I've been using ***ron (previously Rausa-Kem) for about seven years now to fulfil a script from my physician - they are the only pharmacy in the country that makes this specialised medication. The staff at ***ron are always helpful and when you e-mail or call them to fill your script they send you your invoice that day and once they've received your proof of payment you will receive your medication via courier within about two business days (if you live in Cape Town you can collect it yourself, however the courier charge is minimal). The pharmacy always e-mails its clients about any holiday closing dates to make sure that you order enough medication to cover the period in which they are closed (this is only annually around Christmas). I'm happy to say that I've received good service from ***ron for seven consecutive years - thank you! #BlackFriday
Faithful to Nature is the perfect online store for someone who shops for vegan food and/or environmentally friendly products. I buy my CBD oil, Buddha Teas, and vegan protein powders and bars from their store. My products are always couriered to me within a few business days and I also receive samples I've selected from their pre-set categories at checkout. The only criticism I have is of the actual website, I think the site could be redesigned, specifically to accommodate larger images and text of the products. I'm a big online shopper, mostly internationally, and I always notice and appreciate when a website is not only beautifully designed but also functionally smart. I hope that this criticism is viewed as constructive: I love the products that the company have made available to the South African market and their company ethos: "I believe that you deserve to be able to purchase products where full product description is enclosed from absolutely honest ingredient lists; to country of origin and the cruelty free status of the item. The products that we choose to buy have a massive impact on the health of every creature on our planet. It’s a really big deal that we are empowered to make the best purchasing decisions that we can." #BlackFriday
The majority of the time I go to Checkers at The Point I don't appreciate the service I receive - there have been several instances where I say "hello" to the cashier and I receive no response (this is definitely not an issue of me not speaking loudly enough). The attitude towards the customer (mainly by the cashiers) is that you are a pest and they could not be bothered to even look at you. The only reason I now go to Checkers at The Point is to buy a specific brand of vegan chocolate - if I could get it at Spar or Dischem I would never go to that Checkers branch again. #BlackFriday
The staff at Sea Point Vet are all helpful and friendly and all the vets are excellent at what they do and clearly love the animals they treat. Dr Blessing was my kitty's main vet in the treatment of her chronic skin condition and he not only devised a treatment plan which almost completely fixed her skin problems but he also gave her such sweet love and attention at each appointment. I feel a lot of gratitude towards Dr Blessing for how he treated my beautiful Hathor!!!
Using the Customer Zone section online makes contacting Web Africa and managing my account easy. It was simple to change my internet package today - I didn't have to jump through hoops or print and scan forms in order to downgrade: I just downgraded my LTE package and it took me about two minutes to do this online. About 90% of the time when I've had to call the company to sort out an issue the service agents are seriously on the ball: they know what they're talking about and they respond quickly - it's as though the company actually took the time to train their staff well, especially in terms of responding appropriately to you when you call them and you're frustrated by technology messing you about. The agents understand that you want to fix the problem quickly because by the time you call them you're already gatvol. I moved to Web Africa from Telkom (AKA The Devil) a few years ago and overall I'm happy with the service I receive. Thanks guys! #BlackFriday
Kleinsky's in Sea Point make the best bagels I've ever had!!! As a fan of brunch I spent years searching for bagels in Joburg but for some strange reason Joburg restaurants seem to ignore the clear demand for the bagel (weird?!). Now that I live in Cape Town I often pop in to buy bagels (R8 for a plain bagel!?!!) and a takeaway coffee or I sit down for brunch which also involves a bagel. I've had some of their cakes and pastries before which are delicious. Their new location in Sea Point has been beautifully designed with modern finishes. There are plug points at the booths for your electronics and the service is very good. They're particularly busy on weekends because they're such a lovely restaurant to brunch at. #BlackFriday
McQueens is a boutique beauty salon on Regent Road in Sea Point. I've had pedis, full body massages and eyebrow threading at the salon and I'm always impressed with the service I receive. I love getting my pedicures done there as the foot massage is incredible (and isn't rushed!) - there's definitely more focus on providing an excellent personalised customer experience compared to other (chain) salons I've been to previously. The prices are competitive and are actually significantly lower than what I'd anticipated for a boutique salon in Sea Point. McQueens is my 'new' go-to salon for all my treatments and I highly recommend them! #BlackFriday
The Spar in Sea Point on Regent Road is the best Spar I've been to in Cape Town and Joburg - it is very well managed with polite, helpful staff and they have a wide range of vegan options as well as eco-friendly products.
I recently moved to Cape Town and I used Artland to put up two of my stretch canvas paintings and one of my glass framed prints. Linda contacted me to arrange the installation; the team actually arrived early and the work was done perfectly to my specification within 20 minutes. Anina from EA Properties has been my estate agent since 2014, she has placed three tenants for me in my Hyde Park property since then. When I was looking for my second tenant I gave two other estate agents from high profile agencies mandates, both of whom failed to find a tenant for me and their lack of communication made it obvious that I wasn't a priority client. Anina always keeps in touch and updates me, furthermore even once my tenant has been placed she goes above and beyond to assist with issues such as snag lists and tenant demands even though she is not the managing agent on the property.
