So I signed for the unlimited data with Telkom in 2020 and months after that I cancelled the contract, they debited the last installment. and life went on, after about 2 months, they tried debiting my account and I called in and they said I never cancelled the contract. so I requested them to cancel AGAIN. I thought I was done with Telkom until last month all of the sudden, Telkom appears on my report claiming I owe them R 5920.00! I mean how do I owe you data I cancelled and never used because I destroyed the simcard afterwards. I feel as consumers we need protection from such ****s, as this can destroy peoples lives, as it will affect your credit score and we need a good credit to even apply for school and renting for a place to stay. I demand answers and I need this removed ASAP.
My car was involved in an accident and the third party insured me that they will pay for the damages, a year later they declined the claim, so I logged a claim with discovery, after weeks of sending email, I finally got a response last week in form of a call, the lady then transferred me to the claims department. I spoke to a guy and as I was explaining to him, he sounded rude and irritated. He hung up on me and never called back, I thought let me wait a few days maybe they will call and till today, nothing. When I call I get transferred from department to another. I chose discovery because I knew I was safe with them because of their reputation. This is dissapointing!
I have been sending emails almost everyday requesting for Absa Internal recoveries to call me till today no calls. Today I get an sms that I didn’t honour my promise to make payment. What payment because I have had no response? Who was this “arrangement” discussed with? I just wanna settle my debt so I can go on with my life and no they are making it difficult for me. I even called several times and Everytime I call I’m told to send an email. But no one responses to that email… I’m fed up I don’t know what to do… is it difficult to call your clients. I mean it’s not like I’m asking for money I’m begging to pay you.
So I got a car through my sister, she app**** on my behalf and they have been debiting her and I would pay every month, last year November the car was involved in an accident and the insurance declined the claim, after a horrific battle with the insurance company, they finally told us where the car is. I contacted SMD and they said I have 14 working days to fetch the car and I asked them if they would but it, they made an offer and sent the offer to Starndard bank (bronwyn) it’s been 3 weeks and there’s no response from her, I finally got an alternative email and they forwarded the email to the bronwyn and she still has NOT responded… is this the quality of service starndard bank offers? You don’t reply to emails ? I’m so angry I can’t even explain because now I have to pay for storage and fetch the car which I have no storage for on top of all the problems I have of having to pay for the car that I don’t drive for years… there has to be a law regarding this kind of service and I will find out where I can lay a complaint…
Early last year I registered my car on Rent my ride, I was sceptical at first as I was worried should something happen to my car, I kept rejecting the requests for their clients to rent my car until finally I agreed in November of last year. Literally the next day their client sent me a massage telling me my car has been involved in a car accidents. He sent me pictures and immediately I knew it was a write off because the airbags were out. I informed Rent my ride about the accident and they assured me that this will be resolved in time and in the meantime they organise me a car to travel to work and back. It was going to be difficult for me to get transportation to travel to work as there are no taxis. After their insurance company dropped them, they couldn’t supply a car for me anymore and promised a weekly transport allowance. They paid for a few weeks and then that’s when things started getting very shady. 1 . They didn’t tell me the outcome of the claim, I had to call the insurance company and I found out for myself. 2. The CEO resigned and he never even bothered to tell me the outcome of the claim. 3. They stopped paying the allowance and it’s been 4 weeks now. 4. All my emails and WhatsApp massages were ignored. I could see Caryn was on WhatsApp but never read my massages. 5. Their landline listed on their website is no longer working. 6. Caryn, who I was dealing with regarding the allowance will not answer her phone. 7. They refuse to send me the Insurance schedule and the letter stating the outcome of the claim and I need to submit to the ombudsman. This is how this is impacting me: • I haven’t gone to work from Monday as I don’t have money to Uber. • I have to walk to my daughters school so she can at least get to school. • I owe people money as I was hoping Caryn will at least respond to me. • I am at risk of loosing my job as I haven’t been going to work for 3 days. • I suffer for depression because of all of this and I can’t stop myself from crying as I feel they are taking advantage of me because I am a black woman and a single mother. • Last month and this month I will have to pay for the car that I don’t even have and who knows for how long. I am angry, tired and sick because of all of this. If I knew this was going to be the outcome, I would have claimed from my own insurance. But yes they assured me that I am fully covered. I will not stop until they pay for the past 4 weeks and the other weeks to come until they payoff my car. I will go to every news paper, radio station and social media and I will expose them for what they are doing.
I am driving a car that is financed under my sisters name and late last week there was a transmission problem with my car and since the car is under warranty I though okay that will be sorted, we called Innovation group and they assured us that we are covered for R 25 000 and since we were quoted R 13 000 we are covered, the dealer sent the relevant information to innovation and comes Monday, we receive a letter that only R 3000 is approved. We have been calling and we have been transferred from one consultant to another and the car is been with the dealer for two days. We are not accepting the R 3 000 and we demand the full cover so that we can have our car back. I will never, ever advise anyone to use innovation, they are rude and they keep trying to shut you up and that they know better. I am a customer and should be treated with some level of respect. I NEED THIS SORTED ASAP!!!!
This is on behalf of my husband as he took a contract with Telkom for me. The contract ended last year and still telkom is debiting his account after so many attempts to cancel the contract. Even though we cancelled, Telkom should automatically cancel after 24 months like other networks. After reading reviews from other people I see that its their style to juice money out of people which is illegal. Which will require us to take legal action. We will be sending all the evidence to our lawyer and let him handle this because it seems we going to have a problem as other people. we wanted to renew the contract or get a new contract but never again. really angry right now. ********** TELKOM SOUGHT THIS OUT ASAP.
I would like to know how come this company still exist and still taking peoples monies knowing very well its a scam? HOW LONG MUST I WAIT FOR THE AUDIT WHEN Riaana Van Der Linde WONT EVEN REPLY TO MY EMAILS? its been 5 months for goodness sake. I am all types of angry right now because pmd tried everything they could to reject my claim and I had to fight that because no.1 i didn't skip the red robot and they claim they are rejecting the claim because of that. I have contacted my lawyer now pmd will have to deal with him. I regret joining pmd. People I plead with you to rather go for a proper insurance because this is not insurance. CAN PMD PLEASE JUST CLOSE THIS AND WE MOVE ON.
On the 22nd of August I went to Edgars and bought make up for R510 and it declined twice. the third time it went through after using a different till. I got two sms's confirming the reversal and my balance was correct. I then went to Spar, Chicken licken n drew R300. I then got an Uber and went home... all the transactions were recorded n the balance was right. on the 24th I tried to buy airtime and R500 off my account without an sms or notification. My last balance and the balance before I bought airtime had a difference of R500 odd. I called twice and im told about pending transactions and still if take them off the balance, there is still R500 off shot... FNB you better sort this out ASAP. What kind of business are you running. #ANGRY
<p>I had an accident on the 1st of August, As much as I was in trauma I managed to phone my husband and I remebered to call my insurance company... I phoned the towing department and with 15 munites Easyway towing was there to assist. With that I received sms's updating me of the progress.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you PMD, Yesterday I submitted all my forms and received an sms that they have received everything. I hope and pray that my claim will be resolved in time so I can go back to my normal life after what happened and now being carless.</p> <p> </p> <p>30 days is a long time, Maybe PMD should look into that as well offer options of a courtesy car while your case is being investigated.</p> <p> </p> <p>As I am now stuck and I dont know how I will get to work, cause you dont plan for such things to happen.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you</p> <p>Ms Mabena</p> <p> </p>
