Joffe Plumbing carried out the certificate of compliance work in my new house in Greenpoint in Cape Town in July 2024 (the previous sellers used them) They plumbed in a new geyser overlow at a back flow (meaning the tray will overflow into my ceiling before it overlows into the overlfow pipe, as water wont flow up the gradient, but DOWN) They also damaged the front face of the listed causing damp water to seep into the large gap they created, it is also a Heritage building by installing an overflow pipe right over my front door. I have repeatedly via attorney's politely, with photos, professional plumbing and heritage reports in writing, asked them to remedy their work, for 6 weeks, to no avail. I would never recommend you use this company for any plumbing or compliance work, unless you want for fork out thousands via another company to fix their work, they do not stand by their work and take short cuts and have refused to come forward with a LEGAL and compliant solution in 6 weeks.
Sia Cape Town markets themselves as a Cape Town Company. They even have and about us page about their Cape Town team (which in hindsight looks like stock imagery) . On email (fro contact@siacapetown.co.za) they confirm they are CT based. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes, and on the day of order, I emailed them to confirm the sizing (giving them my order number confirming I need size 39 ) . I then got notice from a Chinese operation that my shoes are being posted size 37 , and I immediately cancelled my order via their customer service team. They rep**** that if they were not correct I could return them for a full refund . I then received THE WRONG SIZE , the quality was shocking, and it smelled like fish. When asking for the return information, they rep**** 10 days later, saying I could only get a refund if I got it back in 14 days, I followed up 11 times, eventually they rep**** with an address in China, and refused to provide a CT address for my items to be refunded. The courier to China from Postnet was quoted R4000 (twice the amount of my order) to courier or R800 to post back, which is more than my order costs, which is exactly what they banking on, us not incurring more losses AND risk of no refund . . When emailing them again, for a CAPE TOWN address, as they confirmed they are a CT operation they rep**** as follows: Dear Amanda As much as we'd love to help you, we don't have an alternative address and we don't provide a return label. At this time, we can only provide you with our return address and it will be your choice on which courier would you want to use to send the package back. We appreciate your understanding. Sincerely, Customer Service - Raymart This means, this company is running a **** business, they are dishonest on their website and they do not comply witj the consumer protection act of South Africa. They also know, that getting a refund is not possible, due to them not replying to any messages you send them, and also that it cost R4000 to send back to China. DO NOT BUY from this company, they are literally robbing South AFricans of their money and do not provide reasonable solutions as per our Consumer Protection Act. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, total **** artists.
This is not a south african operation, the items come from China, the sizing is totally wrong, and no matter how many times you write to their contact eamil address via a form on site, they do not assist. You are better off buying from the cheapest flea market than from SIA. Be warned, do not go near them! All the shoes (3 pairs) smelled like rotting fish, most likely the glue , they are flimsy and feel like they will fall apart after 2 days. Horrible.
I am in the in the interiors business and have never had such poor service delivery from my own sector. I ordered two concrete basins from Matt, and even though I did not mind it being unique and "rustic", it arrived chipped and marked - and most importantly once plumbed in, water pooled in the base because it does not drain to the hole due to a faulty mould. I contacted Matt multiple times - he was rude and unhelpful and wanted me to pay for getting it returned and replaced. I asked him multiple times over the course of 6 weeks to replace it - and he refused to assist further, without me having to pay to take it out by plumbers, send it back at my own cost (despite having paid for delivery) . His items were clearly faulty, i had sent him a plumbers report and photos, and still he did not tend to it. He then threatened to write a review on my own business, if I exposed him, despite never having provided a service to him. The second basin , which was my brother's , we asked for a refund, as it was never plumbed in, he never responded, multiple times. I would never recommend Seedleme to anyone. Very poor customer service and their products do not match their images, and also the basins do not drain to the hole. So, 6 months later, I now sit with a sink that pools water in a guest house , and no solution as the kitchen island counters was cut especially for this bespoke sink.
I have only ever ordered items from Take A LOT three times and I will never order again, because EACH time, they dont attempt delivery and mark your items as a credit, so you never get your urgent orders. This week both times I had "attempted delivery" I was IN MY HOUSE , no door bell rung, no phone call made, and when you contact their help centre they give you a cut and paste reply "multiple attempts to deliver was made". The same thing happened on my last order. Hopelessly in efficient process and non responsive help centre.
1 week ago, I called Claremont Appliance Centre- two matters received appalling service <br> <br> 1. Washing Machine broken:<br> They said if not repairable on site, they would need to take the machine away and offered me a loan machine. They came out the next day (24 hours later) and 4 hours later than agreed, and forgot the temp machine. They advised the washing machine was beyond repair - and advice was to replace- and said they would collect old machine next day.-, but never came. I've since bought one elsewhere , and paid someone to remove my machine. <br> <br> 2. Leaking Fridge/Freezer <br> They came 6 hours later than agreed, turned up at dinner time at 6pm . They then advised they could do nothing until I empty the fridge freezer and leave it off overnight. I did so , they were due back at 12 the next day. They did not come Thurs, or Fri , or as agreed Saturday. My food (R3000) worth spoiled. I got annoyed with Zaheer Omarjee, the person responsible for communicating efficiently as he took no responsibility for communicating any changes to their schedules- blamed everyone else , he slammed the phone down on me and told me to find someone else. After a week of waiting<br> <br> Shocking service!
