My claim was being handled by Dineo Mvelase. She was patient with me, as I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go with iStore or a different service provider. Throughout our calls, she was polite, bubbly and answered all the questions I had. She phoned me back exactly at the time she said she would and was responding to my emails promptly. If discovery would get more people like her, for the other departments, I’m sure clients would be happy. Discovery invest should take notes from her.
The waiter that always serves us is nice. The issue is who I was told was the owner. I was blocked by cars in the parking lot, Ivan told my friend he would assist to get me out of the parking. When I got to the parking, he started by telling me I can’t drive because I couldn’t get out of the parking with an SUV, while blocked by another SUV. From the get go, of me trying to reverse out of the parking, this man starts yelling at me for turning the wheels to a degree that is less or more than how he wanted it to be turned. I stayed calm while being yelled at. He then came over to the driver side, aggressively yelling, removed my hands and started aggressively turning the car wheels while yelling at me to reverse. Midway through this, he yells at me to turn the wheels, as soon as I place my hands on the wheels, he hits my hands. He then yelled at me again to turn the wheels, and for the 2nd time hits my hands, at this point I tell him that he doesn’t need to aggressive yell or hit my hands to give an instruction. He then mumbled and walked off, leaving me in an even worse position. We live in a country where GBV stats are extremely high, where we deal with ***ist people everyday, yet you have owners of places like Thirsty Scarecrow who act in a threatening manner. You are a man being aggressive towards a female and you found an issue with me standing up for myself and telling you not to hit me or yell at me. I’ve DMed their facebook page and no one has responded, instead they made a post about Summer vibes.
When I joined ADT, in 2021, I liked the fact that I received SMSs when the power was down and they would call back immediately if you press 2(request response) during the automated call. Now I don’t get any of these. I don’t know who implemented the new system, but their plan was not properly thought out and you can pass the message to them. Logging alarms, going off after power comes back, as loadshedding is placing your clients at risk. This is the 3rd time I am raising this, if I ask for response on the AI call, then send response instead of logging it as loadshedding. In S.A we have a lot of opportunists, power coming back on should not be logged as loadshedding unless owner has responded with 1 on the AI call. What will happen when there’s an actual break in during the time you logged as “loadshedding”? The people at the call centre also don’t listen or take client complaints serious. Response guys will forever been sworn/shouted at because of the poor service from the call centre agents. Get better call centre agents, instead of getting people who don’t want or like their job. Response guys are cool though, I feel sorry for them.
Yesterday my mom bought me hake at Calamari Fisheries, Cape Gate. She got home and told me that the packaging stained her car, but I couldn’t pay attention to what she was saying as I was working. 20mins later I was busy cleaning up the kitchen counter, I picked up the fish parcel and got the surprise(in the pics)😩. I tried everything to remove it, it is not coming off. I went to the store and was given the regional manager’s number. I phoned Marie(the manager) and explained the situation. First Marie had the audacity to tell me that it’s not their fault but the printing companies fault, then Marie said “oh this has happened before in one of our stores and we have marble tops. Go back to the store and ask them to give you an oven cleaner”. I kept stressing it to her that we’ve tried EVERYTHING and it’s not coming off. She told me “try the oven cleaner, if it doesn’t come off i’ll you call you the morning and we can talk”. It’s 5pm now, I sent her a message (last night) telling her it didn’t come off , I’ve been calling her and she did not pick up. Now she blocked me.
I joined home connect last year. I asked about their moving service, I was told that all I’d need to do is take the router and they would connect me. I called them 2 days ago to ask about the moving process, if there’s anything else i need to do. To my shock, I was told that I have to give them 1 calendar month notice for cancellation. Anyone who has done migration would know that you don’t need to cancel if you’re not moving from home-connect to another service provider. I was told that the payment I’ve made would go into November and it would be for the address i am moving from, where no one will be using the internet service. When I started asking relevant questions, like where on their website does it state that if a customer, is moving, they need to cancel the service; the phone was dropped on me. I’ve been sending messages, I’ve called multiple times, I’ve been told I will get a callback and have my question answered. None of their consultants can answer my question, their terms of service don’t state anything about cancellation before moving, they don’t want to credit me for the money I paid.
I needed roadside assistance, help got to me within 15mins. I had issues with my estate security not wanting to let the tow truck in, this took an hour to be resolved. While all of that was happening, Zunaid Joseph (from disc insure) would call every 15th minute to check if all was well, which was impressive. He was also patient and polite, which is something every client would appreciate, especially when you’re feeling “under pressure”.

