I took out a funeral policy with Kingdom Blue and was promised a 50% cash back after 5 years of consistent payments. I reached the 5-year mark and submitted my claim in September 2024. It’s now [insert current month and year], and despite numerous follow-ups, I still have not received my cash back. There has been no proper feedback, no transparency, and no clear timeline from Kingdom Blue. This delay is unacceptable, and it makes me question whether this cash back is a legitimate offering or just a marketing gimmick. If anyone else has had the same experience—or has actually received their cash back—I would really appreciate hearing from you. People deserve to know the truth before signing up for this policy. I am also escalating this to the FSCA and Ombudsman for Long-Term Insurance, as I believe this may be misleading conduct. Please be cautious before committing to any Kingdom Blue policy.
I recently encountered a disappointing and deceptive experience with the Lions Head Apartments development in Pinelands. The project, developed by Concor Construction and designed by DHK Architects, is promoted with insufficient transparency, leading to financial distress for potential buyers. Here are the critical issues: Lack of Transparency: After paying a R5,000 reservation fee to secure a 2-bedroom unit valued at R1,250,000, I was sent a Deed of Sale containing critical financial details not disclosed earlier. These included a mandatory 5% deposit and an additional R99,000 for parking, which is usually included in property purchase prices. These costs were not mentioned anywhere on their website or promotional materials. Non-Refundable Reservation Fee: Upon requesting a refund for the R5,000 reservation fee, due to the withheld information only revealed in the Deed of Sale, my request was refused. The sales agent claimed the fee was non-refundable despite their failure to provide all relevant details upfront. Intentional Withholding of Information: The development’s promotional materials deliberately excluded key financial obligations, embedding them in a lengthy 40-page Deed of Sale. This approach appears to exploit buyers' trust, coercing them into agreements under false pretenses. Such practices are highly ********* and undermine the trust of potential buyers. I urge others to exercise caution and thoroughly vet this development before committing. I believe it is only fair for the reservation fee to be refunded when vital information is deliberately withheld until after payment. This experience has left me questioning the integrity of the developers and the transparency of their sales processes. I hope this review serves as a warning to others.
I needed some advice regarding a border letter for my Vehicle and Nokutula was kind and efficient in helping me.
I spoke to Moostapha R Saidi and he updated the details on the policy for me. Thank you
I had a Sanlam life policy that was canceled on 1 January 2023. A debit order was deducted on 30 December 2022. Another debit order was deducted on 11 January. Why was I not reimbursed for the January premium which I paid on 30 December 2022? Secondly, why was I debited again on 11 January 2023 after my policy was cancelled?
Thank you for the excellent service I received from Kagiso Molebatsi and his team at Haval Centurion and for them making my mother's birthday special.
It was pleasant working with Charles Manyike from Santam. He answered all the questions I had and I received an excellent premium and excess. I hope I will never have to make a claim, however if I do, I hope to have the same pleasant experience I have had when signing up for motor insurance.
I entered into a business relationship with Rezaan Abrahams who works for a company called SupraVest / Media Mob. They have branches both locally and internationally. I purchased two investment products from them in 2020 and thereafter Rezaan also asked me to join his private t-shirt business in 2021. SupraVest / Media Mob I purchased a Network Broadcast Point (in April 2020) and a Collagen Rejuvenation Booth (in July 2020) from SupraVest / Media Mob. These two investment products were intended to bring in high returns. The company was hit hard due to the Covid 19 epidemic and they didn’t generate as much revenue as planned. However, I was still promised to receive compensation payments every month while we wait for business to get back to normal (according to our email communications and contract agreement). I only received 2 of those payments ever since our agreement began. T-Shirt Business In February this year, I also entered into a private t-shirt business with Rezaan. In this business, we print t-shirts in large quantities and distribute them to generate a profit. I have invested a lot, but now that it’s time to pay out the profits, he has a lot of excuses because he doesn’t want to pay me. All payments were made to him via EFT. Most of our conversations for this t-shirt business were done telephonically and I have only recently insisted that all our communications should be done via email. On Wednesday 23 June at 14:30, I went to see the Supravest Business offices on 11 Imam Haron Road, Claremont so that I could ask them questions in person. The complex has a lot of business but I couldn't find the company I was looking for so I called their landline that is displayed on their documents. The same receptionist who had previously said she has never heard of SupraVest, answered the landline when I called the number. I found out that they just have a virtual reception at 11 Imam Haron Road and the receptionist refused to disclose where the actual offices are because she said it is confidential. They have been promising me a refund since 1 June 2021 but now they are ignoring phone all calls and emails. I am a freelance photographer based in Cape Town. One of my clients wanted to celebrate their birthday in style so they made a group booking at the Asara Wine Estate and also paid a deposit to the estate in advance. I arrived at this estate a few minutes before my clients arrived. As soon as I pulled out my camera the manager by the name of Ricardo (if I remember the name correctly) rudely approached me and said that they don't allow photographs in their wine state. Secondly, when my clients arrived the waiters could not locate their booking even though a deposit was paid and the proof of payment had been emailed to the estate a few days in advance. I have 2 suggestions as a solution 1: Publish a disclaimer on your website that you do not allow photographs (even for your customers) 2. Put signs all over the wine estate that say "No Photography Allowed" so that if we miss the disclaimer on the website we are aware of it as soon as we arrive to avoiding embarrassment. I hope this was not a racial issue, however, I strongly believe that I would have not received the same ill-treatment if I was white. Based on my experience today I would never recommend my clients or anyone else to this wine estate ever again.
