I have a funeral policy with Metropolitan life for my wife's parents. When my father in law passes away I contacted Samuel Losper at Metropolitan. He offered to forward me the necessary documents, which he promptly did, indicated where I have to sign, and return them. All of this was done professionally, Samuel was friendly, helpful and quick. I can honestly say that I was extremely impressed with his service. Before the church service the policy had paid out and money was in my account and I could pay the funeral service in time. Thank you Samuel and Metropolitan for excellent and friendly service. We need more service providers like you. e mail samuel.losper@metropolitan.co.za
I visit Petzone in Moffett Park, Port Elizabeth on regular basis as their prices on dog food is excellent, However, their service is immaculate, as you enter you are met by one of their friendly male staff members, even offers to push the trolley, directs one to the food of your choice, load on the trolley and en route to the cashier informs the lady there that a client is on the way there. After paying for the food, he pushes the trolley to my vehicle, and I normally park far away, loads the bag into the vehicle and does not wait to be tipped., I would like to make the world aware of the excellent service one gets from them. Thank you Petzone, you guys are the BEST.
On 29 January my daughter had her wedding ceremony at Eagles Nest, close to Rocklands, Eastern Cape. It is situated on the Uitenhage – Rocklands road, on a farm with the most beautiful view of a valley and a mountain. It is clean, neat, and even has a chapel for the church procedure. If the newly-weds would like to sleep over, even that can be arranged. https://www.facebook.com/eaglesnestweddings/ From the first time we visited the venue, the host, Elzaan gave us confidence and made us feel at ease. She gave advice where needed, invited us back to view the venue when another wedding’s layout had been done, so we can get an idea of what it would look like, and again a day before my daughter’s wedding so we can see and approve the layout. The day of the wedding everything was in place, the venue looked stunning, food was out of this world, and service was absolutely excellent. If ever you are looking for a host to do your wedding, please, speak to Elzaan, and visit her venue. I can guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised. Thank you Elzaan, for your friendly yet professional service, we enjoyed every minute of the day.
Good morning, During November my garage door and motor packed up, the motor memory got damaged due to load shedding. I contacted my insurance broker, Mac Ashworth at Auxilium. Between him and Adele Barnard, his colleague, my claim was settled quickly and painlessly, Door and motor replaced, even though the insurance company had issues. My daughter’s vehicle had a windscreen cracked, and again I pushed on their button, claim was settled quickly, effortlessly and effectively, windscreen replaced. I have to add, they are always friendly, eager to assist, and no nonsense when it concerns the insurance company and claims. I truly appreciate their service, best one can ask for. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime.
Recently I have approached Andre Botha from Citywide Security and armed response for a quote on monitoring the alarm at my house. The quote was given verbally, very reasonable, and arrangements were made to confirm this per contract. Andre arrived on time, explained the details of the contract to me, confirmed that Citywide cancels my contract with the current service provider and explained about radio removal etc. His attitude was positive towards his employer, he was friendly and eager to assist. After this procedure Citywide contacted me to arrange for the installation of the radio, and again the tech, Damien was punctual, friendly, yet professional, and job was done and alarm tested with no wasted motions. I would like to commend both Andre and Damien for their service and Citywide as a company for the prompt service. We need this kind of service in our country. Thank you very much.
Around 21 July 2021 we approached The Willows Resort in Port Elizabeth to secure a campsite booking. First of all, 2020 specials were still being promoted incorrectly. We communicated by e mails. A reservation was confirmed but the details on the reservation were not ours. We queried that but this was not rectified. No reply was received from Willows until 18 August and then only to let us know that if we do not pay deposit our reservation will be cancelled. Our contact details were still incorrect. By now we had already booked at Sitrusoewer for 20 August 2021. I have to admit, I find this a total no #WIN situation and I will not recommend Willows to anyone in future.
