I never knew that cancelling a contract would be such a nightmare. I took out a 36month contract with Vodacom which came to an end on 5 September 2020. On 4th August, I called to cancel the contract (with more than 20 days notice as stipulated in my contract). After trying to sell me a renewal (which I declined) they then tell me that they cant process the cancellation as yet, and I should call back beginning of September. I had received data the beginning of August, debit order goes off 28 August and I receive more data at the beginning of September again. I called them on 1 September again to process the cancellation. The agent explains that the contract is now cancelled and that there will be no debit order processed for end September. 11 September, I receive my statement which shows I'm still paying for the full contract (for the device and the data) which I again call to query. The agent then tells me that I called to late for the cancellation. LIKE WHAT!!!! Going into the store was deemed pointless as well. After another 5 calls, the contract was migrated to contract, I overpaid Vodacom (but they wont admit it), and now I am hoping I will not have another debit at the end of this month.
We bought a Hyperli voucher for 4 nights at Akkerboom Cottages (near Barrydale) and what a blissful experience. No TV No cellphones (our choice) No noisy hustling cars It was just us, a radio and a fire going all day long. The cottage was super clean with fresh linen and towels and a fully kitted out kitchen. We literally only needed to bring our food, games and clothes. The service received from Susan was impeccable. Loadshedding didn't even affect us as the cottage had a gas stove
I was mailed to note that my parcel was dispatched at 8:20am on 20 Feb and I noticed that my contact number was a number that I don't always use. I then called the call centre to change my contact number... the call centre agent assured me that my number has been changed. I then end up tracking my parcel ALL day. By 1pm, I become concerned that they haven't called me again, and I call the centre again to double check that my number has changed. A new agent attends to me, and my number has not changed... obviously, I end up changing my number again with the new agent. Again she says, your details have been changed, and she assures me that my parcel is on the road and will be delivered today. 3pm I decide to check my parcel again and send a message to the live chat and the agent tells me that she can't track where my parcel is and they will call me when the driver is in the area. WHAT???? Your website boasts about knowing where a parcel is at all times???? 7:41 on 21 Feb, I received another email to state that my parcel is out for delivery (with the old contact number that still hasn't been changed after making TWO requests), I then check the tracking history and what do I see? 2018-02-20 05:41:04 PM RAMMobile NonDelivery - . 2018-02-20 06:15:58 PM UNSUCCESSFULL DELIVERY IN Cape Town - Unavailable Home - Contact Not Available. 2018-02-20 07:35:13 PM UNSUCCESSFULL DELIVERY IN Cape Town - Unavailable Home - Contact Not Available. CONTACT UNAVAILABLE???? Yet nobody contacted me! Not on the number that they had on system, nor on the new number I supplied them with! I will never advise this company to anyone.
So Telkom has this amazing deal which is a contract for 11gb mobile data for 24months at R139. Super excited, I pay a visit to their website to apply and am told that an agent will be in contact with me in the next 48hrs. I'm so excited!!! Eventually an agent calls me 4 days later and I wish she hadn't!!! She tells me that all calls are recorded - I'm cool with this. She carries on with her disclaimer rhymes and confirms what she needs to confirm - half screaming at me to repeat myself 50 times BECAUSE SHE CAN'T HEAR ME!!! Eventually I politely ask her to please put her music softer because I cannot hear myself over our phone call. Her response: HUH??? I ask her again to please put your music off because we both can't hear each other. Her response: Hai soega!!! MXM!!! And she throws the phone down! Why is there blaring music in a call centre in the first place?!?! NEVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM TELKOM IN MY LIFE!!!
I bought my phone (LG G2 Mini) from MTN in June 2014 after waiting for 2 months.
I was the happiest LG user ever until one random afternoon.
My phone was being charged and when I removed my phone from the charger, all my numbers that were saved to my phone had disappeared. The only numbers left on my phone were those that I had Whatsapp conversations with (all saved in my phonebook as \No Name").
I called my number from a landline number that I knew I had saved in my phonebook and even though I was sitting with my LG in my hand"
