Excellent quick and easy service received from Shay Harris.
I have just been on hold trying to get through to the cancellations department for 32 mins. After 32 mins I bounced back to customer care. This is truly shocking service - you are put on hold for less time calling Home Affairs! As yet, I have not reached the Cell C Cancellations department.
Yesterday, when in a hurry to not catch the traffic on my way home, I quickly stopped at the Pick n Pay on the corner of Republic Rd & William Nicol drive to buy my son a new sim card (he had just received a new phone, and the sim card in his old phone was too big). I was informed by the staff that I cannot buy a sim card without first going through the Rica process. I told them that I did not want to Rica the sim, as I already had a Rica'd sim and needed a blank sim to activate with my current information. I was informed that Pick n Pay "cannot sell a sim card without first completing the Rica process". This seems to me to be completely ridiculous, and not at all what I was looking for - once a sim card has been through the Rica process, it is allocated a new phone number and you cannot port your information to it from your active sim card. I also do not understand this insistence, as without the sim being activated, it is simply a piece of plastic with a microchip? I will definitely not be going to this store again, and after repeated bad service at Pick n Pay, will be avoiding shopping there in general if I can help it.
I applied for my unabridged marriage certificate on 22 March 2019. On application, this slip was stamped to indicate that the application would take 8 - 12 weeks, but 21 weeks later, is still sitting at archives waiting for the records to be retrieved. I have been calling multiple times a week, requesting for the application to be marked as urgent, as I need this document for another application, but nothing seems to be moving forward. At my wit's end... I would go and locate the records myself if they would allow me :(
I recently took a small personal loan from FNB. The credit agreement clearly stipulated the date that the payment should be deducted from my account, but FNB has deducted this 6 days prior to my salary date. When contacting their secure messaging service, I am being told that they can't help me, I need to contact a different division. I am not impressed, you cannot deduct payments on a date that was not authorised.
I ordered a PS4 bundle online nearly 1 month ago, and have not yet received it. I emailed the support centre on 1 Jan to follow up, but have still not had a response. I then called in on 10 Jan to query why the package had still not arrived, and was informed that Game was currently out of stock (surely if the item was sold out, it should have been unavailable online?). The consultant was extremely helpful, and updated the delivery address for the item to be delivered to my work place, as I was going back to work, and would not be at home to receive the package. Since my order, I opened a Game online account, hoping that my order would automatically link to the account with my email address and details. As this was not the case, I sent a query to Game via my account, requesting for the order to be linked. I have again not received a response. I would love to know where exactly my order is, and when it will actually be coming....?

Despite my request FNB to not run a debit order for my credit card on my cheque account as I pay it manually and always have, another debit has run this month. FNB started suddenly running these debits in Sept and I have always paid manually.

This came after debits were run early on my cheque account, despite requests for them to be deducted on my actual pay day as I did not authorise being debited 5 days earlier.

Please ensure that the debit run today is reversed and that this is stopped immediately.

Thank you.

My car went for a quotation at B Osmers Auto Clinic 2 weeks ago. After receiving the quotation, I decided that the repairs were too costly and I would sell the vehicle.

Not only were we charged R1000 for the quotation, which we were never, ever informed about before the quotation, but I have discovered that the vehicle was not put back together properly.

It has not been getting driven (as the repairs were not done) and this weekend was the first time I took it a short distance to the shop. It is now both sounding like a motorbike (it was quiet before the quotation), but is also leaking oil or something.

BEWARE OF WORD OF MOUTH, IT CAN **** YOUR BUSINESS.

After going into the bank to have the date that my fees and devices debit orders are run from my FNB account AND changing the date of the devices debit order online , both have once again run before my salary date. I have never been paid on the 26th. Both my devices still reflect that the debit order should run on the 1st.

Resolve this matter urgently, I have not authorised debits on the 26th and am sick of being scammed into paying extra fees. This is against my rights as a consumer.

Upon realizing that the device I ordered was way slower that I expected, I examined it more closely and discovered that I had been sent the incorrect item that looked identical. I contacted the call centre and they instructed that I email photographs to [Email Removed] This was done 24 hours ago and I have still had no response. I am utterly frustrated with the service I have received and am now sitting with a laptop that I don't want, that didn't even come with the Microsoft Office personal software that was supposed to be included. I placed this order on 23 Jan and still don't have a laptop I can use.
