Part 1: I am extremely disappointed at Metropolitan Life!! I took out a funeral cover about 3 years ago and earlier this year it lapsed. I called them to ask if they could reinstate the policy and the consultant I spoke to on the phone said I cannot pay outstanding premiums but I can make one payment that can unlock my policy - at claims stage then they will deduct the outstanding premiums. I then made a payment of one premium which is R576 and called them back to ask if all was in order, this was now a different consultant I spoke to, who then said to me they cannot reinstate my policy and those premiums of R576 I've been paying for almost 3 years are forfeited. Where is integrity in all these? I explained to her what her colleague said to me and she said she would escalate the query and have her supervisor listen to the recording of our conversation, then they will make a decision and provide me with feedback. I have been waiting for two weeks now and I have not heard from Metropolitan, no email no call. Nothing! After being a loyal client for so many years this is the level of service I get, I am honestly so disappointed, with so much money I have paid!!! It does not end here, you guys really have to reinstate my policy as your consultant advised you would. Part 2: I had an investment policy that Metropolitan refused to pay when I cancelled. Something they do not tell you upfront. Apparently I must wait for 2025 when the policy would have matured, the sad thing is, that money is not growing and the amount I will get then is the same as they would pay it out now. Can you pay out my money now, what is the point of keeping it if it is not generating an interest for me but for you?
This is a public announcement, do not sign up with rain because you won't get out pf the damn contract, they will keep debiting you even if you have cancelled. Please reserve my money NOW!!!!!
I had to fly with Mango to realise how professional and considerate you guys are. Keep it up, you are by far the best in the travel game!
First of all after booking a flight there’s no confirmation email or even an sms. Then you can’t check in until after 30 minutes or so. Thirdly when you get to the airport you are charged a ridiculous amount for a bag, the excuse is that it’s over weight whatever it is they claimed! Mind you the same bag was checked in by Safair without any issues. Safair is by far the best, don’t fly with Mango assuming that it’s cheaper, you’ll be surprised when you get to the airport- you could not have that extra R300 or R1000 they want and miss your flight.
MTN is secretly subscribing me to all these things I don't even know what they are and everyday about 30 rands goes off paying these subscriptions. I have tried cancelling and to my surprise today, everything I cancelled yesterday appeared back under subscriptions and my airtime was yet again deducted. I need all my airtime back please!!!!!!!! I am warning everyone to look out for this!!
Please respond to my email. I would like to know if I am only covered for trips between my residential area and working area. The contract says so, then if that is the case, I will have to cancel the policy. Please clarify. I have also found out from a friend that usually one would need to go to a specified place for the car to be assessed or inspected, well I didn't know. When I checked the contract I saw that as well. Is that the case? Where then must I take the car? Since it's lockdown, are they even open? What will happen if I have a claim and the car was never inspected? Its's important that you disclosed all these things to the client prior to them signing the contract, but I guess it works for you at claim stage? I sent the email on 5 May 2020. I sent another follow up today, please respond.
Can you tell me how you calculate the billing? I have just received the statement and is a ridiculous amount of money. I live alone and for one week I was away. How did you get this amount??? Please give me a detailed report, or is there something else you are billing that I am not aware of?? These estimations are wrong, you have to recalculate and send me the correct invoice.
Delete my account and send me an email confirming that you will no be taking money from my account as you are not authorized to do so!!!!!! I am already liaising with the DHET regarding this matter but I need that confirmation that my account is deleted and there won't be any further debit orders as I not a student at your institution, pls!
THIS REVIEW WAS DELETED BECAUSE I USED THE WORD "SCAM" I am currently not studying with Shaw, I created a profile last month testing the how it works. There was a special for a "one month free" but to move to the next step I had to load my banking details. As soon as I did I was debited R199 surprisingly, mind you this was supposed to be free. I immediately cancelled my profile, I called Shaw but no one picked up my call. Today again a debit order of R199 went off. This is extremely inconveniencing, my car insurance needs to go off but Shaw decided to just take my money. It is fraud that your system does not warn the person that a debit order is about to go off while trying the one month free special. I even went on to delete my profile, it is also fraud that your system deletes everything except for the banking details because you know that you are going to keep on debiting the person. I really need that money, I am not working during this lockdown period, then the money I borrowed just goes off like that when I need to pay my car insurance. Shaw has taken R399 that you were not authorized to take. I do not want to study with you guys, your system is misleading and therefore ridiculing the consumer rights. Please delete my banking details on your profile. I'm super angry because that was my last money. I have just tried logging in again, after I had deleted my profile there was nothing to show or any active courses. But I see that you have reactivated it because right now the landing page for me is where I am supposed to choose a class. I regret the day I ever went onto your system. Please refund me as soon as possible. Yoh!!
