I received invoices amounting to more than R30 000 from the City Electricity generation. letters mentions tempared or defective electricity meters. In june they told me they have to change the meters because they are old. A month later i started getting invoices demanding that i pay for defective meters. Everytime i call i get a different response/ reason to the demand. reasons are something like this 1. Meters were changed in all old houses. (i know its a lie because they didnt change for my white neighbors houses. ) 2. Because meters are old, they read less units and i end up using more electricity than what i'm paying for. so the city did a calculation and now they expect me to pay all that electricity that the meter was not reading properly for the past 10 years. but i have been staying here for 6 years only. also why is it my problem to pay for something that i didnt cause? it is not my responsibnility to service electricity meters. 3. They claim to have found red tape inside the meter, and they think it is not from the municipality, that means i once opened the box. But funny they didnt show this to us when they came to replace the meter, also they found the meter box still locked as per normal. also what proof do they have that it is temparing. and what benefits did i gain from the temparing ? currently they managed to load this amount in my electricity account, therefore each time we buy electricity they deduct 50% of the funds and i get electricity for 50% of the funds. We are already struggling to make ends meet needs, now being punished for something we have no idea about. Something we didnt cause and without agreement it is really unfair. this city is not just racist but they attack black residents making life so difficult that we end up not affording to live here. that is the only conclusion i can come up with. I have been calling, email asking for a meeting with the electricity officials but they refuse. I opened an investigation with ombudsman department but no difference. They also keep on promising to get back to me, but they never do. This is just a scheme but DA to make money and chase the blacks out of Cape Town.
I contracted Ephraim from a company Africananything to install wooden floors in one bedroom and buffer and polish the other two rooms. He did a very poor job. after 2 days of completing the wooden floors were buckling up. We called him to come asses and fix the job he just gave us excuse after excuse and never came. Please everyone do not fall in the trap of contracting this guy. he is a cheat.

I lost my phone is July 2016, I struggled to Blaclist the phone due to MTN's poor service and having useless call center agents. Now i found my phone and would like to unblacklist it. However all i get is sorry we cant help you call 173, then its "Sorry all our consultant are currently busy please stay on the line" I have been listening to the stupid thing for the past 3 days non stop.

I faxed all the documets they wanted however no one seem to be able to blacklist the phone. Why is this process so difficult to do if the phone is on contract and you should be able to see that it is my phone. I am paying for this stupiod contract anyway.

I got a new contract phone from MTN in 2015 and took the MTN phone insurance also. Few months later the phone had charging problems, I took it back to MTN for repairs however few days later I got SMS saying phone cannot be repaired I must go fetch a new phone at my nearest MTN store. I fetched the phone from Century City Branch.

Recently my phone got lost, so i wanted to claim it through the MTN insurance. I called 808 to blacklist the phone, but i was told the phone i was using is not in the MTN system. They still had the old phone that I gave back to them for repairs. I was advised to go to the store, which I did and consultants told me the exchange/swap/ updating of the details for the repair phone was not done last year. The new phone i was given is not registered on the MTN system. They are not even sure if the insurance will actually accept the changes now. The insurance also still has the old IMEI number.

However what i will like to understand is:
1. I gave the phone to MTN in 2015, but that is the same phone i'm still paying insurance for to this day ?
2. Is it my responsibility/ problem that MTN gave me a new phone but never updated their system
3. The old phone I gave to MTN why is it still on my name whereas it is supposed to b with MTN ?
4. how does MTN explain me having an MTN phone for more than a year but it is not registered under my name ?

I do not have time to go up and down with this issue, I am paying my contract and my insurance and I expect a better service from MTN.
Currently i have not yet blacklisted my phone because MTN cannot find it on the system. Secondly I haven't reported the phone lost at police station they require ITC number that i can only get after MTN blacklist the phone.

I need this matter resolved as quick as possible, I am tired of going up and down solving MTN's problems.

My mother went o Nedbank Kuruman Branch in order to ask and understand the terms of her Fixed investment account. The consultants refused to help her, they she told her to go look for the contract that she was given the day she opened the account and read it. Consultant told my mother that they will not re-print any contracts and if she lost her contract then SORRY. Kuruman has poor customer service, it operate like a small town that it is and unfortunately Consultants at Nedbank has also proved to be the same. They take advantage of peple there do not understand their rights and people never complain. I asked my mother to ask the consultant to email me the contract and the consultant refused. Now my mother will like to terminate the contract and take all her money back from this poor service so called BANK
