I've also been receiving ENDLESS sms messages from this "company" threatening me with judgements for an UNKNOWN AMOUNT relating to a supposed telkom debt which was resolved years ago. They never call back, or give any details of the supposed debt - just their bank details!!! I'm sick and tired of being harassed by them 😡 I've noticed that they also never respond to the hellopeter reviews. It's disgusting.
I have had an ongoing fight with MTN for over a year now in respect of data that they charged me for incorrectly. You keep claiming that you are handling the account, but I have repeatedly told you that MTN passed a R7000 credit on my account, and that Hammond Pole are in fact handling this. I have paid the final balance to them. I sent you an email - as requested - confirming that Hammond Pole are handling this. Esther is rude and belligerent and this matter has STILL not been removed from your books. She has the audacity to tell ME to sort it out. Firstly, I don't see why I should sort out your errors, and secondly, I have tried to call your company and it has cost me a fortune in airtime - and I have never even got through to anyone as I am kept on hold forever. STOP HARASSING ME WITH YOUR RUDE CALLS AND MESSAGES
A couple of weeks ago, Telkom deactivated my email address for no reason. I have since (after about two hours of explaining) been reactivated - but ALL MY EMAILS AND CONTACTS ARE GONE Telkom tells me that when an account is deactivated, everything is deleted and THEY CANNOT RECOVER THEM How is it that Telkom can firstly, deactivate my account for no reason (I am still trying to find out why) and, secondly, then have no way of retrieving my data? In addition, I am told that the only way I can find out (possibly) is to call 10210 or 10213. Well, I have already spent more than R50 in airtime holding on to speak to someone. I want my emails, inbox folders, and contacts restored. I have important emails that I have now not received, plus I need the correspondence history for many ongoing issues. Why is it that I must now spend my time and money to try and figure this out. I want someone from Telkom to contact me - they created this mess!!
MTN IS A CORPORATE BULLY - UNABLE / UNWILLING TO SORT PROBLEMS OUT, AND WITH NO ACTION WHATSOEVER. MY ACCOUNT MESS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE SEPTEMBER 2016. MY PREVIOUS REVIEW WAS RESPONDED TO - FINALLY - AND NOW THEY HAVE GONE QUIET AGAIN. THE SITUATION HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED, AND, DESPITE PROMISES OF FIXING IT, AND ADMITTING THAT IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE - THEY ARE NOW IGNORING ME AGAIN, AND STILL HAVEN'T FIXED THE PROBLEM. I AM STARTING A NEW REVIEW BECAUSE I GET NO REPLY ANY MORE FROM THE PREVIOUS ONE. THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO BULLY ME INTO PAYING FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW - I THINK THAT THEY JUST HOPE THAT PEOPLE WILL PAY UP JUST TO GET RID OF THEM. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET THIS SORTED OUT????
<p>I posted a complaint on hellopeter on 3rd June.</p> <p>I received an automated reply from MTN on 13th June - reference number ********** 9</p> <p>I posted a private reply on 15th June, providing my phone number and requesting someone to call me.</p> <p>To date, I have STILL not been contacted.</p> <p>I posted another private reply today, requesting someone to contact me.</p> <p>How can a complaint be resolved if no-one deals with it? I have been through months of HELL with MTN trying to get this sorted out - only to be passed from pillar to post over and over, being give the same lame response. NOBODY actually DOES something.</p> <p>I have had to get a prepaid number - I had my previous number for 20 YEARS, so it has been hugely inconvenient to say the least.</p> <p>I have cried tears of frustration and anger many times - STILL NO RESOLUTION.</p>
<p>MTN incorrectly charged me in August 2016 for calls and data usage. I have been trying since September last year to get it resolved. I have spent HOURS on phone calls and visits to try and get it sorted out. The responses are completely unhelpful - as far as being blamed for the error myself. I have apparently been handed over to their legal department. I have tried to get contact details for them on many occasions, and cannot even get that. My latest attempt was going back (AGAIN) to the Fourways Mall store to try and get it sorted out once and for all. The response is again 'our system says so'. I have had to go onto pay as you go. This obviously changed my phone number - which I had for about 15 years. Each time I call them, it costs me a fortune. WHY IS IT SO IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE WITH THE ABILITY TO SORT THIS OUT????</p>
