Recently had to book return airfares from Johannesburg, SA to Conakry, Guinea. TravelStart had an option in business class on Ethiopean/Asky airlines business class on all legs. Booked the tickets, TravelStart charged in full and then came back and said one seat was unavailable. After talking back and forth for two days decided to take an economy class ticket in that specific leg. TravelStart issued a ticket but refused to refund referring to the increase in fares. Bottom line is: 1. TravelStart lists tickets that may not have seats; 2. They charge the full price without checking whether seats are actually available; 3. They refuse to refund should a passenger downgrade. Conclusions: 1. Stay away fro Asky airlines, this is the ultimate culprit. 2. Use TravelStart to search only and then go to the airline itself to make the actual booking and save money

Paid both the deposit and the balance on an order which which reportedly arrived in Apr'17. That was the end of it, emails bounce back, phones switched off or dogs' barking as an answer. They probably collected the money and closed the shop. Am not even convinced that container has ever been loaded and despatched.

Competitive pricing, good service and quick delivery
Always need to phone a few times to get a deposit refund back. Last time was simply unreal - car returned 30 August all in order, deposit has not been received to date, 16 September. They blame Standard Bank but why other service providers return deposits in good time? Am fed up
This company installed two GeyserWise Max control systems for two new solar water heating geysers. After a few years one pump started circulating continuously so that all the heat accumulated in a water drum in the daytime was lost overnight. It took me a month to arrange an appointment to come and repair the faulty control panel, then when I eventually managed to get a firm date and time, no-one arrived, no-one phoned me to re-schedule, no apology, no support. Draw your own conclusions whether you want to employ them.
When placing an ad on Gumtree South African edition, beware of using a decimal point. Being accustomed to electronic banking, inserted a decimal point when pricing my items for sale, followed by double zero for cents, and the decimal point wasn't recognised but zeros retained, such as instead of 5000.00 you see 500000. In the result prices became 100x times higher. My ads were removed and the account locked. I was begging the support desk to resolve my issue and unlock the account. In return - dead silence, no answer, no action. Admit my fault - should have checked the prices before posting, but the support desk attitude after all my emails and begging for help is nothing but negligence!
