I won over R1 million on Betway. I withdrew the maximum of R1 million. I waited the 3-5 working days. No funds. I checked my emails, WhatsApp messages and messages on the Betway platform. No communication. I eventually saw that the funds had been returned to my casino account. I called my 'account manager', who eventually took my call. He informed me that I had not provided a bank confirmation letter, which they did not communicate to me. I provided the letter. Waited another 3-5 days, nothing. Once again, the funds have been returned to my account. Still no communication. I have tried to call this account manager, he is not picking up my calls, even though I can see that he has been on WhatsApp after I have messaged and tried to call him. Help! This is not right. It seems that Betway is doing everything to avoid paying me what I rightfully won.
We bought Kia Sportage 2018 1.6 Gdi from We Buy Cars on 25 August 2025 at The Dome. We could not take the vehicle with us as there was 1 document outstanding, which we sent as soon as we got home. They promised to deliver the car later that same day, which they did not do, but told us it was on the way as it was already in the dispatch bay. Days later the car was still not delivered. No one could tell us why. Eventually we cancelled the purchase. Then they threatened to penalise us R5000 for cancelling, which we refuted as it was their fault, not ours. On 29 Aug 2025, they agreed to refund us the total purchase price, and said it would take 48 hours to reflect in the account. Till today we have not received the refund. Then they asked for the document that we had sent days before. Which means the car was never in the dispatch bay, and funds were never processed to be reflected in our account within 48 hours. Constant lies. We have been shunted from pillar to post. Just as no one could tell us why the vehicle was not delivered, no one can tell us why they are withholding the funds. Ref. WBC:110862 We have reported the matter to MIOSA, who have told us we have to wait 30 days before they can take the case on. We have reported this to our bank to reverse the funds. They are still investigating. FNB Reference: 1-5841691846 We have opened a ***** case at Randburg Police station, CAS 546/9/2025. In the meantime, we've had to cancel a cash deal for the old vehicle because my daughter-in-law would not have a car to get to go work as she was going to use the Kia. The lack of decorum, rudeness and shunting around we've had to endure is ridiculous. Worst service EVER!!
I spent over R50 000 with Hik-Connect to install a security system in my home. Worst decision and a total waste of money. One of the reasons was that I suspected 1 of my workers was *****ing. When an incident of theft happened, I tried to access playback the very day of the incident - nothing. There was no playback available on any of the cameras. The installer told me that it was the cloud and I could access it on my laptop. The password they gave to access the files on the cloud did not work. Neither did resetting the password work. They said no issue, they will come sort it out. Eventually the guy came back, put a hard drive in and told me that once it had downloaded the video footage, I would be able to access all the files. Didn't work. So he came back, put up a screen and told me to wait for the download. Didn't work. He also put up a fire alarm system. 1 Over our stove, which was not where I asked him to put the fire alarm. When I asked why there, he told me cooking would not affect the alarm. First time we fried burgers, alarm went off. We couldn't cook without the alarm going off. So we pull it off and put it in the bin! In some of the outbuildings, fire alarms were missing. He brought them, but didn't bother to mount them on the wall. They were just left lying around. Now, 4 months later, 2 of the 4 cameras in the house are not recording at all, no playback at all. So unless you are sitting and watching the cameras all the time, you have no way of knowing what's going on in those areas. Expensive to install. Total useless. Customer service is appalling. I found a guy on the street who installed a system that works, for a fifth of the price.
This is a ****! Do not waste your money. I bought products from this seller - online. Worth almost R20 000. This was mid 2023. I have not received the products, neither have they refunded me. My emails are returned. The phone number is no longer working. This is not a legitimate business but a ****!

Been waiting for my order for 2 weeks. Absolutely no communication from this store, not even an email to acknowledge my order. Only info received was from Payfast. Called their contact number. A very unfriendly and half-asleep-sounding man answered the phone. He put the phone down on me twice. I was just informing him that their business model needs attention. They need to communicate with customers. Currently, it seems like they just take your money and you never hear from them again. Very pathetic service! I have cancelled my order even before it arrived.

I ordered products worth over R5000 from Takealot. Order Number: 109666904. Some were for a birthday party I am attending on Sunday. 5 were gifts for people I am seeing at the birthday parties. I specifically chose 'in stock' products so that they arrive before Sunday. Today I get an email from Takealot informing me that there is a delay and the products will only arrive Tuesday, 2 days after the birthday party. My issues - (1) If I take the time to order 'in stock' products, I should have the reasonable expectation that the products will arrive at the time promised to me on checkout. (2) Things sometimes happen. I understand this, but I am not given an option on the website to cancel the order. I have to go ahead with it, and then book them for a return after they have been delivered. The products are not yet sent out, but I cannot cancel the order. This is ridiculous to say the least. There should be an option to cancel if the order has not been shipped. So, I have to wait until the goods are delivered, book them for a refund, fill a form, and send them back, when I could just simply cancel the order or an item on the order. (3) This also means that I now have to cough up more money to buy the gifts for Sunday, while I wait for Takealot to deliver the items 2 days later, phone in for a refund, fill in the form, wait for a courier to pick the goods up, then wait for a refund from Takealot. Who does this tedious and laborious system serve? Certainly not the consumer. (4) The order is being held because ONE item is problematic. Surely Takealot should ship the rest of the items instead of compromising the rest of the order on account of one item. Who does this serve? Certainly not the consumers or the sellers of the items that cannot be sold because of a problematic item that was not theirs. (5) There is no customer care number on Takealot website. There is only a form. I had to Google a contact number. What type of business does not offer its customers a contact number on the website? (6) I am now asking who benefits from the system set up by Takealot? It is not consumer-friendly. In fact, it makes no business sense to force consumers to go ahead with an order which has not been shipped, only to return it after delivery. Is Takealot receiving kickbacks from courier companies? Otherwise it makes no sense and its very frustrating, time-wasting and costly. Only not for Takealot.
