Yesterday I went to Lenasia (Signet Terrace Mall) for shopping, and my daughter spotted Mr Price Stores, which I didn't know existed in the mall. I was very excited and went straight inside as it was late already ( I'm sure it was 15 min before 6). Immediately when we walked in, the security lady closed the door, and as we were looking around I started hearing some noise coming from the staff. These were 3/4 ladies that were cleaning close to the door and shockingly, these ladies were throwing comments as to why the guys from the till not announcing that the store was closed using the mic. I couldn’t get names as they didn’t have name tags on, but one of them is light-skinned with glasses. The security lady was also part of the group. If there are any cameras in the store, I’m sure you can see which ladies were by the door just before 6 pm. They started making comments directed to us as customers, " Ayfambe ! Ayfambe," meaning that " you people must leave now. One of them had the nerve to say " These people are not even 15 min in this store, and we want to knock off THINA". I couldn't hold myself and asked her " is that us now, CUSTOMERS?" and she ignored me. O remember I was shopping with this one lady that is coloured and you could tell she understood Zulu a bit, and she kept on saying, " What the hell is happening here? What circus is this?". I cannot believe that there's a Mr Price Store with such rude staff members. How can such a well-established retail store hire such people! These people behaved as if they are working in a Shebeen. This is very disappointing for a new store. I wonder if the owner of this store is aware of these hooligans working in his or her store. I cannot say anything about the manager as all of this is happening under his/ her supervision. I will not be treated as if I went there to buy on credit or ***** from the store. Is this the reason why this store was opened? To treat people like this? This is a huge embarrassment to this retail and again I wonder where these people are taken from. It felt like we were in a ****a shop owned by a bunch of drunk people. There was no order, the staff were shouting at customers to hurry up with shopping because they wanted to knock off. Where have you ever heard such behaviour? I went there to shop but only went out with one item because I couldn't take it anymore. I am in a customer service environment, and I believe that I need to show respect to my customers because they are paying my salary. What on earth is happening in this store? Like seriously!
I worked for Akani Retirement Fund Administrators and resigned after 12 months. I claimed my Pension Fund, and the owner deducted money for the training I did when I started working at the company, and the bonus he paid me during my employment. I then took the matter to the PFA, and the determination was issued in my favor. The company still did not pay me as per the ruling from the PFA, and I then took the matter to FSCA, and he still did not pay me. I am not sure if this means what this company did is allowed, as I have tried all these options and still no payment is received. Sad part of it all is that I was one of the beneficiaries of the Living Hands Trust Fund when my father passed away, and my mother only received 2 payments from the Trust as the funds were ****** by the administrators of the Trust. I am not sure if Akani Retirement Fund used to be part of this company, as I've seen files for MATCO during my stay at Akani, and now this happens to me again.
I bought a petrol pump at Korean Spares in Lenasia on 03.09.2025. I gave the sales guy my engine number and asked him if it was possible to exchange if it doesn't fit, and he advised that it won't be necessary as he had sold this to me using my engine number. I then went and got the part fitted in my car and my car wouldn't start after that. I called the guy and told him my car won't start with this petrol pump, and he advised that, unfortunately, he won't be able to exchange I must buy another one. My question now is how is't possible that the packaging of the part is reflecting the correct details of the product I want and the product inside is something else? The guy even mentioned that this might be due to a factory fault. Who must pay now for a factory fault? Me?
I bought couches from Rochester in South Gate Mall and they were delivered same day. When we got to my house the guys put together the couches and only to find out the one sitter was not delivered. In addition to that we also noticed that the one side of my 2 sitter is not reclining and the delivery guy noted all of that down. This was on the 26th of April and this guy promised to deliver the remaining couch the following day. Days went pass and nothing was delivered to my house, no call from the shop to apologize and advise of my remaining couch. I then phoned the shop after a week and spoke to one of the sales guys who advised that the couch has been ordered from the factory and he will keep me posted of the outcome. Till today I have not heard from these people and now all I want is for them to collect their stupid couches from my house and refund me my money including the one I paid for delivery.
Good day I have a sister that is working for Food Lovers. She is allocated in the fridge section. My main problem is that they don't wear any safety equipment in that section and as I'm writing this to you she is always cold and coughing due to that fridge she's working in. Everyday she come home with her voice gone and always cold. My worry is that this is going to create a permanent damage on her and I must pick up the pieces as I'm the older sister. I have seen retails whereby staff members allocated in the fridge section have safety equipment on but Food Lovers doesn't have that. I am not sure if how much damaged has been caused in my sister's health due to this negligence but I feel that staff should rotate , you can't have people working in the fridge forever what about their health, at the same time you don't have any safety measures for those people.
I went to the Chesanyama ( my Favourite ) shop in Lenasia train station on Saturday with my sister to get food . I normally buy 1/4 chicken ( breast portion ) with chips and unfortunately they only had legs (strange ) . My sister ordered a roll as well with the same meal . The lady ( skinny and light in complexion) looked very sick as she was pulling her legs when serving us . I noticed that the store was clean and didn't see meat in the braai stand . I even asked my sister if they were closing or what . She then took out the meat from a silver container and switched on the stove ...after 10 minutes she called out our order . Immediately when I started eating there was a bad smell from the food . I then asked my sister if she can smell it too and she confirmed and the worst part the roll was off as well . We went inside with the food and asked them to check the source as I thought that was the problem . Some guy came and gave me a source in a container to taste , and there was nothing wrong with it . I told them its the meat then that is off .The staff came and they were looking at us as if we are preforming and didn't even want to taste the meat . We had to leave the food there
