Used to love FNB, but service levels now are shocking. I am currently out of country and received a call from my wife that her credit card is not working. She went to FNB Willowbridge, where they tried to convince her that 4 merchants that refused the card entered information incorrectly. After proving to them at the ATM that the card is really not working, they told her they cannot assist as I am the account holder. Subsequent to that I made an online purchase. Gets referred to the FNB app for approval as per normal, and get the message that transaction has been approved, only for the transaction never to go through - so my card also stopped working. Left numerous messages on the App message service for the "agents" (either the worst trained agents in history or more likely chatbots - FNB obviously does not understand how AI is supposed to work). I tried to e-mail FNB, but mails bounce back. One of the chatbots told me on a Wednesday, that the card division cannot help me over weekends! In addition, I realised that my May debit order to pay my credit card never went off. Now I am getting messages from FNB to pay my card! Another chatbot/"agent" told me that I cannot be helped online as my device is not linked - even though when I go online, it clearly is linked. Phone calls gets terminated nearly as soon as it is picked up (and I have not been abusing the staff on the other end). Sorry FNB, but I think our paths are going to part very soon.
Before her passing in May, my mother-in-law cancelled her DSTV subscription. In July, DSTV tried to take a double subscription, which was returned by the bank due to a lack of funds. Undeterred however, DSTV then deducted R975.60 (subs plus insurance on decoders that she also transferred prior to her passing) on 20 August. After numerous calls to DSTV, they finally graced her estate by refunding R813.00 on 21 October. I strongly advise anyone making use of their services, not to give your banking details to DSTV, rather pay them per EFT. They clearly have no ethical standards and will not hesitate to take your money after your passing. Greed clearly does not respect the dead. I guess the short payment is just another "system error" which will take 5 more calls and result in more broken promises of " it will be paid back in the next 5 - 7 working days".
My mind was blown - both at the speed as well as the offer they put o the table. Awesome service. Will definitely use getWorth again.
Burst geyser reported to Discovery. Thabo arranged the plumbers to come and have a look and kept following up on whether they have arrived as well as following up on whether they have provided me with feedback. So far only had great service from Discovery since moving to them two years ago.
I recently had a problem with soft luggage that I bought from Flying brick. My issue was not with the staff from Flying Brick, but with the product that was sold through them, that slipped through the QC at the manufacturing. My intention was just that they pass on the message. I put the issues in an e-mail and barely pressed the "send" button when Chris phoned me. He immediately offered to repair even the smallest of issues that I listed. I can recommend Flying Brick to anyone for their wide choice of merchandise, the knowledge of the staff and above all the after sales service from Chris
We were recently informed by Telkom that our prepaid copper line was going to be replaced with a land line look alike phone. We were given the choice of accepting the new phone now at no cost or wait until we are forced to take it and buy for the instrument. We opted for the conversion now with the free instrument. The instrument itself is great with fantastic features and excellent reception BUT I cannot connect my fax machine (yes, I still have one of those), nor my alarm to this instrument. I also used to have a second instrument in the bedroom, but now I have to carry this new box around every day. Sorry Telkom - not good enough.
Mimosa Mall security is a farce. My vehicle was broken into on Friday 6 July. First security tried to tell me that the security camera does not cover my vehicle. When I pointed out the camera in the other corner which had an unobstructed view of my vehicle, they then claimed that they cannot show me footage as the security footage can only be shown by a supervisor. When I called (I had to leave early the next morning for Cape Town) to ensure that they do not destroy the footage, they told me that they keep the footage for three weeks and that I have no need to worry. When the police requested the footage, the security cameras suddenly malfunctioned and they had no footage. Sorry Mimosa, simply not believable that your cameras suddenly stopped working and that none of your guards heard the alarm.
I have recently contacted Vodacom with a complaint that my subscription (ex VAT) went up by R41.35 (I am still under 24 month contract). After half an hour on the phone, I was first informed that is because my data allocation increased from 500Mb to 650Mb (I have 1 Gb inclusive + an additional 1Gb every month). They then changed the story and I received a reference number (A2-AVMY-GCH110) on Wednesday afternoon while they "will further investigate". On Friday morning, I received an SMS to inform me that the ticket has been closed with the response that Vodacom sent me an SMS on 2 March that the VAT rate is going up and therefore my subs will change. They must really believe me to be an idiot if they think that their pre-VAT increase (and my reduction in data) can be explained by the increase in the VAT. Sorry Vodacom, admit that you are trying to pull a fast one, or that you made an error, but please do not call me stupid.
