If you ever need help with tyres or batteries in the Stutterheim Eastern Cape area, the best place to call on is, Bose Tyres in Stutterheim, they have never failed me with great service and competitive prices. Big thumbs up to Justin Lawson owner of Bose Tyres in Stutterheim, they did not stock the exact battery for my son's car, while he had to get to East London, so Justin sold me the closest match and arranged with Willard Batteries in East London that exchange it for the version with the correct mounting holes. Thanks Justin.

Thanks guys.
I have been a client of King Price for two years and had one claim which they did handle well, their customer service is tops. Even when I recently switched to another short term insurance, due to a better deal, they were friendly and courtious when I cancelled.
I live in Stutterheim 80km from East London. I bought a Defy double door fridge freezer in 2019, and it has been working perfectly for the last 4 years and 10 months. It then started making a strange noise. We phoned Defy, who condirmed the fridge is still under warranty and a week later a technician (Piet) came to my house, he checked it out and said he is going to replace the fan motors, which he have to order. Yesterday (+-10 days later) he returned and fixed it. Now all is well again. That is what I call, good old fashioned customer service, no hassals or fuss. Piet was friendly and competent. This is why I only buy Defy, built and serviced in South Africa.
I had an excellent experiance, buying a car on 16 April 2024, from the Gys Pitzer Motors Stormvoël Dealership in Lindopark, Pretoria. I live in the Eastern Cape and found the car via Autotrader. I then sent a friend to inspect the car, and got the financing sorted out on Friday 12 Apr 2024, and decided to collect the car on Tuesday 16 April 2023, as part of a bussiness trip to Pretoria. I only arived at the dealership after 5pm after having some transport issues from Pretoria, but they waited for me. The real cool deal was they managed to register the car into my name in less than two working days. I went on my way, and only the next day discovered a nasty scratch on the bonnet, that was not there when it was inspected earlier. I took the car to panelbeaters who quoted me R5000 to respray the bonnet and fix a small scratch on the bumper, which I were aware of. I subsequently phoned the dealer principle at the dealership and explained my situation, now the situation is very much my word against theirs, and after signing all the documents, means they have no legal obligation to compensate me. They informed my the pannelbeater I am using is a bit pricy, since their panelbeater would charge R2500 for such a job, and therefore they will compensate me R2500. A few days later they paid me the R2500. I also took their views to my panelbeater who dropped his price to R3500. He did the work and now the car is perfect. What really impressed me about the Gys Pitzer team is their "no mess, no fuss, can do" way of doing things, well done! I strongly recommend these guys if you would like a similar experiance.
I recently had to stop my credit card after detecting an unfami**** transaction on it, after waiting more than a week for a new card to be delivered to my house in Stutterheim, I realised the new card has a different PIN, which I struggle to remember. There is no ABSA branch in Stutterheim, only ATMs. I attempted to change the PIN using the ATM, but it gave me an error message. Yesterday, I went to the shop and tried to pay at the checkout, just to find I typed the PIN in wrong three times, since I forgot the sequence of numbers. Now to unblock the card I must drive 80km to East London to go to a branch. Why can't I unblock my card from my app? ABSA if you want to retain your customers you must be accessible, meaning you must have branches even in the small towns. I have to regularly take people from our old age home to East London to do banking. There is only one bank with a branch in town being Capitec. If Capitec can sustain a branch in this town, then ABSA can do the same. It seems ABSA has become irrelevant to its customers, chasing profits.
What can I say of the charts...
I had a positive experience with Confident motors, though I ended up not buying the car I was interested in. They had a Renault I was interested in so I requested a Dekra Report and paid the R1600 it will cost into their bank account. Dekra then did not want to perform the check because one of the vehicles mirrors had some minor damage. Confident motors struggled to source the part, which delayed the transaction. They subsequently refunded me the R1600.
It is very sad that one need to turn to social media platform to get service delivery. I joined time bank by converting my Pick n Pay smart shopper card into a debit card. After that I added a credit card to the account to capitalize on the double points you get when using the credit card. Sadly this is where things started to go wrong, they are doing all kinds of weird and strange adjustments on your account allegedly to ensure you get 55 days interest free credit. Then recently on 30 November they deducted an amount of R4148.41 they described as a "Balance Refund" but it is a deduction. I tried phoning them on their 086 number that ends with 7250 after more than one attempt and the last time holding on for 30min (burning my cellphone airtime in the process), I decided to send an e-mail to "service@tymebank.co.za" and immediately got an auto reply with a reference number telling me they will respond within one business day, I am still waiting it is two days later. I then phoned the customer service number that ends with 9119 and followed the prompts (burning more airtime) to be put through to the credit card side, just to be cut off about 5 minutes holding on to an annoying beeping sound. I then went to the debit card side, and got through to an operator, who told me he can't help me, I indicated I understand, but I need to speak to somebody that can escalate my query, he suggested he will put me trough to his manager, I found myself holding on for more than 10min and then ended the call. The reality is, their is more issues with Tyme bank credit cards, it is not even a Tyme bank product but an RCS product, to transfer money from my debit card to the credit card takes 2 days on average, because it is an interbank transaction. On the debit card side they send you an SMS for every transaction you do and charge you 30c a pop, I can not find the option to switch this service off. I have lost faith in this product, as soon as I settle my account I will be closing this account. Maybe you need to change your name to "Eat my air TymeBank". Companies like Miway have a callback service.
Adziambee Dzibane was friendly, profesional and courteous. MiWay is a great insurance company.
