If I could give them less than one star, I would. Since 3 July I have been going up and down with Discovery because they are not paying claims related to their day to day extender benefit. I called them, I asked what I needed to do, I did everything they asked and after making 24 calls to them since July, emails to their complaints department (never acknowledged, nor responded to) they tell me they will not pay because the Dischem (which they confirmed is OK to go to) is not in their network. I called them from Dischem on that day, I called them from the Dr on that day. They said it is fine, it will be paid. Now Drs want to hand me over because of their tricks. I am so disappointed in their level of service. They make no effort to call you call you back and then have the cheek to make me the idiot? I was jumping through hoops like a circus ****** to please them when I was really sick and not feeling well at all and this is their attitude? I need to pay and pay and pay and when I need them, they have excuses?
Game does not honour their price beat policy as stated in stores, online and in their leaflets. We purchased a vacuum cleaner from them which was R400 cheaper at Makro and we asked for the price beat. They refused stating it is a Black Friday sale at Makro and therefore not entitled to a price beat. The Makro promo was not a one day only promo, it was in fact a whole week. The customer service at Game refused to hear me out and advised me to read their terms and conditions on their website and she emailed me the link. So going forward, please ensure you read their Terms and Conditions because they use it as an excuse to not beat the price as they claim to do so well.
I got a random call from them last year, I considered it and then cancelled in February telephonically before any debit orders were due to go off. End of May I got a huge surprise when they took R2500 from my account. I called them, did everything they asked and these people only refunded me R1465!! They stole R1035 from me for doing absolutely nothing! I have no communication from them about any fees due, they never contacted me after I cancelled and now they just ignore me. Please be very careful of this company
So you call them to report *****, they tell you that they cannot assist unless I have proof. I ask them will the emails I have between myself and the company suffice, the lady says no, it is not good enough. SO they allow companies to ***** your money and do absolutely Jack**** when you report it. Useless is an understatement
This company will ***** your money! They have debited my account twice now and I do not owe them anything! The manager gets upset with me when I state the facts and then refuses to take my calls. When they did the last refund, they deducted money for fees, yet they were in the wrong. Capitec bank is just as useless in resolving the issue as they do not take it serious either.
On 23 December, I saw 2 debit orders has gone off my account. I was in the mall, so I immediately proceeded to the branch. When I got there, they were closed already so I called the call centre. The agent was unable to assist me telephonically and he confirmed the festival mall branch would be open on the 24th. I got to the festival mall branch at 9am on the 24th, only to be told by security they will not open. I went back to a branch on the 27th and explained to the consultant that I did not authorize any debit orders, but they were unable to assist me. The manager had the I don't really care attitude and basically told me that I did authorize the transactions because it wouldn't have gone off. They made me feel like an idiot because I know for a fact I did not approve it! If I did indeed approve, I need proof. Now I contacted the company that debited my account, they are so bad in responding, I have to wait for a refund until after the 15th because they have no one who can assist. I am still waiting for the bank to reply to an email sent on the 27th. How does a bank, where I have been a loyal customer for 10 years allow this to happen and then proceed to make me, the customer, feel like I am stupid? I am going to close my account with them because I am deeply disappointed.
Their ad clearly states the dog food special is for the whole of May, while stocks last, however when we got there on 28 May, the managaer advised that it was only for 100 bags of food. How is it possible that your ad states while stocks last, you have stock on your shelves, yet your manager tells me it is only for 100 bags which have sold out. Your false advertising wasted my time and petrol as I drove 17km to buy this special.
While Debtbusters claim to help you, they are completely non-res****sive when it comes to their mistakes. I enquired a few years ago about the debt review process, however I decided against it and did not pay them a single cent. I later found out they listed me as under debt review anyway. When I asked for the paperwork and the court order, they admitted the court order was not filed, however they are simply refusing to remove me. I have now lodged a complaint with the NCR hoping for some assistance. Their contact is also not making any effort to get back to me. Be very careful with this company
This company was very quick to make promises and take R680 from my bank account, but they were so unprofessional. The first time a lady called me, she hung up because she could not spell my name, the second lady to call me was at least trying, but she never got back to me. I made a few calls thereafter, but I got no feedback. I then asked for my money to be refunded and was advised it will be done in 7 days. It is now almost 10 days and I have not yet received anything. I am getting no feedback and they are simply ignoring me now..
This is a great plan for those who just cannot afford a medical aid
