My experience with MotorHappy, part of LiquidCapital, has honestly been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I’ve had in a long time. I was contacted regarding a maintenance/service plan for my vehicle. The sales consultant spent close to an hour reading terms and conditions at lightning speed, to the point where it was difficult to follow. I even joked with him during the call that he should take a breath because I couldn’t imagine having to deliver that script all day long. During the conversation, I repeatedly stated that I had NOT yet accepted the policy. I did, however, provide my banking details in good faith to avoid future admin should I decide to proceed. The first policy documents sent to me contained incorrect information, including the wrong registration number and incorrect mileage on my vehicle. I immediately responded in writing stating clearly that I was not accepting the policy until the details were corrected. After multiple follow ups and another “corrected” policy still containing incorrect details, the original consultant contacted me again and was unnecessarily rude and dismissive, despite the errors originating from their side. Eventually I simply asked for the details to be corrected properly so I could review the documents fairly. Then, out of nowhere, I received emails stating that my policies had been cancelled. When I queried why, I was told I had been deemed an “invalid sale”. Despite this, debit orders totalling over R1,200 still went off my account afterwards, forcing me to reverse them. I then received SMS notifications saying my debit orders had failed and requesting repayment, even though the policies themselves had allegedly been cancelled. What concerns me most is not only the administrative errors and poor communication, but the complete lack of customer care afterwards. Not one person reached out to understand the issue, apologise for the experience, or resolve the confusion professionally. Customers should not have to fight this hard to correct inaccurate information on policies they have not even formally accepted.
As someone who can no longer tolerate dairy, finding good alternative milks has honestly been life changing, and Buttanutt has become a staple in our home. The variety is fantastic, especially for a proudly South African brand that has managed to keep its products relatively accessible despite the rising cost of everything lately. The Cocoa & Oat milk is an absolute favourite. One small piece of feedback though: please look at the packaging. Almost every container seems to leak once opened, which becomes tricky because alternative milks naturally need a good shake before use due to settling at the bottom. That said, huge kudos for creating quality dairy alternatives locally. It genuinely makes a difference for people like me who need options beyond traditional milk.
I wish I were able to give no stars, because that is what a ***** deserves. It blows my mind how companies such as this, are able to obtain air time on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, where unsuspecting, innocent people fall prey to their misleading and underhanded ways. This company asks a very small fee to provide you with an IQ report, post a test that you undergo. My thought process 'shame it's such a small fee, let's support them', only to find out a month later that they deduct a rather large fee from your bank account, *******ly and without authorisation. It is disgusting to me, how people like this can prey on the naive, making them no better than the lowest form of life. How are they still able to stay in business?
We recently booked this incredible team to cater my partner’s 50th birthday with a lamb on the spit, and from start to finish the experience was faultless. The cook was nothing short of exceptional, he basted the lamb perfectly throughout, cooked it to absolute perfection, and did it all whilst being discreet, polite, and incredibly efficient. The result? Succulent, flavourful, melt-in-your-mouth lamb that our guests are still talking about. Pat and Troy were an absolute pleasure to deal with, warm, friendly, and professional from the first interaction to the last. Every guest was so well catered for that many still managed to take leftovers home (a true sign of generous catering!). To top it off, the team allowed us to have their equipment collected the following day, which made hosting with guests still around completely stress-free. Top-tier service, outstanding food, and genuinely lovely people. I would recommend them in a heartbeat for any special occasion. Thank you for helping make such a milestone celebration unforgettable!
I recently had a very positive experience with Lactalis. After purchasing a carton of Parmalat Full Cream UHT Milk, I discovered that the milk had separated into solids and clear liquid. Through their investigation, I was informed that this can sometimes occur during transit or delivery. Lactalis treated my query with a high level of professionalism, keeping me updated throughout the process while requesting the necessary photographs and proof of purchase. They arranged for a driver to collect the product in a cooler box and return it to their facility for testing. Once their investigation was complete, they provided detailed feedback and issued a voucher to reimburse the purchase. It is reassuring to see a company take product quality and consumer safety so seriously, particularly for a consumable item. #BlackFriday
Over the years, I have been a consistent online shopper, and with the introduction of the new monthly subscription and value-added services such as free and expedited delivery, Takealot continues to stand out as one of my preferred suppliers. Offering an extensive range of products that support everyday living and more, they have consistently met my expectations. I have not experienced a single disappointment in a very long time. Having been to a few doctor's to try to ascertain an issue I have had with my gut, I went to see Dr Karlsson, who at first seemed to be genuine and knowledgeable, however advised that she would obtain my records from the previous Gastroenterologist I had seen but also advised me to stop taking my Proton Pump Inhibitor, which I had been taking due to extreme acid reflux, that had already damaged my esophagus. Six weeks later I inquired as to when something was going to take place but she didn't even have the decency to pick up the phone and talk to me, simply forwarded my email and said "pull the file". Bearing in mind, I had been suffering for six weeks, with acid reflux, that caused aggravating pain for me on a daily basis. Never mind that her consultation fees (cash practice of course) were exorbitant and the medical aid would not reimburse, stating that it was way above regular rates. So in short, I paid a hefty fee to have a 15 minute chat, if that, with a supposed professional and now eight weeks later, am no further than when I started AND still NO phone call from her. As long as the rich keep getting richer and us middle men/women keep suffering in silence, it's all good.

Not only is the venue completely unassuming but when you walk through the doors, you enter a wonderland of luxurious organic produce. From the farm stall to the biltong counter and down the aisles of the goodies for sale and then to the entrance of the simplistically decorated but rustic restaurant with a decadent deck overlooking a magical organically grown garden of fruits, vegetables and herbs. Whilst pricier than you’re used to, the wine and the food were well worth it with flavours that literally dance on your tongue and work their way into a smile, it is the perfect setting to share plates so that you all get to experience the chef’s artwork. Last but not least, impeccable service from the waitrons and such a relaxed atmosphere, I will definitely be visiting again.
Upon signing up with OnePlan for my three fur babies, I was surprised by the cost of covering all 3, however after receiving a call from a very professional Razia Yousuf, who very kindly talked me through the different plans and which would benefit cats versus dogs, I am pleased to say that I am now happy with their cover and the lower rate which I will now be paying. It really does make a huge difference to talk to a human and such a friendly and pleasant one at that, thank you Razia.
