Placed an order online on the 31st May 2024, paid with my Capitec Card via their Snapscan facility. I was assured that the product was in stock in South Africa in Cape Town before ordering. Since then the delivery date has come and gone twice already with no tracking number forthcoming whatsoever. They are trying to force their "terms and conditions" on me, stating that they have 45+ business days to deliver. If they had told me up-front that the goods are coming via a ship in 3 month's time I would not have ordered in the first place. But I was specifically told that they RECEIVED 25 units and that 4 are still available. And I was assured that I will be receiving my order today, 12 June 2024. That did not happen. So, is this not misrepresentation???
Bought a 48v Lithium Battery on the 31st May 2024 from their online store and paid with my Capitec card via their Snapscan facility. Was informed that the battery is in stock in Vape Town and it would be shipped to their office in Durban for "quality assurance" and then shipped to me in Limpopo. On the 3rd June 2024 I enquired about my purchase and was assured that it would be ready for shipment on the 5th June 2024. Then all communication came to an end. On the 5th June 2024 I tried contacting them via their WhatsApp number as well as their listed email address on record and was met with silence. No response, nothing - the whole day. So, now the question is: Is this a legitimate company with actual products or just a company on paper? I would love to know the way forward.
Stupidly, without reading prior reviews, I bought a printer from them on the 15th June 2023 (Order 27392). After not receiving the printer within their 3-5 day delivery, I started pushing to collect myself. There the stories started. I specifically stated that I was physically disabled and needed the printer to replace a broken printer that I use to supplement my income. When they couldn't deliver they tried getting me to wait till today for "more stock to arrive". I declined as was offered a refund. After waiting 17 business days for a refund I was informed that the company is in a restructuring process and my refund "should" be processed by the end of August 2023. This sounds like buying time to me. So, a couple of steps could be taken: share my experience of my vast social media presence, open a small claims court case, open a case of ***** at my bank, inform SARS of a possible money laundering operation (as they are VAT registered) - even if not, SARS is going to keep them busy for a while. And then also report them to their official finance gateways. What else?
The matter with Safety Max Online (Pty) Ltd has been resolved and I have been fully refunded.
On the 18th of January 2023 I placed an online order for blank products. Shortly thereafter I was informed that I was not entitled to purchase the goods unless I chose additional branding and additional costs. Totally acceptable. I cancelled the order and Karesha Chetty confirmed with me that the order was cancelled and a refund processed with Payflex (my chosen method of payment). It is now the 31st of January 2023 and still no refund processed - even after numerous emails / chats back and forth. Payflex won't cancel the order without Safety Max Online instructing them to do it, and if I don't pay Payflex then I get penalised. Totally unacceptable.
I placed an online order on 16 November 2022 for 2m roll of vinyl at a very reasonable price. It was delivered on the 18th November by courier and put into storage as is. When the roll as unrolled a couple of days later it was found that a 1700mm x 2000mm roll of vinyl was sent without a core and wrapped in a lot of bubble wrap. The whole roll is crumpled beyond use whatsoever. Photos were supplied. After contacting Mpho at MHC World I was assured I would be receiving a replacement order. After many follow up conversations via online chat and whatsapp, nothing has happened to date. Empty promises, No service.
