Oh man. Where to begin and how to limit this review. I can write a book on just the last few days of troublesome dealings. Firstly this company's Helpdesk is the worst. For some context I have to explain that I am an Technical Specialist myself working for an international company so I know IT. My problem started when I had multiple internet drops throughout the day. I identified and found the root cause of my problem and tried to explain this to the engineers but got so many different stories on what they thought I wanted. I have a wireless internet solution and this goes through multiple towers before breaking out to the internet at their HQ. I explained that 1 of their towers are going off and this causes a 20 second drop in my internet as traffic is routed through other towers in order to still provide clients internet. When tower comes online I get another 20 sec drop as traffic will now be routed through original shortest path. This happens several times a day From this explanation the Helpdesk asked me what WLAN I want setup. Told me my LAN cable is faulty. My computer settings is not correct even tho I told them I have a big firewall running my network. Every time I explain to them about the root cause but no one acknowledges or seem to understand. They test the tower I am directly connected too and end the chats saying everything is fine. I keep on telling them its the 3rd tower in the line and so we go back and forth on the same thing every day. I realise that their Helpdesk is there to only answer calls and agents does not necessarily have advanced knowledge but this is no excuse for their lack of answers or updates. Ending my chats or being so rude even tho I am just trying to help. After hours I have to wait at least 1 hour before reaching any agent. I have asked so many times to speak to a technical manager as the hope was to explain to someone who will understand the root cause explanation and that I am trying to help. 4 days still no manager or call info. They have a convenient whatsapp line to contact but dont expect the agents to acknowledge your messages or provide you clear updates there either. They also they close the chat as soon as they send you something even tho you asked so many questions. Most times chats are closed with no messages from agents even tho my questions was posted there. I asked for my email to be added to their system as each time I try and send them email updates or even lay a complaint via email I get reply I dont have permissions to send emails to this address. This has not been done after 3 days of asking. Cant even lay complaint or explain my frustration so now I turn to other means. Next stop will be the CPA Ombudsman. You cant block customers to make you aware of the bad service we are paying for. If you dont want to allow me to mail you I will get someone to make you aware.
I bought a secondhand car from Nissan. Sales person Marylyn was super helpful and assisting to get some of my abnormal requests fulfilled. She made it possible for me to get my dream car. I unfortunately cannot give the dealership a 5 out of 5 due to the accounts department. Initially I asked for the extras costs like admin fees, to not be added to the bond payments. I had to get that fixed as they tried to add it to my bond. I had some trouble with a faulty battery after I received the car. No fault to the dealership. Car standing and old battery ect. They advised me to buy 1 and will give me refund due to living far from them. I did but then the accounts department only paid 3 weeks later and did not pay the tax on the receipt. Pretty bad for an accounts department to miss it. Pointed it out and they let me know they have a process and had to wait another 2 weeks for that R250. I had to pay registration fees up front but due to living in another province I did the registration and number plates myself which was no problem except that payment for those to refund me took more than a month. Bottom line. Good sales people but check your figures from accounts before signing anything and expect to follow up on payments that needs refunding.
Just plain poor services. MTN should stand for Most Terrible Network. I have a 20mb business internet link with MTN now for 61 days. I was only thus far able to use that link for 38 days. The other days is was down or not working. Same old excuses. I have been down now for 5 days again and yet not one of the promises made has even come to light. I have no ETA and no promised engineer to site, not getting feedback at all. So now I am warning others to stay away. There is levels of escalation that I have followed but it seems even the management of MTN cannot get the engineers to sort out the services that I am expected to pay for in full even if I am not able to use it 40% of the time. Empty promises is the way with MTN.
This will be a 2in1 as I have since installation had the 1 problem and now just so bad service. 1. I have an 8/8mb line with them but always have to struggle to get the upload. Every 2 weeks it goes below 1mb upload speeds and there is always 2 days I have to wait after logging the ticket in order to get it fixed. I now have no internet for over 3 weeks. I have tried to phone so many times but no one picks up their phones. No feedback on any emails. I once got through where Chris said he will get it sorted out and if he is unable he will then come to my house that afternoon. Since then nothing and still no feedback. Very bad service. For a company that boasts with a lot of promises not much gets delivered. I am very unhappy about paying for a internet that I cannot use.
Please stay away from these Crooks. They WILL steal all your money in the most clever ways possible. We bought a new home and was told we need to get property insurance. Standard insure sent a quote with the bank offer of loan. Our broker got us a better price through Santam for a 3rd of the price and a fixed R1000 access which is much better access than the 10% of claim from Standard insure. The Santam policy was registered with the attorney and accepted by Standard Bank and we though that was it. Standard insure then just auto enabled their insurance without any consent or signature from us. No matter how many mails or information sent to them, they just keep on requesting more info. They are auto ducting the insurance together with our bond so we cannot even put a stop order on it otherwise the bond will not be paid. They do not want to cancel this.
I have canceled my account 24 Jan but then there was a debit order end of Jan. I just thought it was for Jan. But now there is another debit order that went off at 1 March for R200 more than I had the contract for. I cannot get hold of any representative as I am no longer a MTN client. There is no more option to press 0 for a representative. Each time I put my number in as requested i just get thank you for phoning MTN good bye. no matter what number I phone to get hold of MTN there is no answer. I cannot spend this many hours to try and get hold of MTN. If you do not want me to report you to the police for Stealing my money and also reporting you to the national fraud commissions please contact me and lets get this sorted out MTN.
In December 2013 I went into an Edgars branch in Phalaborwa to settle both my Edgars account and an Edgars Credit card I had. The lady behind the counter told me that I do not owe anything on my Edgars account and that my Edgars credit card was paid up in advance. She told me she closed both. 4 months later the attorney phoned me and told me i still owe R2500 on the credit card. I went back to the branch to ask for evidence as at the time i did not think to ask n paid up letter. At the branch no one knew the lady that helped me or anything about my accounts. I was shocked. I then had to straiten everything out with the attorney (even had to pay their law fees added to the account) and I was promised by them that Edgars management would clear my name. Recently I tried to buy a house and my loan applications was declined due to this Edgars account. I have never in my live missed any payment of any accounts. Edgars you soiled my name. Now I cannot even buy a house even after you lied to me and said you will clear my name. Anyone reading this please don't ever do business with this company you will be screwed over with lots of greedy people just finding new ways to get money out of you
