This is the worst experience that I had. So 1stly, when my contract was terminated in 2021 I app**** for UIF, which was approved, and also explained to me that I could only claim for the last 4 years of employment.. Which I understood. Later in 2024, I needed to apply again, because my contract ended, I went to apply and was told to come back in 2 weeks time, I went back in 2 weeks time.. They told me to resubmit, I resubmit, they told me to come back in 2 weeks time as there has been an overpayment, I go back, to sign, a month went by and I got no payment. I went to the department in Plein street, November to find out why I didn't receive any payment, I get told that I already received a payment and to go to the back to speak to someone in payments, I spoke to this old man and I was so polite to him, only for him to tell me that there has been an over payment.. I owe the labor department money because the time that I received uif, I was not supposed to receive it, and he was so rude told me that he can't help me and that I need to go elsewhere, where was I supposed to go? Anyways I emailed the labor department in January and was told that the reason for termination has changed from contract expired to resigned, and was advised that a correction needed to be done. I immediately emailed my previous company who confirmed that they did not change anything and provided me with my documents to resubmit my claim again. My claim was escalated, 2021's claim was reassessed and I have been advised that :Payment was captured but unfortunately the full amount has been allocated to the overpayment. So the payment has set off the overpayment. Which I understood, claim for 2024 was reassessed and I have been advised :Your 2024 claim has been assessed and approved. Payment was made , but take note that the balance of your overpayment will be deducted and balance will be paid out to you. What overpayment??? If the over payment was due to the termination reason for 2021 changing??? This has caused me so much stress, time and money. Every time I went to the labor department, I would speak to people, people who are struggling, and because of the system that is being used, people needs to continously come back to either resubmit, or follow up or sign for payment. It's unfair. All I wanted was to receive the amount that was due to me.. That's all. I will not leave this like this, I will take this further if I need to, but this is not on, it's unfair, really unfair
The claims process was so quick, thank you so much to the staff whom assisted me.. I submitted my cellphone insurance claim on the 19th and received my new device on the 26th. I will definitely recommend Monitor because wow. Thank you so much to the staff whom assisted me, much appreciated !!!
Thank you so much for the assistance received, this is from the day I submitted my cellphone insurance claim until collecting my new device. The STAFF at the HI STORE IN CANAL WALK was super friendly and so very helpful. Thank you so much.
The worst insurance company!! My cellphone insurance claim got resolved but that's only because I had to go back and forth, calling them and emailing them every single day! Firstly when I collected my new cellphone, I could only get a cellphone to the value of 5299 and the only phone available was a phone that was 4999,meaning there's still a R300 balance that I can't even use!! And the store advised me that Monitor would call me regarding the new phone that I've collected but nothing Secondly, even. Though I no longer have the honor x8, I am still being charged the cellphone premium for the honor x8 yet I have downgraded to the honor x7 Last but not least, no one is contacting me regarding the any of the above, even though I have emailed Jabu, she then advised that she is no longer under tfg insurance and advised me to contact Camille which I have been doing but from getting out of office responses to no response at all, clearly states that she does not want to assist as I've sent her multiple emails asking for assistance and now that I have mentioned that I wanted to cancel the insurance, I also received a swift response. If this really how they treat their customers?? All I needed to know was what will be happening with the remaining 300 and insuring the new phone
So I went to the tfg store on Friday 15.12.23, to make the cellphone claim, I was advised that the claim will be sent through on the way but because it was a public holiday, with the weekend approaching, the claim will only be submitted by the 18th, today is the 20th and I have not received any form of communication whether it's via sms or email stating that Monitor has received my information regarding the claim. I have sent an email on Monday past and again today but with no response. I have even called monitor but no response either. I need to know what is happening as I do need a phone, if I atleast knew what was happening regarding the claim then I would have been at ease, but I dnt even know if monitor has received my claim details . And I need to know how long this will take???
Worst experience ever. I went in to make a payment into my Tfg account because I have an arrangement in place. I get to the store, this guy assisted me, at first he wanted to ask for assistance but then "knew" how to proceed with the transaction (I was using 2 different bank cards) Righto, the first transaction went through, when trying to use the second card it declined twice but went through on the third attempt but no receipt popped up and according to them the payment didn't go through. The guy who assisted me took his bag and left, my phone was dead so I couldn't check if the payment went through, anyways they charged my phone and the transaction had gone through, this lady Funeka mjanyelaa, then assisted me but she wasn't helpful or friendly at all, I was late for work, very upset about this and then Funeka mjanyelaa, tok her own sweet time, called Tfg ND what ****ed me off was the fact that she spoke to the person over the phone about me, laughing, said that I was going on in the store.
I'm really ****ed! Since last year I think June, I have been calling the Tfg call centre to try and make an arrangement on my Tfg account because I have not been working, However I was able to pay my account, but ever since my account fell into arrears, which was in July or August, I think, they have been demanding the full installment, after I have explained my situation, I made arrangements to pay and was unable to keep to them(I earned less than half of what I was earning previously. And this was what I explained to every agent that called me. The last arrangement I made with Tfg was to pay 1420 for 3 months, and I was also told that after 3 months my arrears will be removed and that a new installment will be generated, and this amount was paid in April last, and in May, my account was then moved over to Pienaar and Sithole associates (after I have made payment arrangement and paid!!!)and they have been calling me day in and day out.. Calling and when I answer no one speaks I have also been listed as a slow payer. I have explained that I was not working since Feb this year, also that I'm pregnant, I gave birth not too long ago, which means I am unable to get a job... I was depending on uif.. Which is also not alot.I am well aware that my account is in arrears and I'm liable to pay. But the thing is, had someone assisted me properly in the beginning, I would have not been in the mess that I am now. So if this cannot be resolved or if no one is able to assist me with a reduced payment arrangement, then I'm going to have to take this further, by approaching the ombudsman.

As mentioned in my previous post that I have made payment arrangements to pay a reduced amount for 3 months. On Friday I received an email from Pienaar Sithole and associates stating that my tfg account was moved over to them. I responded immediately, sent them 3 mails, however I have not received any response. I'm expected to pay full arrears of either R15000 or pay monthly installments of R2200 or in that price range. I have made arrangements with Tfg in April and kept to my arrangement so I can't understand why my account was handed over and not just that. As I have mentioned, I'm not even working and I'm not able to get a job anytime soon as I am due to give birth any day now, we are facing a pandemic, yet Pienaar Sithole and associates are demanding high amounts which I don't even know where I'll scratch out. I'm willing to make suitable payment arrangements if they contact me. I will mention this again, before my account Fell INTO ARREARS, I CONTACTED THE CALL CENTRE AND EACH TIME I WAS ADVISED That MY ACCOUNT AT THE TIME WAS NOT IN Arrears TO PAY ANY AMOUNT (LAST YEAR APRIL - MAY) Tfg also still has not contacted me after the last post I made, Friday's hello Peter post! But I'll probably just get an automated response AGAIN! Let's see THIS IS A TFG ACCOUNT SO IF NO ONE ATTENDS TO THIS OR CONTACTS ME, THEN I'LL HAVE TO CONTACT THE OMBUDSMAN, SINCE I FEEL LIKE MY COMPLAINT OR QUERY IS NOT BEING RESOLVED.
