I was trying to obtain quotes as I was interested in buying a car. Outsurance was the first insurance company I contacted. The consultant asked me a million questions, to give me the \\most accurate quote\which i was happy with. After about 30min he requested my banking details to have on record. I gave them but made sure I was only requesting a quote as I had not even signed for the car yet. He then said I need insurance before I can sign. I told him I would prefer to confirm the next day as I was still contemplating about the car (and it was only the first quote I had obtained). He said I could always cancel it should I not take delivery. The following day as it happened\""
I had an accident 3 months ago. A taxi went through a red robot and T-boned me and my car was written off. I even had a traffic officer as a witness so it was pretty straight forward. Until today my insurance has been unable to even track the name of the taxi owner. However I posted one picture of the accident yesterday and a gentleman was able to provide me the taxi drivers name, ID and address - in 1 hour. My insurance has had 3MONTHS!! now that I have provided the information they want to determine who was at fault. not to mention I have not received 1 phone call updating me on the progress of my case, perhaps cause there is none.
My sister and I went for lunch on Freedom day (27 April) we arrived at 13:30 placed our food and drink order immediately. I ordered a started and my sister a pizza. The food took over 2 hours (the table next to us which was about 6 people got their pizzas shortly after they had ordered) we weren't offered a second round of drinks, our empty bottles were not removed and when we asked for the manager she refused to see us. After asking for the 4th time she blamed it on the kitchen. Very terrible service and attitude. Definitely wont be going there again. I have also posted on their Facebook page and had no contact.
I recently opened an FNB account, all my documents were sufficient to open the account. Now that they have me as a customer and my salary in my account my documents are not sufficient. They first said my proof of address wasnt sufficient so I sent them another account with proof. They have now frozen my account and the story keeps changing, they now say my copy of my ID is unclear. i have sent another copy and my account is still frozen and I have had no contact from FICA. quick to take your money but terrible service once they have it.
I was in an accident 3months ago. I have all the necessary documentation of the person responsible for the accident which resulted in my car being written off. Not once has Dial Direct contacted me to inform me of progress of the case. They also charged me R13000 excess which they have no intention of claiming from the taxi driver responsible. When I asked about the whether they have contacted the taxi drivers insurance they asked me for his insurance policy number and insurer as they were too lazy to establish who it was. I am very unhappy in the service I pay for and definitely would not advise anyone else to use them!
