Hey I have been using rain service provider for about 15 months with no issues. The problem came when I canceled their service as I no longer needed it they still continue to debit my account, this is so frustrating.
Telkom has to be one of the worst cell phone companies i have ever had to deal with. Their tele-sales people are liars and once they have your banking details it's very difficult to get them to stop debiting from your account even after you have canceled your cell phone contract. I just want this nightmare to end with Telkom so that I can move on with my life.
In May 2019 some time I agreed to get into a Telkom mobile contract from one of Telkom mobile sales agency and when the device was delivered to me and as i was in process of registering the sim card and all i found out that not everything was disclosed to me and i within 3 days of receiving the device i returned the device with everything it came with. I called the sales house if they would be facilitating the process of cancelling the contract with Telkom mobile on my behalf and i was advised that as soon as the device has been collected from me and delivered back to them they would cancel the contract, which didn't happen. I started receiving invoices from Telkom mobile i then took it upon myself to cancel the contract myself on the Telkom mobile website and i received reference numbers for both the two sim cards. Despite me doing a follow-up calls on numerous occasions regarding how far Telkom mobile is from cancelling. Instead i have to keep reversing Telkom mobile debit orders because they change their reference number everytime and i keep receiving an accumulated invoice from Telkom mobile monthly. I thought i would give Telkom mobile a second chance but i have come to a conclusion that Telkom mobile doesn't improve their service. I need to cancel this contract ASAP, please assist me?
<p>I had cancelled my data contract with Telkom which I have had for over 3 and half years, all of a sudden I am receiving sms and emails congratulating me on taking up a new contract with Telkom which I am not aware of, I then called Telkom call center to find out what is happening to my account and the gentlemen says that on their system it is showing that on 28 November 2016 I have reinstated the data contract which I had cancelled and says that it looks like it was a call centre agent from Ignition Marketing who registered the contract, of which I have no recall of even on my phone as I am going through my call log I don’t see any call coming in from Ignition Marketing on the 28 November 2016. From now on I would like Ignition Marketing to account as to how, when and by whom did this deal go through because I have no record of it, I am also requesting that Ignition Marketing to delete my contact details from they system?</p>

I would like to request that Telkom cancel this contract ASAP and please STOP SHARING MY PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES, START FOLLOWING THE NEW LAW OF POPI. If I need anything contract from Telkom I will personally go to a branch and do it personally I will never do it on line. Please make sure that this does not even get registered onto my ITC record for the month of December 2016.</p>
<p>I have had a Telkom contract since 2012 and I have had peace of mind and I was truly enjoying my contract up until last month when I canceled the contract due to being misled by the sell direct call agent concerning my data Telkom contract. All this time Telkom has been debiting my account on the 25th on each month, I don’t know why or who changed it, but from last month Telkom only debited my account on the 05 August 2016 and I called their call center staff member to please change my debit order date back to the 25th of each month she said it’s done, but to my surprise this month again Telkom did not debit me on the 25 of August 2016 so I made an EFT payment to my Telkom account on the 31 August 2016, and yesterday 05 September 2016 a debit order from Telkom has just gone from my account, which I have just reversed. I am so sick and tired of having issues with Telkom and Telkom thinking that they can do as they please in my Bank account, I believe that this is breach of contract from their side, I am tired of calling the call center because my issue will clearly not be resolved, if I could I would cancel the contracts I have with Telkom just so that I can have peace of mind back in my life. Please fix this problem ASAP because in order for my next debit order to go on the 25 September 2016 and going forth to the 25th of each month.</p> <p> </p> <p>I also have another issue, on the 20 August 2016 Telkom debited R387.07 from my account, firstly I don’t know why they would just debit on my account so randomly and I don’t know why I was debited, I am sooo sick and tired of Telkom service and I am really thinking of taking legal action now.</p>
<p>My telkom mobile contract was up for renewal & i was contacted by Sell Direct ( stating they are an agent of Telkom) his name was Sameer who called me on the 29 Jul 2016 round about 09:08, I agreed to the contract and in a weeks time I received my package the a huge bill debit order went off from my account on the 06 August 2016. I enquired with Telkom and then realised Sell direct do not offer the same contracts as Telkom. I believe that and it was Telkom who gave sell direct my details. The devices were delivered to me on the 04 August 2016 but after the huge debit order that went off from my account I called Telkom to find out why am I paying so much and what is it that I am paying for? The Telkom agent explained things to me which were not expalined to me I initially was agreeing to the contract, I now want to to return the devices before the 7 day grace period is over but i can't cos i have no return address on the package., and I cannot get hold of Sell direct on their ********** 500. there is no answer. I would like to return thisrouter and sim card immediately! This is so infuriating as I have been deceived by Telkom as they got Sell direct to contact me and I am stuck with a device I do not want from a supplier I cannot get hold of.<br />Sell direct either contact me or provide me with an address for me to return the device! I will be going to a Telkom branch to cancel the contract.</p>
