I've been a tenant at Spaces Rivonia, and I need to warn other businesses about their ******* auto-renewal practices. What Happened: On September 9, 2025, Spaces sent me an email stating my office agreement "WILL RENEW AUTOMATICALLY" on October 1st - just 22 days notice. No option to cancel was provided. No consent was requested. They simply declared it would happen automatically, extending my lease until July 31, 2026. The Legal Violations: The Consumer Protection Act requires 40-80 days notice for lease renewals. Spaces gave 22 days. The CPA requires giving customers the OPTION to renew or cancel. Spaces just stated it "WILL" happen. Under SA law, silence is not consent. Spaces renewed my lease without any form of consent. Their Response - It Gets Worse: When I complained, Spaces claimed they "don't process auto-renewals without consent" - while literally enforcing an auto-renewal without my consent! They then ****, claiming their email "provided the option to either renew or cancel." I have the email - it says nothing about options, just that renewal "WILL" happen automatically. The Bottom Line: Spaces is violating the Consumer Protection Act and hoping tenants don't know their rights. They're locking businesses into extended leases without consent, then misrepresenting their own communications when challenged. My Advice: Document EVERYTHING if you rent from Spaces Know your CPA rights - they need 40-80 days notice and your EXPRESS consent Don't assume they'll follow the law - they won't Consider other office providers who respect consumer protection laws Currently escalating to the National Consumer Commission as Spaces refuses to cancel this ******* renewal.
I recently made a purchase and paid for next-day guaranteed delivery. However, my parcel did not arrive as promised, and also, I received no communication regarding the delay. I contacted customer support and had to send a second email before receiving a response. The customer consultant assured me they would investigate the issue and get back to me, but I have yet to receive any further communication. As of now, I am still waiting for my parcel. While I understand that delays can happen, the lack of communication and follow-up is unacceptable. I paid extra for expedited delivery, and this experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Good thing Amazon is here now. They had enough of my cash.
I was a bit sceptical since I had never rented with them before but their prices were so inviting. I tried them out and I was pleasantly surprised. The booking process was quite straight forward and you get notified every step of the way, which is quite comforting. Upon returning the car, there were no hustles and I write here now, I dropped off the car yesterday and this morning my deposit was refunded. I have but one complaint, when you pick up the car they then do a credit validation process which takes time. But that's not the issue I have about it. The question I ask myself is this: what would have happened if I didn't qualify from the credit check? I did not see any mention on this check anywhere. They need to do this check upfront so that you know what fate awaits you.
I have returned an item I bought because it stopped working. They came to pick it up and later I received an email about missing cables. I arranged for them to pick them up and two days later they picked them up too. And that's where my problems started. Since that day the return ticket on Takealot.com still reflects that they're waiting for the cables. I have logged ticket after ticket, sent email after email, made calls to no avail. Customer support keep escalating the issue but nobody ever gets back to me and the ticket remains unchanged. This is now the third week. To think how much I spend on Takealot, it's unthinkable that they treat customers like this. This is a case of a broken process and nobody cares to fix it. Ridiculous!
I bought a pair of sneakers in Sandton City and I decided to return them minutes after my purchase. I was told that they do not refund customers for purchases but they could give me a gift voucher, which I plainly refused. I will be taking this up with the Consumer Ombudsman. This contravenes the consumer protection act and I do not believe that it can be allowed to go on in this day. I will make this business famous on social media. I shall make sure that consumers know what they're dealing with.
Very professional. When I called to enquire, the phone was answered in the first ring. That's not all, my machine was delivered way before the promised date, in fact they delivered it on a public holiday! Their communication is on point. You're sent an email on every step of the process. The machine is in pristine condition, battery life is still great. I'm a happy customer.
I recently took up a contract with Vodacom and it turns out they gave me someone else's number...I don't mean an unused number, I mean a number that the guy was still using himself. I started receiving calls and texts that are meant for this guy. I even received his banking notifications when he performed transactions on his bank account! When I called Vodacom about this, they advised they would change the number but I first had to pay R150 for it! Well, seeing that I didn't have a choice, I resolved to pay the R150 to get the number changed. It was of no concern to them this was their mistake and that they had exposed a client's information to me...utterly not concerned. This is the next level of bad service, really Absurd!
I have been trying to cancel my policy for months now. When I call I get sent to a queue and the line just drops...everytime! I have written emails to customer service requesting cancellation...no response, acknowledgement, whatsoever. Retrospectively, I was naive to think that Legalwise could represent my legal affairs with this type of service. The service is atrocious. I still want to cancel my policy but till today, I haven't had success with talking to someone to assist in this regard.
I bought an incorrect item and when I tried to return it they told me the item was missing the packaging foam and a plastic. And, I'm not sure about the plastic, but I'm definitely sure the foam was inside the box. So, I ultimately had to have them send me back the "wrong" item. Also, their response times are unacceptable. I found that they don't respond to emails sometimes (or they take long) and when you try to call their phone, there is absolutely no answer. Their communication is quite scanty. Perhaps mine is an isolated incident but I didn't have a good shopping experience with them. I guess I'll just stick with Takealot.

Ronko Group is a scam. They advertise on Gumtree that they do Palisade walls and granite tops.

Well, I fell in the trap, I paid the deposit and they never came to install, nothing till this day. It's been over a year now, I'm trying to recover the funds through lawyers.

If you were considering using then, do yourself a favour, do not even think about it. You will lose your money. Emmanuel is a crook, fraudulent and has no regard for anyone but himself.
