Selection Estates

Pathetic property management company.
Pathetic property management company. Specifically with our complex, they constantly drop the ball, won't attend to body corporate member's complaints or suggestions and are completely useless with regards to communication and forwarding requests from owners to the relevant trustees for consideration or actioning. My opinion is that because the top level management of Selection Estates own a unit within this complex, whenever other owners make requests for policy changes, procedural changes etc. it simply gets ignored and it would seem the reason for this is because it doesn't align with their interests so they don't bother with it. I have submitted multiple e-mail requests to various individuals within the business but my requests/queries never reach the trustees of the complex and feedback is non existent. Trying to reach them telephonically is also a waste of time as everyone is always "busy" regardless of when you phone them. Don't bother with this place, rather find a better property management service.

Mr Delivery

Over inflated prices
Extremely inflated prices and then they have the cheek to bill you large delivery fees AND on top of that add driver tips to your order by default. Simple example: Rocomama's Slacker burger: R159 from the restaurant, through Mr D R194. Chili cheese bomb R129 from the restaurant, through Mr D167 Then they charge you between R25 and R35 delivery fee AND they by default add a driver tip which you then need to remove. It's like this across ALL products across ALL brands... Not everyone is a millionaire and some can only afford take aways once every month or two. With this service and the fees charged one may as well go without it, guess it's only something for the rich.

Unacceptable after sales service.
Purchased a 105Ah battery from them, used it twice and the capacity is not what was advertised considering the battery chemistry and acceptable discharge levels. Figured it was a faulty/old item and contacted them regarding a replacement. Their response to my request was on whether I properly charged the item as well as the charging parameters set on the charging controller. I supp**** this but since then I have not received any feedback days after. I get the feeling they are going to play the blame game, and or delay the process past the warranty period and then plead expired warranty. My problem is no one is getting back to me and a business like this CANNOT take as long as they do to get back to serious customer queries.

Pick n Pay

Unpredictable meat prices, impossible for average households to plan ahead.
While most other pick n Pay's have had steady red meat prices and predictable increases this place has increased and decreased their prices so much over the last few months that one doesn't really want to buy red meat there anymore as you never know what the pricing is going to be like. Such a gamble whether you'll save or get **********. It almost seems that they are trying to confuse their buyers as to what is normal market related pricing so that when they do put the prices up they can justify the ridiculous price increases. How can prices on some cuts go from R165 to R255 in the span of a month, or R99.99/ kg to something like R128/kg. Makes no sense... I think they need to look at this and manage it better.

Emm (Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality)

Rampant *******ion and Incompetence
Over the past several months the metropolitan municipality in Kempton Park have failed to take responsibility of service delivery issues that have occurred in Ward 17, with the councilor claiming to have exhausted all possible options available to him to get all the reported issues resolved including supposedly exploring all escalation avenues. The specific issue to which this complaint refers to is the service delivery tickets being created on the prescribed Incident Management Ticketing system for Ekurhuleni and then having the tickets *****ulently closed claiming that the issues have been resolved. On three separate occasions I have logged tickets to have the street lights in Ward 17, section from Albatross and Gladiator roads, past Langenhoven over the bridge past Shoprite to Highveld road repaired and for months now, in fact the lights have been down for years now but the issue has been ignored with no signs of it ever being resolved. Past ticket numbers are CM***, CM*** and the most recent ticket CM*** *******ion is rampant in these departments and money is NOT spent on service delivery at all. All one has to do is drive through the older areas of KemptonPark CBD to see this is true.

Liberty Life Horrible Service
This company is an absolute joke. I would advise anyone wanting to do business with them against it as they cannot even attend to small issues. I have been a customer for many many years and I have been trying since the start of 2015 to get my smoker status changed to non smoker. You see I quit permanently end 2014 and haven't touched cigarettes since then. Liberty Life on the other hand seem to be incapable of changing this on their systems, what a total joke. It's been 7 years, 7 incredibly upsetting and frustrating years. I have filled in numerous forms, spoken to numerous call Centre agents, had blood drawn on multiple occasions and still after 7 years I still get my annual policy letter with a status that says I am a smoker. I am about to cancel my policy as I clearly mean nothing to this organization. Liberty Life, your service is atrocious and I hope all future customers see you for what you are, an organization that lures victims in, takes their money and gives nothing in return. Thank you for nothing else than 7 years worth of frustration. Mike

Too arrogant and proud for my business.
Contacted the company requesting simple quote and gave clear instructions on what was required. Was then told by the sales person to send an e-mail enquiry. Did the e-mail enquiry and had no response for a few days. Followed up telephonically again and was told that it would be attended to the next day. Finally received the quote but it did not contain any installation as requested. Responded to the sales person and asked for the quotes to be re-done and to include an extra pole at a different length as well as two options for each length pole. To this I provided an example of what I required. No response received for a few days after which I again followed up telephonically. Got a hold of the sales person again and asked if he had seen my follow up messages? Was then told that I was quoted on what I asked for and that he wasn't going to bother quoting on something similar as the EXAMPLES I provided. I reiterated that what was sent in the follow up mail was as an example and that I didn't need him to quote on the exact specs, just different options for each length pole and installation. He was arrogant, obnoxious and quite frankly I am shocked that a Sales person would talk to a potential customer like that. The treatment and attitude from this person was completely unprovoked and unnecessary. When I eventually manage to again explain what I required the person reluctantly agreed to send me new quotes but somehow I doubt I will get these in a timely manner if at all. Not really sure if I want to continue doing business with people that treat potential customers like this. Who knows, maybe their competitors will value our business more.