Last week thursday i went to Mcdonald's in Plattekloof, bought 3 big mac medium meals for my friends. Given that i dont usually buy at mcdonalds, i didnt know how much 1 big mac med meal costs, so i was charged R193.50 for the 3 meals. The following day i decided to call mcdonald's Plattekloof and ask them how much each meal costs, and i was told that i should've been charged R144 and not R193.50. So the lady i was speaking to (Abulele) said if i dont have a receipt they cant help me, but i told her that i have proof of payment and the time the transaction went through. She told me that she will check on the system and call me back. I never recieved her call. So i decided to go to Mcdonalds myself. When i got there, i spoke to the manager, can't remember her name, she gave me such an attitude and made as if i was making up the whole story. The manager told me that she cant help me because they clean their system everyday( i do I.T, data is always there), so they dont have yesterday's transactions (which i still think is a lie). Then i asked her to give me the name of the lady that was at that till last night, she told me "She wont remember you, and there's nothing we can do about it unless you have a receipt". Keep in mind that Mcdonalds doesnt give you a reciept most of the time, so i was basically asked to go look for a receipt that i might have not received and the manager acknowledged that. So i left my details so that she can contact me when she has the person's name. 5mins after i left Mcdonalds i received a call from the manager saying "Oh yeah, the lady who was serving you is in today and she says she remembers you". I went back to Mcdonalds, they came up with a story that still sounds dodgy to me. Apparently the lady who was at the till last night saw that they overcharged me and didnt say anything. Her excuse was that she saw it after i left, but the dodgy part is that my friend went back inside Mcdonalds after 30mins, but the mcdonald's employee still didnt say anything. So ladies and Gentlemen, if you ever decide to go buy at the Mcdonalds in Plattekloof, dont forget to check your receipt and the amount you get charged, there's alot of dodginess taking place there and alot of rude employees (especially if you're a black customer)

I joined planetfitness in Cape Town City Centre last year october, the sales rep who assisted me - Kumbi(sp) told me that the deal he is giving me is a national and it will allow me to go to all the planetfitness gyms accept for the one in Sandton. When i joined the gym i never signed the actual contact, i know how planetfitness' contract looks like, i just filled in my details on the registry looking form. I've been able to access all the gyms, until last week when i couldnt go inside the Plattekloof gym and thats when i found out that i actually have a regional membership and not national. Now i asked them to transfer me, given that i stay in Welgelegen, i was told that i would have to pay 640pm for the plattekloof gym. Now, i have a friend who joined at the planetfitness in plattekloof and he pays 200 for a national membership. I asked the people at the call to downgrade me, they refused because apparently the contract i signed doesnt allow that. If i transfer, that will be another cost. These people have no issue upgrading me to national, but refuse to downgrade me. Now i've been calling the call centre and cape town for the past 2-3hours and no one is picking up, the phone rings for +5mins. I am so tired of planetfitness BS, you trick your members then you ignore their complaints.

R398 was debited from my account, I want to know why. I've been waiting for your \call centre agents\" to call me. Planetfitness doesn't like it when one does not pay their monthly fee, I also don't like it when you mess with my money! I was suppose to be charged R199. This is the second time I am complaining about PlanetFitness' billing, does one have to cancel their contract through court for one to be listened to because clearly you don't value your customers"
I have a maintenance case open in Kuils River court. The case was opened by my mother, in Bishop lavis, when i was in high school. Everything was going well until i had to transfer my case to Kuils River, then the money stopped coming in. When i went there to find out what was happening ,they told me that they don't know where my dad works and that \I"should try to find out where he works. I gave them all the information they needed. They kept on sending me letters for court dates"
