Everyone is passing the buck !
To whom it may concern We signed our contract in February 2026 for R7200.00 p.m. with Jele,Matthew. We got the month of March free. In April an amount of R9000.00 was deducted from our account!!!! After many, many, many,many calls and emails I got this account sorted out and I was told that my account will be credited with the overcharge amount of R1800.00 This month an amount of R7200.00 was deducted from my account!!!!!!!!!! Where is the credit????? This is terrible service! No one wants to take responsibility. Everyone is passing the buck

Processing of claims takes forever and co-payments are extremely high
To whom it may concern My husband went for an operation 09/03/2026. We had to pay a co-payment at the hospital of almost R6000.00. The hospital submitted the claim electronically on 16/03/2026. Bonitas only processed it yesterday. Because of this, the hospital account does not show on our monthly statement and we wont be able to claim from our GAP cover until end of May 2026. This is absolutely pathetic. In the interim we are out of pocket with that money as we had to borrow that money because NO-ONE has R6000.00 lying about as we pay a bucketload of money for the medical aid already and they don’t pay for anything. I am absolutely furious!!!!!!!!!!!!!

illogical decisions is Bonitas first priority
My daughter has to go for wisdom teeth removal. I have to pay a co-payment of R5000.00 which is probably more than the day clinic account. I was quite surprised that the clinic we are using-NETCARE constantia day clinic that is 5km from my house is not approved as a dsp but NETCARE olivedale clinic that is 20km from my house is aa dsp. I tried to query this irrational decision but was just told its not a dsp. What is the point of having a medical aid if they take your money but wont pay for a hospital procedure....but then on the other hand..........Bonitas is the worst medical aid on the planet. They take take take but wont give anything. If ANYONE could actually can explain the logic in their decision I guess I could understand but there is NO logic that one NETCARE is a dsp but another NETCARE isnt.
