This company's billing and contract cancellation policy is in breach of the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. If you dont cancel 28 days or more before your annual license payment is due, you are liable to pay for the year in advance even when you dont use the software. On top of this it took a Google search to figure out how to cancel. Signing up couldn't be easier and cancelling very confusing. I wish I had checked Teamviewer reviews on Hellopeter before I registered with them. R5800 thrown away! Avoid at all costs, Anydesk.com is a much better solution.
We were sold a 12 visits Bait station by Rentokil to get rid of rats in our Parkhurst Store in August 2017. The salesman told our area manager that the agreement was for 12 months. She cleared the period with me and then we started using their service. At no time did the salesman say that the contract is automatically renewed after 12 months if not cancelled in writing, but he sent an email with an attached terms and conditions, which we obviously did not pick up. We are now querying why they are still coming and they have said we are in a new 12 month period and it cannot be cancelled until 3 months before the expiry. This is predatory, underhanded and in opposition to the spirit of the New Consumer Protection Act. We don't want or need their service but they are trying to tell us that we are tied in. I am busy logging a complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman which will hopefully make Rentokil release all customers that are in automatically renewed contracts. This is such a predatory business practice from a well know brand name in this country. Absolutely shameful, do not sign an agreement with RENTO****!!
I took my iPhone 6 plus to WeFix Canal Walk to replace a cracked screen. This phone has been great and despite having a cracked screen it still worked perfectly. After the screen was replaced I took the phone home and noticed that the touch screen was working intermittently and gradually getting worse. I took the phone back to WeFix today (3 days later) and waited 2 hours to be told that the Touch IC on the phone is damaged and there is nothing that can be done to fix it. When I explained that the phone was working perfectly before I took it in for the screen replacement, I was told that sometimes these problems only reflect when the battery is unplugged. This doesn't make sense to me and sounds like an excuse for breaking a phone! Whichever way you look at it, I had a working phone on Sunday, 22 October 2017, when I took my phone to WeFix and now the phone is broken and I don't have insurance for it. I WISH I had not taken my phone there.. I will definitely not use WeFix again and I will warn anyone willing to listen not to use the company.
<p>We tried to deliver a parcel to our Dainfern Branch from our Pretoria branch but parcel was delivered to an unknown person in Johannesburg, with no contact details. After logging a call with Fastway regarding our missing goods (R3775 value) I received a response that read: </p> <p>"Fastway Couriers - Label Number LA ********** 210</p> <p>Good morning,</p> <p>We have verified that your parcel was received and signed for in accordance with Fastway policy and conditions of carriage. "</p> <p><br />Great service, they will be losing 6 stores worth of business once our stickers are done.</p> <p>The cheaper price comes at a cost, no proper business infrastructure!!</p>
