It's crazy to see the amount of 1 star ratings here for Makro. It seems the company has gone down in the dumps. I purchased a "Luxury rocking chair", only to receive a product that was not only false adverti*****t but also a used product. It wasn't remotely what was on the picture that was sold to me and it was scuffed and damaged. I logged a return the exact same day and no progress since then. Everytime I call they say they will escalate it, but it seems like something they tell everyone from looking at the reviews here. I assume they will go underground soon.
Bought a Tablet from them in early September. It died on me 2 weeks after I received it. I had to send it back at my own cost of R3500 (+- $200). It was received by them on 26 September 2024. They then refunded me for an item which I did not even log for return, and still have in my possession but claim that my tablet I sent back ($1200) has not been received yet. Despite giving them the name of the person that signed for receiving the tablet at their return center, they keep on sending me generic messages to basically wait longer. This is absurd and the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company. No-one is willing to investigate what is going on or to see if they can assist, they just keep on sending generic bot-like responses.

Hi<br> <br> 2 Months ago I got LTE capped from you guys. In the begging I was getting 80mbps download on speedtest +-. Now I am lucky if I get 10mbps.<br> <br> My download speeds barely go over 900kbps which is quite shocking for LTE. I phone 3 times now and 2 times the assistants were so useless I had to give up. I could not get it across that my LTE is much slower than it was and is suppose to be, and they physically could not comprehend it.<br> <br> My first complaint was 25/12/2015. Hi<br> <br> I decided to move ISP and thought that OpenWeb would be a decent alternative. I moved to them on Monday the 1st of June. The first night things were DECENT at the best. The next morning I was struggling to load Facebook and simple pages. I also couldn't receive any sort of media through Whatsapp on my phone which is connected to Wi-Fi.(Tried other ISP and worked 100%). This problem carried on into the night as I got packet loss and ping spikes. Downloads and surfing seemed to work fine again though. This continued on and off until today.<br> <br> On Tuesday I phoned them reporting the issue. They took about 3 hours to get back to me. I wrote a complaint on their FB page and they simply deleted the post and blocked me of their page instead of replying with an adequate answer to my problems. Their Login portal has also been of since I got the account. I can NOT access my account on their website.<br> <br> Everytime I phone them they do the same thing and claim to have \fixed"the problem. But yet again this morning the internet is so dead I am struggling to load any page. This has been the most unpleasant encounter with an ISP.<br> <br> I'd NEVER reccomend OpenWeb to anyone.
