Customer communication service of this agency does not even deserve a star. Who ever is in charge of their WhatsApp and mailbox has failed dismally at this job. Messages aren't responded to and when they eventually respond they give half feedback that makes absolutely no sense. This company needs to invest in competent staff to manage these communication platforms before they start losing business. It's like cracking your skall reaching out to them. Worse they don't have a phone line you can reach them on. Requests for call backs are ignored same as whatsapp queries.
The 1 star is generous - pity this platform does not cater for -ve star, as ADT does not deserve a start for their **** service After months of bad customer service from ADT, i decided to cancel my contract with them in Jun 2024 (one month notice). I was informed by an ADT consultant that I will be charged a cancellation penalty, etc. & that their agent will come and remove their rented equipment (even though i was changed for a full battery replacement) which now they claim to own the new battery i paid for few months into a 3 year contract. Go figure why a rented battery cant last the full duration of the contract and if it dies, why is a clients being billed 100% for its replacement :-(. I lost the fight with the battery issue and questioning the cost related to its replacement. As per my request to cancel the contract, i was issued with the bill/invoice and statement and lord behold, i discovered that my premiums have been going up to cover cost of things i never signed up for: Oct 2022 i was paying R347pm premiums, Nov 2022 my premiums increased to R396pm, Jun 2023 my premiums increased again to R453.50, Aug 2023 my premiums went up to R488.49, Oct 2023 my premiums increased to R537.34 & in Jan 2024 my premiums increased again to R547.12. My premiums went up by 58% over a period of 15 months & the shock is with the increase, i still got **** service. The increased were questioned and was told by ADT that these increase were due to: Cameras being installed at traffic intersection around my area, Something to do with "Fire protection" that ADT is meant to provide service for (in case your property burns down), 3rd party annual increase (not sure why the 3rd party cost is not being carried by ADT (worse they are none-existing as well. You only deal with them as they sign you up & yet you pay them monthly fee) , etc. ADT claimed to have sent me communication via email on the increases even though i never agreed to them - and the 3rd party that i pay monthly premiums for, did not even bother to give me heads-up on these increase - including their premium increase that I start paying for in Jan 2024. Today is the 12th August and despite numerous request for them to come collect what they claim belongs to them, I'm yet to be contacted or have the equipment collected. I need to install new security coverage in my property and I'm stuck with ADT equipment. I regret ever signing up with this company & I'm glad i had the courage to walk away before they bankrupt me. I've paid them all that is due to them including the penalty fee & still cant get a better service :-(
Stay away from ADT - Worse customer service I am so frustrated with ADT. Its been months of complains after complains and no solutions- now that I’ve submitted my request to terminate my service with them, they are quick to tell me that I'm on a contract that expires in 2025 and i will have to pay over R2000 for early termination penalty - I have been incorrectly billed and promises of refunds never delivered. I pay over R500pm for their none-service and when i had a battery issued, i had to pay a call-out fee and also carry the cost to replace the battery. With my request to terminate this one sided relationship, i'm being told they will remove the whole system as it belong to them - yet they've failed to maintained it & i had to pay for replacements and call out fees - This company is a ****. STAY AWAY people
Trying to get through to a human at Vodacom Customer line is a nightmare. called 082135 and 08217844 and the listed customer lines and you end up listening to a smart bot that can only help u with invoice and debit order date. If you dont require this info, the "Bot" says his goodbyes and drops your call. There is no option to speak to a HUMAN BEING. *** is this....You go online to request help and there too, you have to deal with this TOBI who can solve your issue....Are there still human beings that works at Vodacom?
I've "upgraded to Rain 101" and the call centre consultant who assisted me, indicated that as soon as the new router has been delivered, my current connection will be terminated. Book end of the month, my account is debited twice, as according to Rain I'm now on two plans :-(. I tried cancelling the 1st plan via the APP and it was unsuccessful. I contact Rain to have the 1st plan cancelled and i got told that my issue to cancel will be escalated. I'm still stuck with two plans and the "escalation" seems to have fallen into a Bermuda Triangle, as no one has bothers to assist me.
Old mutual does not even deserve a STAR. I opened an educational policy for my daughter over 10yrs ago & its been almost two month of me trying to make a partial withdrawal on my plan to settle varsity fees & OldMutual has been sending me from pillar to post. Tried withdrawing via the APP/Online with no luck. Called their offices to make a withdrawal of my own money and i was told i need to go to the Police station and get the withdrawal application form certified by a stranger, as confirmation that it is indeed me who is making a withdrawal. I then went to their branch and was made to complete mountains of forms only to be told that the paperwork will be sent to Headoffice for processing...I've called the headoffice this morning and my request is still not yet processed & the matter will now need to be escalated like *** is wrong with you ppl. I'm asking for a portion of my own money back and you seem to be refusing to return what is mine. Im ****ed off and done with Old Mutual. No wonder you've been trending on the news - as your service is ****
Adt please stop your nonsense of adding charges on my account without my consent. My contract is for R488, being charge and extra R730 is nonsense. Each month I have to make an amount dispute with my back due to this nonsense of you. You are a **** of an security company. I regret having signed up to your bull**** service. Worse when you call your call centre, you don't even get assistance, requests to be called back fall on deaf ears. You don't even deserve 1....your rating should be a -1000.
Speed is VERY slow yoh, a 20 min clip can take almost an hour to watch. I've done a connection diagnostic and sent it through via their App and got a message from their support email address, that someone will contact me. It's been days now & and no one has bothered to come back to me. Sent emails complaining & still no one has bothered to respond or even contact me. Client service seem non existing these day from Rain
Thank you for a great and professional service. I can't wait for warmer days, so I can chill by the pool side.
