No presence on the internet except for a site under reconstruction. Some negative mentions on social media for the some of the people involved with this company and nothing about others. Who actually was the founder/ co-founder, and what expertise do any of the senior personnel have?
Excellent service from Kyle who managed to find a part in East London and had it delivered to Port Alfred on Friday afternoon. He then worked through Friday evening to fit it before delivering the car back. Incredible service, many thanks.
I ordered a wine gift selection to be delivered to UK. First problem was that the website had the wrong prices. When I ordered the new price was shown but I went ahead with the order. Next problem was that the order never arrived after the 7-10 days I was quoted. I then found out that the delivery was being made from a warehouse in Germany. When I eventually got a notification of the delivery (well overdue) I arranged to have the delivery on another day when the recipients would be back home. They delivered it the day before they were supposed to and left it with a neighbour. Totally unacceptable. I then asked the recipient what wines were delivered and only 2 of the bottles were as ordered. Nowhere do they say that wines will be substituted. Their international delivery is basically a ****. Everything was wrong from the start and when I complained and asked for an explanation I was sent an automatic reply providing their shop opening hours and then silence. It would have been easier contacting a wine merchant in UK and ordering SA wines.
Have to pay a fee to Vumatel to downgrade my line speed. Last year I was "gifted" an upgrade that made no significant difference and now they have increased the prices. If I want to change back to my original speed I have to pay a penalty of R575. If I want to move to another ISP they charge about R1,000 - the same as a new line. It's monopolistic abuse because wherever they put in fibre the other companies stay away, except in a few areas. More control is needed on these people.
They took 9 days to respond to a double billing query and even then they told me that they had seen my previous comment on Hellopeter and not the actual ticket that I opened with them. I've now been given a credit so they got the extra money for a month free! Not good enough. I would have moved some time ago except for Vumatel charging for a new installation if there is any change in ISP - another racket
What has happened to Cool Ideas? They used to be top of the favourites charts but something has changed. My December VOIP bill had a double entry and despite contacting them and raising a ticket they debited my account whit twice the monthly amount and didn't reply to the ticket. I sent another note on the ticket and still stony silence. Something is very wrong with Cool Ideas.
we were 10 people from a retirement village and friends who went to see Where the Crawdads Sing in Rosebank Cinema 8 at 16:15 on 23rd September 2023. After 20 minutes sitting in darkness an image appeared on the screen, but it was stationary. Eventually one person went and reported it. After a further wait the film actually started, or more exactly continued. This meant that we had missed a vital part of the start of the film. Why was the theatre in darkness when they knew that tickets had been sold, especially to elderly people? Why did we need to report it? Why didn't they restart the film from the beginning? This isn't the first time we have had to walk into a blacked out Theatre, or had to contact someone to fix the lighting but certainly this is the first time we haven't seen the complete film. Sloppy and uncaring management need to get their act together. The only good thing I can say is that the foyer attendants are excellent and helpful but management are the pits.
This is the most appalling service from any company that I have ever dealt with, and I'm a pensioner so that is very many. I am a pensioner on a retirement village and had a Stay Essential package. I cancelled that at the end of June to start a Premium package so that I could have PVR and Xtraview. You would have thought that they would have jumped at the chance of extra revenue but it has been excruciatingly difficult and time and again I have been given erroneous information and the run-around. Finally I managed to get my decoder de-activated from the retirement village 'ownership' and have the Premium package. However, I still can't get an old decoder that was replaced on my previous package. This is mainly due to Multichoice not deregistering a decoder when it is no longer used. The decoders are mine, bought by me, and registered in my name under the retirement village package, but Multichoice insist they are owned by the retirement village. I was finally told that I had to complete a Change of Ownership form and was given a link to download it. I completed it and sent it to the email id listed on the form. help@dstv.com. I got an automatic response with a reference no. but didn't hear any more. Today I phoned to see what was happening, apparently NOTHING and was asked to resubmit the form to changeofownership@multichoice.co.za I did this and got a reply from the Multichoice Postmaster saying that the address couldn't be found. When will this company ever get it's act together? No wonder they are bleeding customers.
Excellent service from easy ordering to delivery. They kept me in touch with the tracking all the time until I received the package. They are obviously a company that cares about their customers.
Sorry I can't give you ZERO. I wanted to change ISP but have Vumatel as the area fibre supplier. Because of this I would have to pay an 'activation' fee of R875.00 to Vumatel simply to switch ISPs. Vumatel is the only supplier to make this charge. What is it for? Vumatel is already the most expensive supplier. Time we had a decent department overseeing Comms.
