The late bedbug feast
Booked a bus from Durban to Pretoria, once it was boarding time, we received smses saying the bus will be TWO hours late...mind you there's not enough space to sit... When the bus finally came, and we settled in..bed bugs started having a feast .I had never had such a horrid experience in my life...

Double billed!!!
Went to Spur with a colleague, ordered and had our food...I later realized I ddnt bring my card...but had a virtual card...they told me I can scan to pay..which I did..it went through and after a few minutes they said their scan to pay wasn't working and I need to pay cash.. Went to the ATM , withdrew cash and came back to pay ..they said my money would be returned...a week passed I called them sent them my bank statement to prove that the money went out but wasn't returned...they said it never reflected on their side. Now I am very confused where did the money go...because I checked with the bank and it did go through...so basically I paid for my meal twice... I will not be supporting any Spur in future...they are crooks

Post office blunder
On the 18th of Dec 2020, went to go pay for my car license at Athlone park( Amanzimtoti) , waited for 3 hours in the line the next thing the security said they are closing at 4pm (but on the site it says they close at 05.30pm)and they are counting the number of people, after standing in the line for 3 hours, we went home, came back the following morning stood in the line for 4 hours, security came back and told us the the same thing..they said one person is working inside..how is that even possible during this busiest month... Came in today for a few fresh produce items, was amazed how quick and effortless my shopping was, during this Covid 19 pandemic.. Cashier was super friendly, she brightened up my dull day.. Keep it up

Stinking, disgusting, shocking and shitty attitude
On the 17th of Feb 2016 at 12:28pm, me and my husband went into Spar to do a cash send, upon arrival we waited in the queue and patiently waited for our turn, two ladies were serving and the cash send point..when it was our turn we went to the lady who at that time was busy applying purple lipstick, we waited till she was done and she stared at me, I asked her if she wanted me to greet her and she replied \if I was ready for you, I would have called you as you can see I was busy\" I ignored her comment and asked if I can do cash send, she asked for the amount of which I gave to her then she rudely said \"two people are not allowed to stand here, one of you must leave\" I asked her why was she being so rude, she just stared at me rolling her eyes and making faces...I said to her \" your attitude stinks and you need to change it...and I left to stand on the side...my husband carried on with the cash send and as he left, she did one of those high pitched irritating laughs. I didn't get name as she wasn't wearing a name tag and it doesn't appear on the cash send till slip.<br> <br> I live in umlazi and I frequently used to go shopping at Spar but I will let my family and friends know of this"

Foul smelling goods
On the second of January 2016, I went to Scottburgh mall and proceeded to Pick n Pay, upon arrival I purchased a few items and among the items was a 1kg ready prepared Bulk Spinach, headed home to prepare the spinach for my guests who were eagerly waiting, as I opened the spinach bag, I noticed a pungent smell, I washed the spinach over and over again with running water, and finally cooked it, even upon cooking it, the stench lingered, I tasted it and it was funny tasting, it would have been an insult feeding it to my guests... I had to make something else and I was so frustrated that I threw the spinach away, but left some in a bowl for my husband to taste and he immediately spit it out realising the taste and the smell, I've never been so humiliated in my life since my guests were asking what the smell was..I am highly disappointed and thinking of changing supermarkets, since I've been using Pick n Pay for so long.. And this is not the first time I bought something only to be disappointed and feel as I have wasted my money... <br>