SA Post Office

SA Post Office is a joke.
This institution should be closed and it's salvageable assets re-distributed to other area's of concern. They are completely incompetent. Every single time I have a package coming from overseas, regardless of it being registered there is always a delay. Latest is package RR***LV. It's been two months with no word. Their on-line website and mobile apps are a joke as they are always offline. When you send an e-mail to the two mail addresses listed on their track and trace site to get your local tracking number, it's never read. Why on earth is it so difficult for a government to run a postal organization? Angry Mike

Reliable Store

Un-reliable store
This online store is the absolute worst. Don't waste your time ordering from them. I placed and paid for an order almost 3 months ago already and I am still waiting for it to be delivered, this after sending them tons of mails to get updates with no responses. Absolutely the most Un-reliable store online. I think i've been had by a (insert word here). Don't make my mistake, just stay away. P.S. This is the second review I am placing as the first one was removed by HelloPeter because this unreliable store cried about me using the word scammer in the same sentence allegedly referring to them. So now I wont use the word scammer in any sentence describing them, lucky for me people can think and make their own assumptions.

Frogfoot Fibre
Never ever again...
Not sure where to start but let me give it a try. Recently Blitz fibre finished installing their infrastructure into our complex and it was confirmed live. As i've been waiting for fibre for a long time I immediately jumped on the band wagon and signed up for a fibre deal from my existing ISP which is/was Axxess at the time. In the process of signing up for a fibre package on Axxess's website i was only able to select Frogfoot when I entered my address and not Blitz who had installed their fibre. After I queried this I found out that Frogfoot acquired Blitz. No problem so I continued signing up for the fibre deal. The very same day I cancelled my fixed line with Telkom and my existing capped dsl package I already had with Axxess. Few days later the router Axxess sent was delivered and received by my partner. I at the time was not in the country and only got back home about two weeks after signing up. By then no one had contacted me to make any installation requirements so I phoned Axxess to check on the progress. Axxess advised that the order was with frogfoot and that I would need to follow up with them. After phoning back and forth a few times and finally getting a FRG reference number from Axxess, then only Frogfoot was willing to assist me. Anyway after the person checked it, it was found that somewhere on their system my order had landed up in some workflow not attended to by either Blitz nor Frogfoot. An unfortunate side affect of the merger between the two but fixable. So after they sorted that out and me waiting another week where still no one phoned me for the installation I again contacted Frogfoot to find out what was going on. I was then told that Blitz was still responsible for the installation. I then contacted Blitz who seemed to be in the dark as to the order/installation that needed to get done but then created the order while i was on the line. Another day or two went by before I logged into my Axxess Dashboard to see what the status on the order was. Suddenly two fibre orders were showing, one for Blitz with the incorrect address and the other for frogfoot with the correct address. I then again contacted Axxes to query why there was two orders and the guy I spoke to said that they will cancel one and sort it out with the fibre provided. Guess what, they cancelled the wrong one after correctly giving them the info on which one needed to be cancelled, the one that showed Frogfoot with the correct address and original startup date. So again there was one order showing, the Blitz order but this order had a different signup date and incorrect address. I then contacted Blitz to find out what was going on and it turned out that they made a mistake when they created the order in one of the previous phone calls to them. This was then corrected and after another few days again no one contacted me to arrange any installation. When I eventually could not take it anymore and inquired what was going on it came to light that Blitz fibre had no more ONT's/ONU's to install at customer premises. Apparently they would only receive new units mid November. ***? So needless to say after almost a month i contacted Axxess to find out if I could cancel my order. They agreed and everything was cancelled and the delivered router was sent back for credit. Then i signed up with Afrihost who had a similar deal and where frogfoot was one of the their partners and since frogfoot had taken over Blitz as per the first order they would now be responsible for installing their ONT/ONU, rather than Blitz. At least that is was what I had planned on. It turns out after another few phone calls to Frogfoot that untill the 4th of December when Frogfoot and Blitz migrate to the same network the two still function independently. This means that once again i am stuck with Blitz having to do the installation. Since their situation hasn't changed I have essentially just moved from one ISP to another, still stuck with the same issues. It's been 5 weeks now from the very first time I signed up and I am no closer to getting my fibre sorted. In fact when I phoned Afrihost this morning to follow up on my new order I was again directed to speak to Frogfoot, which I did and to my shock and horror Frogfoot told me that they have rejected the order from Afrihost, again due to some incorrect address issue. What worries me is that Afrihost doesn't even know about this or said nothing about it this morning when I phoned them before referring me to Frogfoot. I have never in my entire life has such a hard time to sign up for a service. I have now had it with everyone. I AM NOW GATVOL!!!!!! I would personally like to thank all of the following people for the complete and utter waste of 5 weeks of my life. From Axxess's side they are Nompumezo, Sikhumbuzo, Seelan, Derwyn and Xavier. From Frogfoot's side a special thanks for nothing goes out to Pierre, Lizelle, Michelle, Ruve, Alida and Justin, thanks guys you made a unique impression on me. And then on Blitz's side a super duper shout out to even more folks that helped me get nowhere, they are Margaret, Anjani and Byron. My honest opinion to anyone who wants to sign up for fibre, dont. Just stick to what you have till companies like these have gotten their sh*t together and are actually able to provide you with proper stable services. Regards, Mike
