I've been trying to purchase some items from Builders Warehouse. Firstly, I'm a pensioner. THEY SAY THAT IM ENTITLED TO A 10% DISCOUNT If I buy on a Wednesday. It's Wednesday today. Dololo. Secondly, they say free delivery if you buy for over R500. When I get to checkout there is a delivery fee. Notwithstanding, I've been trying to shop online for more than 4 hours with no joy. This is extremely frustrating. Some of us have work to do. Our lives do not revolve around sitting in front of the computer or on the phone trying to place an order.
Well Builders Warehouse has outdone themselves yet again. They delivered one part of our order on Friday. The other part of our order Saturday afternoon without any notification. The truck just pitched up in front of our house randomly. What if we were not home? What would they have done then? Left the building material outside on the pavement? Today I received another message stating that our order will be delivered between 1 - 3 days. This is an order that was placed last week Saturday. Why do they not put everything on the truck onetime? I would think that it would serve them better to deliver all the items in one go. We on the other hand cannot continue with our project because we have to wait. This is a major inconvenience to say the least. Builders Warehouse has to really come to the party if they do not wish to loose customers.
Ooba has outdone themselves yet again. This time they have cancelled our home insurance outright effective 1 November 2024. Can they do that? They also parmed us off onto another insurance company. According to the POPIA ACT. Are they permitted to divulge other people's information to another company without our permission? Is that even allowed? We have all the correspondence todate.
We moved into our house over a month ago. We notified ooba about the problems that we had with the house. 1/. Shortly after we arrived here we there were heavy rains. The roof started leaking. The facia Boards are warped and the gutters are damaged due to the heavy rains and the strong winds 2/. The geyser/s are not working hence we have no hot water to shower and wash dishes. 3/. The taps in the kitchen are missing 4/. The kitchen cupboards are damaged. Water damage 5/. Part of the garden has collapsed 6/. Loss of income due to the long wait for the assessor to come out to assess the damage 7/. Trying to pass the buck. Telling me that they will only send someone out to sort out the roof and the ceilings due to the rain damage 8/. The access control for the main gate has been removed 9/.The bolts to the security gates are broken 10/. Security risk due to windows and LOCKSETS being broken. 11/. Loss of rental income due to hole in the fence at the back because of a security risk. 12/. Six internal doors are damaged 13/. Garage roof leaking 14/. Cracks in the wall 15/. Grossly dissatisfied by the poor service
We recently moved into a house in Alexandria, Eastern Cape. The water meter has been vandalized. The tap was removed. I have been to report it several times with no joy. They did send three guys who came to take a look. Said that they were waiting for the van/bakkie to come back from Port Alfred. That is the last we saw of them. I went to the municipality again on Friday because the situation has become unbearable. They were closed. There is no sign with their opening hours or anything to indicate what their opening or closing hours are. We are at a loss because now we sit without water for almost a month. We did manage to harvest rain water via drums which is now depleted. We have to buy drinking water on a daily basis which cost money. We needed to clean the house which we moved in to and now we sit in a filthy house with no water. This is apauling and disgusting to say the least. The is a gross human right violation and a gross infringement on our dignity and pride let alone our personal hygiene which I don't take kindly to.
Once again I have to write another review regarding we buy cars. After the last review we did get a response. Suddenly someone woke up from their slumber and attended to us. However the vehicle that my son bid on was faulty despite the company saying that the gearbox was ok. Notwithstanding the other minor dents and bruises. One doesn't mind when they say fair usage. I was scheduled to go and pick up the vehicle in Nelspruit only to be told that the gearbox was faulty. The gear didn't shift from the first gear into any other gear. According to the agent you had to engage the pedal to the metal to get it to move. The brakes were also non existent. At which point does Webuycars get off with saying that the gearbox is ok when it isn't. Does that not constitute to 'FALSE ADVERTISING'?
I'm very shocked by the unresponsiveness of Sasko. I've sent them an email twice. They asked how I would like to correspond with them. Obvious choice. WhatsApp. I still yet to receive a response from them. They sent me a second email asking the same questions. I responded yet again and that was it. Never heard from them again. I suppose they ' HAVE THEIR HANDS FULL WITH THE LADY WHO FOUND A RAT IN HER BREAD' TO THE POINT WHERE MY LITTLE INCIDENT IS TRIVIAL. I ordered 3 loaves of Sasko bread through Cherkers 60/60. The bread that arrived was grossly undersized. I took pics and sent them to Sasko.
My son purchased a vehicle on auction from WeBuyCars. I need to go and pick up the vehicle in Nelspruit. I have tried contacting WeBuyCars on several occasions with no joy. Since then there has been no transparency from their side. I've been shunted from Pillar to Post. They keep giving me a new number to contact. There is no one that I can speak to. I just get a BOT everytime or I think that, that is what it is. Sometimes they answer sometimes they don't.

I would like to know why the GARBAGE DOES NOT GET PICKED UP IN KATHERINE STREET. THAT IS SUCH AN EYE SORE, THE RATS ARE MULIPLYING. THIS IS SO UNHYGIENIC AND DISGUSTING, TO SAY THE LEAST. SANDTON IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ELITE SUBURB??? SERIOUSLY?

I have a belt which is broken, which belongs to a Jacket which was bought from Burberry. I went in to ask if she could send it in for repairs and she asked that I should bring a picture of the Jacket. The jacket is in Johannesburg. Do I now have to fly to Johannesburg, to take a picture of the Jacket. The jacket is not the item which needs repairing, so why then does she need a picture of the jacket. I will gladly go to Jo'burg take as many pictures of the Jacket that she wants if she will pay for my flight ticket, my Uber ride from the airport to Sandton and back and also pay for my time. I find this behavior so unprofessional and totally unnecessary. Their products are supposed to be so good that they are guaranteed not to brake and are valid for life, well at least they are so expensive that they should be.
