Cardies is a store I like to patronize as they have cute little trinkets every now and then you can’t just get anyway, and their customer service is usually very pleasing. However this was not the case when I visited Cardies at Mall@Reds on Friday evening. I selected diffuser sticks that were individually priced on the shelf, fully intending to purchase them. However, after the cashier, Jojo, had already rung up my purchase, I was abruptly told by another staff member, Yonisa, that I could not buy them unless I also bought the diffuser. She further remarked that it was an “inconvenience” for her to order the sticks separately, as if fulfilling her responsibilities as a sales assistant was optional. She then instructed Jojo not to sell them to me. This experience was not only unprofessional, but also insulting. As a paying customer, it is not my responsibility to make your staff’s jobs more convenient. If items are displayed with individual prices, I expect to be able to purchase them without being subjected to arbitrary rules or dismissive attitudes. The conduct of your staff was unacceptable, and it has left me questioning Cardies’ commitment to customer service and basic retail standards. I expect a formal explanation of why I was refused a legitimate purchase, and what corrective action will be taken regarding this matter.
I submitted my phone for a possible claim on the 4th of July, after calling in a few times and visiting your Mall@55 Telkom store even more times I finally received a quotation for an access amount on the 6th of August. I rejected the quotation and have requested for my phone back. It's been over a month now, week after week; agent after agent, visiting the Telkom store week in and week out (including today), it seems you have now decided to hold my phone hostage. Even the store has sent emails to escalate the issue with no response. The standard response from the call centre is "we are waiting for the repair centre to release the phone, it will be in store next week". Will "next week' ever come?! Or is this how I lose my phone to the dark abyss that is Telkom Claims. I have asked for an escalation on this matter and it seems that also doesn't make a difference? what device are you under the impression I have been using over the past 2 months?? May you please release my phone to me urgently?! I am tired of following up on what belongs to me.
