Really disappointed with Toyota Halfway Honeydew. Bought the car in 2019 and we drove for 4 years with no issues, in December 2023 we had issues with the clutch and we took the car there and paid a lot of money to have it fixed, exactly 3 days after taking the car the rev count goes very high when starting the car and 7 months down the line the clutch is dead again. Took the car back to them and we are told the warranty which was supposed to be 1 year or 20000km does not apply so we have to pay again. We did pay. Now in August 2025 the clutch is dead again. I really dont understand how this is happening because we bought genuine parts for them to fix the car but it seems it is not being done correctly and they refuse to take responsibility all the time.
I went to Huawei Sandton store to buy a phone on Thursday(06/06/2024). I was told certain apps from google work(which was a lie) and because of that I decided to buy the phone and went home. As soon as I arrived at home I started to set up the phone and realized that those Apps to do not work so I decided to take back the phone 2 hours later after I bought it. I was shocked when the manager refused to take the phone with nothing wrong on the phone, we had a very long argument in front of other customers(I would be surprised if those customers proceeded to buy the products after what they saw) and she could not give me a straight answer why she was not taking the phone and give me my money, it felt like my rights as a customer where being violated. A junior employee had to intervene as what the "manager" was saying did not make sense. I understand it could be difficult to sell some of your products because of the issues with USA/Google, but the cherry on top is when your "manager" with extremely poor customer handling skills has to face the customers and say things that don't make sense.
Edgars Northgate have a very strange service, from the moment you get in, they escort you until you buy what you want to buy, they even walk you to the cashier and look at you while you pay, after that they still can't believe the receipt when looking at it(I don't know whether the guy struggled to understand the receipt or what but he looked at it for more than 5 minutes). I have experienced the worst service here, my car was involved in a minor accident in October 2019, then I took it there for repair. 4 weeks later, they called me to come and fetch the car. When I got there, they showed me the car and I noticed that the headlights have been swapped and the car was using old/damaged lights. I asked them and they said it must have been a mistake and they were going change the lights, they said they will order the lights and call me when they received them. I waited for 2 weeks and on the third week I went there to check if they received the lights, when I got there I was told they have not received them, thereafter I went every week to check if they received them and they kept on saying they hadn't, I also called and I would be told that the person who was working on the issue was not available or they were on another call. After 6 months of getting no help I eventually decided to just leave it. The worst part was that the lights they put on the car were getting filled with water when it rained and there was no need to replace the headlights as only the rear-part of the car was damaged during the accident. The person who was looking in to the issue was a lady called Jackie, she is the one who said they were going to order the lights and it never happened.
