The help line does not work for queries regarding online orders and they don’t answer emails. Pathetic service
Good luck trying to get a refund out of this company, I get sent from pillar to post and empty promises that they will call you back!
I purchased a painting for R6,000 from Ouhout, which was clearly advertised on the website as coming with a frame. To be sure, I queried this before purchasing, and Denise confirmed — after checking with the warehouse — that the painting included a frame. Shortly after I paid the R6000, I was informed that the frame was actually not included, but I was reassured that a frame would be added, as it had been advertised that way. It’s now been over five weeks, and I’ve had zero response to my calls, emails, or messages and I get vague answers from Denise if she answers the WhatsApp and blames public holidays which are long gone. This is unacceptable service for a high-value purchase, and I feel completely let down. I would not recommend this seller based on my experience — misleading advertising, broken promises, and no accountability or follow-up.
On Saturday, 29 March 2025, the vehicle began emitting a loud clanging noise while I was driving. I was close to home and returned immediately. On Monday, 31 March, I attempted to take the vehicle to VW Menlyn for inspection. Unfortunately, the vehicle broke down en route and had to be towed by my insurer. Following an assessment by VW Menlyn, it was revealed that the car had previously undergone substandard repairs — specifically to the left-side drive shaft and ball joint. Non-standard parts appear to have been used, and the inner CV joint eventually came loose, resulting in serious damage to the gearbox. The repair quote provided by Francois (Service Manager) is approximately R191,000. We are extremely concerned and disappointed by this situation. This vehicle was purchased from an authorised Volkswagen dealership, and we were assured that it had undergone all appropriate checks. There was no disclosure of any previous accident damage or non-standard repairs. In fact, we were led to believe the vehicle was in excellent condition.
my line was cencelled on the 30th April and yet i still get billed. when i call i get put through from pillar to post with no-one seemingly able to assist .