We booked a camp site at Sitrusoewer near Kirkwood in the Eastern Cape and reserved two camp sites at a certain spot. A friend wanted to join so we booked another. Anneke Swart, owner/manager was very friendly and accommodating and added the third party. On our arrival on 20 August 2021 we found that we were not 100% happy with the sites we booked as the sites next to the river were better. We called her, asked her if we can make changes and move to the sites next to the river. Again very friendly and accommodating, all in order. Arrangements were upon booking made for wood, and wood was already at our camp site when we arrived. We didn't have to go to the office to pay for the sites, Johan, I assume Anneke's husband came to the camp site to collect the fees, and to find out if all was in order. Yet again friendly service. Ablution blocks were clean and neat, adequate sanitizer and hand soap for use of campers. Shower water warm, no issues. Camp site clean and neat. I would recommend Sitrusoewer to anyone who wants an enjoyable, carefree break away. In my opinion a #WIN situation.
I have had a gas geyser for my house now for quite a while. On a previous occasion when it rained a lot, the geyser would not start, nor warm up the water. Because Fennell’s Gas and Appliances installed the geyser, I asked them to have a look at the geyser. Techs came out and opened up, cleaned out and in general gave the geyser an overall and service. Now recently with the rain that fell in Port Elizabeth the same happened, the geyser would not warm the water efficiently, no matter how high I turned the setting to open the valve. Normally with the valve completely open you cannot shower without opening the cold tap. However, now the water was not even close to warm enough for a comfortable shower. Again I requested the assistance of Fennell’s. Derek, the owner, made arrangements for a tech to come out to my premises. The tech arrived early morning and did full inspection of the geyser, found a diaphragm to be damaged and wet, and a metal part rusted, and this he replaced. (I am no expert, I am merely relaying what he showed and told me.) His next step was to check the regulator. After removing the regulator he indicated to me that when blowing on the regulator, same direction the gas would follow to the geyser, water was bubbling out. Because the gas cylinder is outside and mostly in the open, he indicated that water enters the regulator through a plastic cover, which obviously causes the water to be forced into the geyser with the gas, when a warm water tap is opened. This then in turn cause the flame to be either weaker or non-existent. His advice was to cover the top of the gas cylinder so that no water can reach the regulator. I have done this, and this morning between 02:00 and 06:30 we had 40mm of rain. We had a shower and the water was a hot as expected. So if you have a gas geyser and the gas cylinder is outside, make sure you keep the regulator dry. I would like to thank Fennell's Gas for excellent service and in particular Louis, who pointed this out to me. I think he did an excellent job and needs to be rewarded for his friendly and professional service. Thank you Derek and Louis.
Recently my wife and I had to reregister vehicles paid in full at the bank onto our names. We approached Natasha at Walmer post office and requested guidance and assistance. Not only was she extremely friendly and willing to assist, she provided us with the necessary documents, with full instructions on how to complete, and when we took those documents into the post office the next morning, she was there, completing the work on the system, issued the correct registration papers and it was a done deal. No stress, she was very friendly and willing to go way beyond he call of duty. Natasha is a huge asset to the Post office and I feel she should be made aware of our gratitude and awarded for her service.
Early April, could be the 1st I visited the Absa Regional office in Port Elizabeth in William Moffett road to confirm that my vehicle's outstanding balance had been settled and also to arrange to get the registration papers on both my vehicles as both accounts had now been settled. At the main entrance to the branch I was met by a security officer, neatly dressed, extremely friendly, he addressed me in my home language which is Afrikaans, enquired as to the reason for my visit and walked with me to the reception counter where two ladies were sitting. After explaining what my needs were, the one lady left us while I completed a visitors page. The other lady, unfortunately I never took names, escorted me down the passage where the first lady was already on the phone with the accounts department, going through the "for account, press 1, and for consultant press 4" process. One is used to someone telling you to walk down the passage and go to the second door on your left, this lady walked with me to the office and left me in the care of the second lady. Once the correct last button was pressed I had to confirm personally who I am and where I stay, The consultant on the line confirmed that both accounts had been settled and confirmed that both vehicles registration papers would be send to Absa Branch at 6th ave shopping mall in Walmer. This ended the process for me. Now this kind of friendly service one does not experience anymore in the new SA, service is generally up to maggots, but I would like to report this and I can assure you that I would recommend their service any time to any person. Wonderful experience, and I am proud be a client of Absa Bank.
