Totally ****! Booking reference number: 1145285965 I booked a VW Polo according to the EconomyBookings.com website. On arrival I was told it's unlikely that I would every get the VW Polo. I was given a choice between Haval H1 or Hyndai Grand i10 - worst ever and bottom of the range models. I settled for the Haval. I was charged a deposit and rental amount of ZAR 14,959.00 and I received a refund of ZAR 9,700.00 having refuelled and washed the car using valet service. This amounts to a rental cost of ZAR 5,259.00. I was expecting to pay a total booking fee of ZAR 3,198.47 (ZAR 429.43 to secure booking + ZAR 2,769.04 outstanding fee according to booking confirmation). The cost was the main reason I chose to book with EconomyBookings.com in the first place, as opposed to booking directly with the car rental company. This is the worst service ever received and I will never use EconomyBookings.com again!
1. BOOKED A CAR ONLINE AND PREPAID TO PICK UP AT THEIR EAST LONDON BRANCH; 2. BRANCH REFUSES TO ISSUE OUT CAR STATING THAT THEY CANNOT ACCEPT MY CARD; 3. THE SAME CAR, AN FNB CHEQUE CARD, HAS BEEN USED FOR CAR RENTALS WITH AVIS AND OTHER BEFORE; 4. WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY REASONS, AVIS REFUSES TO RELEASE CAR DESPITE PREPAID BOOKING; 5. I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICES, IRATE OF COURSE, AND DEMANDED A REFUND 6. MORE THAN 3 MONTHS LATER I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND, I HAVE DEALT WITH SOME OF THE MOST RUDE SERVICE STAFF EVER!!!
<p>RAN OUT OF MY MONTHLY ALL INCLUSIVE DATA LAST MONTH, DECIDED TO TRY THE NEW TELKOM "FREE ME BUNDLES"...</p> <p> </p> <p>ALL WAS GOOD UNTIL THE 1ST OF THE MONTH WHEN MY DATA CONTRACT WAS RECHARGED, NOW THE SYSTEM IS USING MY ALL INCLUSIVE DATA FOR FEB, WHICH EXPIRES ON 30 FEB.</p> <p> </p> <p>CANT HELP BUT FEEL HELPLESS AS I WATCH 6,7GB OF DATA WASTE AWAY BECAUSE I WANT TO MODERATE MY DATA USAGE THIS MONTH! IN THE PAST TELKOM WOULD USE THE TOP UP DATA FIRST BEFORE IT EXPIRES THEN START USING THE ALL INCLUSIVE DATA FOR THE MONTH.</p> <p> </p> <p>WHAT A SHAME, #FREEME HAS ENDED UP ENSLAVING ME. <p>I made two car rentals (TAX Invoice #: 946635 & 950650 ) during December 2016 and was charged a daily e-toll fee of R17.54 per day even though Thrifty had the e-tag disabled.</p> <p> </p> <p>I even had to pay for all tollgates on my own account. This is ridiculous! What justifies the charges if they had the tag off?</p> <p> </p> <p>Also, I returned my last rental a few days earlier and was promised a refund of R712.44 within 3-5 working days but I have been waiting since 4 January 2017 for this refund.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have since emailed numerous complaints to the customer care (Ticket no.: G ********** 8F0). I have gotten an explanation for some of my queries but no response on whether they have processed the refund on their side - and what justifies the e-toll charges.</p> <p> </p> <p>But this morning I received automated emails claiming that my queries have been resolved and that my ticket has been closed. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!</p> <p> </p> <p>PLEASE DON'T GO FROM BEING AN AFFORDABLE RENTAL COMPANY TO BECOMING THE BIGGEST HEADACHE!!!</p>
IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE I GOT AN INVOICE WITH MIGRATION PENALTY AND ADMIN FEES. THE CHARGED HAVE NOW BEEN SETTLED AGAINST MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION!!! MIND YOU THESE FEES ARE BEING CHARGED FOR A MISTAKE THAT TELKOM COMMITTED AND NOT MY SELF.<br> <br> AFTER TWO PROMISES THAT I WOULD GET A CALL I MISSED TWO CALLS FROM THE CALL CENTRE AND THERE HASN'T BEEN AN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME SINCE THEN! I APPLIED ONLINE FOR AN LTE CONTRACT (SMARTBROADBAND WIRELESS 50GB) AND I WHEN THE AGENT CALLED ME SHE SUBSCRIBED ME TO THE WRONG CONTRACT WHICH WAS THE HOMEOFFICE LTE 50GB!<br> <br> I STRUGGLED FOR MONTHS TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE CALLING CALL CENTRE, BEING TOLD TO GO INSTORE. WENT INSTORE TO ONLY BE TOLD I CANNOT BE ASSISTED AND THAT ONLY CALL CENTRE WOULD ASSIST. I TRIED TO CHANGE STORES HOPING TO GET BETTER SERVICE, I WAS TOLD I CAN ONLY BE ASSISTED AFTER THREE MONTHS DUE TO CONTRACT DURATION! AFTER THREE MONTHS OF NOT GETTING MY MAIN BENEFIT (NIGHT SURFER DATA) AND SPENDING MORE THAN THE SUBSCRIPTION COST ON DATA I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO BUY WITH NIGHT SURFER, I LAID A COMPLAINT ON HELLOPETER.<br> <br> AFTER THREE DAYS I GOT A RESPONSE. AND I WAS FINALLY ALLOCATED TO THE RIGHT CONTRACT I WANTED. NOW I JUST RECEIVED AN INVOICE FOR R1400 PENALTY FOR MIGRATING - WHICH WAS NOT MY FAULT! I HAVE TRIED BY ALL MEANS TO RESOLVE THIS AND NOW TO PAY THE PRICE FOR AN ERROR THAT HAPPENED ON TELKOM'S SIDE IS RIDICULOUS!<br> <br> TELKOM HAS JUST GONE FROM AN ADEQUATE SERVICE PROVIDER TO BEING THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE! I ORDERED THE TELKOM 50GB SMARTBROADBAND WIRELESS LTE ONLINE AND GOT CALLED BY THE CALL CENTRE. EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH UNTIL I RECEIVED MY FIRST BILL AND REALISED I WAS SUBSCRIBED TO THE WRONG CONTRACT (50GB HOMEOFFICE LTE). THIS MEANS I DON'T HAVE BENEFITS LIKE THE 50GB FREE NIGHTSURFER DATA.<br> <br> I HAVE TRIED FOR THREE MONTHS TO CHANGE THE CONTRACT TO THE CORRECT CONTRACT. I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN TO THE WONDERPARK AND HATFIELD TELKOM STORES EVERY WEEKEND. FIRST WEEKEND I DIDN'T HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. NEXT WEEKEND THE ATTENDANT SAID I NEED TO CALL THE CALL CENTRE. WEEK-IN WEEK-OUT I CALLED THE CALL CENTRE TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM BILLING TO SALES - BACK-AND-FOURTH. WENT BACK TO THE STORE, THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE MY DETAILS AND CALL ME BACK ONCE IT'S CORRECTED. NO CALL SINCE, WENT TO THE HATFIELD BRANCH AND SERVICE WAS EVEN WORSE! THE ATTENDANT, ZOLISWA (I THINK) WAS SO RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS. EVENTUALLY REFUSED TO HELP AND I ASKED TO CALL THE CALL CENTRE FROM INSIDE THE STORE.<br> <br> AFTER SPENDING 1.5 HOURS IN THE STORE TALKING TO CALL CENTRE, THE CALL CENTRE AGENT SAID SHE LOGGED A CALL. I EVEN ASKED THE CALL CENTRE AGENT TO TALK TO THE HATFIELD ASSISTANT AND SHE DROPPED THE PHONE!
