app didn't want to work. Good service
