Another venue I wanted to host my 21st by. Firstly y’all’s prices are ridiculous. You could do so much more and cater for more people and make even more money but clearly you prioritise your international customers so us locals do not matter. I made an appointment with Jenifer but she canceled on me and told me she’ll have someone else assist and upon arriving to asara no one was aware of my appointment this one man whose name I unfortunately forgot and was so busy kind of rushed the appointment but either way the price was not working for me. I tried to email again and the another lady said she’d get back to me and she never did so no one followed up. They’re friendly yes but again the customer service is disappointing. Is it my responsibility as a customer to bother y’all all the time to just get some decent service and information? I really loved asara I had my matric photos taken there but you kind of let me down and I’m disappointed so the only problem is communication and customer service.

I am a freelance photographer based in Cape Town. One of my clients wanted to celebrate their birthday in style so they made a group booking at the Asara Wine Estate and also paid a deposit to the estate in advance. I arrived at this estate a few minutes before my clients arrived. As soon as I pulled out my camera the manager by the name of Ricardo (if I remember the name correctly) rudely approached me and said that they don't allow photographs in their wine state. Secondly, when my clients arrived the waiters could not locate their booking even though a deposit was paid and the proof of payment had been emailed to the estate a few days in advance. I have 2 suggestions as a solution 1: Publish a disclaimer on your website that you do not allow photographs (even for your customers) 2. Put signs all over the wine estate that say "No Photography Allowed" so that if we miss the disclaimer on the website we are aware of it as soon as we arrive to avoiding embarrassment. I hope this was not a racial issue, however, I strongly believe that I would have not received the same ill-treatment if I was white. Based on my experience today I would never recommend my clients or anyone else to this wine estate ever again.

This cute tea room is a must visit. The "menu" is a room where you can see and smell the tea before hand. Rather Uber to it than drive and find parking. It takes you elsewhere. From the stunning rose gold theme, to the enchanting African teas, its charm will have you wanting to come back for more. Highly recommended, especially for tea lovers.

Dear Hello Peter, Let me salute this Restaurant for the best service I have ever experienced. Not only do they sell the best pizza around. To me the best in the world. I wet there flat out for two weeks, yes heard me correctly...I ordered for two weeks pizza from the restaurant. Not the cheapest, but who cares if the pallet is satisfied? You may enquire,as I build a lovely relationship with the beautiful staff,Zee in particular. They great, and has the best view. Go try it please...nothing tops this,as I had my fair share of pizza hunting..not even in Italy I could find anything that beats this..thank you Asara for everything... Salegga Petersen

The worst place ever!!!! And super unprofessional staff and management. February 2019 I had booked a birthday dinner for myself and family at this establishment which I though was "a fine establishment". We were asked to pay a deposit, which we did. Upon arrival we were four guests and the rest were on their way in another car. A waiter then came to take our drinks order. Whilst my partner was deciding what he was going to drink, the waiter simply walked away! We waited for almost 20 minutes for three drinks to arrive!!!! No waiters or manager came to our table to explain why the delay. I then got up and went to the manager. I told him that I was very disappointed with the service. People who've arrived after us were being served before us. I advise him that we were leaving and I would like a refund, which he agreed to pay back. It's been months of back and forth arguing with them about my money. They refuse to pay my deposit because I had to cancel in advance according to their policy. The more I try to explain to them that I left because of bad service and I was promise a refund, the more they stick to policy and procedures. I will NEVER set foot in that place again. I really wanted my wedding at Asara wine estate but after the disgusting service, i wouldn't even recommend it to anyone!!! NERVER AGAIN!!!!!

We lit cigars for our Groomsmen get ready pictures on the balcony and got charged R 1500. The also got accused for taking facecloths from the room and charged R 500. Without warning or any communication R 2500 was attempted on my credit card luckily I had used the funds and R 2000 was available. Tania Scheepers then attempted to charge R 1500 on my card successfully. Tania Scheepers then tried to charge R 1000 unsuccessfully and reverted to a lower amount charge of R 500 successfully charged. Me and my guests reserved over 6 rooms (over R 25 000 ) collectively for our wedding weekend at Asara to be met with average amenities and sub standard steaming services at exorbitant prices at the 'luxury hotel', I find it insulting that Asara would try charge amounts on my credit card without any communication or attempt for clarity. I'm asthmatic and do not smoke, the cigars were lit for a quick picture with my groomsmen none of which smoke. The greedy and unethical nature in which Asara/ Tania Scheepers dealt with us leaves the entire bridal party disgusted as we celebrated the most important day of our lives.
