I have been trying to withdraw my pension fund from the GEPF for the last six months now with no sign of success. I am no longer employed in state and I believe that my pension is being held with out valid reason. I have jumped through all the hoops put in front of me and have been patient thus far but now my patience is at an end. The latest reason for my process being rejected (on the 30 July by Duduzile Ncobo as I was told by Maria) is two-fold

1. Choice form older than 6 months. (The date on this choice form was 13/02/2015 --- that would make today 6 month. How then could it have been rejected on 30 July for being older than 6 months. Even more suspect is how this form can even be TOO OLD in the first place)

2. Z1525 form not stamped - on the form in question there is no indication that a stamp is required --- only after much investigation could someone tell me that my financial advisor is supposed to stamp this form as well.

Lastly there is zero service. My financial advisor on my behalf is blocked overtime he seeks information and clarification and is told that tell will not deal with him and that I must contact them. When I do they brush me aside rudely.
Your query with reference number 0073062 has been escalated to Teboho for assistance.

Kind regards,
Shereen Motale
National Quality and Coverage Help Desk

(case # 10242106 )

This was the last response received in a long line of communication started on 21 June, 2015 (16 messages more than 1 month)

I want you to release me from my contract as clearly you cannot solve the reception problems
I am still waiting for feedback and a resolution to the issue of continued No signal on MTN device/network. I have filled in the coverage questionnaire and sent follow up emails - my matter is in hand apparently but still no resolution. If this is not solved ASAP I would urge MTN to release me from my contract and allow me to spend my money on a service that actually works.
I terminated my contract with the Department of Health on the February 1, 2014. To date they have not release my pension fund money to a preservation fund that I have had set up by a financial advisor. I have completed the mountains of paper work and call them (or my financial advisor calls them - Sebokeng HR) on a weekly basis and we are being blocked and ignored and shunted around endlessly. THIS IS BORDERING ON CRIMINAL so much that I am considering getting lawyers involved to force them to conclude a relatively easy administrative task and release the money owing to me.
I have been having nothing but problems with Telkom ever since upgrading to a VDSL line. This has escalated in the last week with my home not having either the DSL line nor a functional telephone line. The call centre is a joke and the fault logging seems ineffectual.
I am a long time MTN subscriber. For the last 6 months I have had intermittent reception issues but have persisted despite. Now, however especially for the last week I have had \no service"when at home. I live in an area that according to the MTN coverage map should have LTE. I have to date been unable to get any resolution to this issue. Oh but the bill comes every month on time not fail. It is kinda funny how that part of the infrastructure works without a hitch 100% of the time."""
