I had the distasteful joy of dealing with ARK car rental in Ferndale Randburg. Apron arriving at ARK car rental myself and my colleague were questioned at the gate with their so called security guard with no shirt, just a sleeve less jacket, who you hear for !. After signing the documents on a tablet, which I had no copy’s of the contract, so who would even know what all you sighed. The first Renault sandero I got, its radio was not working because of the factory code or something. After getting my second Renault sandero, I asked the gentleman about the None E-Tag, he answered that E-tolls are not charged anymore. After driving the car for some time, my vehicle was ready at the panel beaters for collection. I filled the vehicle with R500,00, which now had the fuel gauge needle show Full on F mark, drove like 8 km to the panel beaters. The driver from Ark collected the vehicle from the panel beater and later that same day, after driving 9.11 km back to Ark, somehow proceeds to fill the car with another R492.84, this was very strange to me, not making one bit of sense, a total of R992,84 and the car was Not empty, when I fill it with R500.00, so I questioned this. Marc Needhan has still not bothered to phone me back after me waiting for most of the day to return my call, eventually I phoned Marc, only for him respond to me in a arrogant way, that I’m in traffic, I’ll phone you back, nothing yet from Marc till my today. It does not seem to all add up with the fuel, very fishy, furthermore I was charged for E-tolls R96.41 as well as a admin fee of R19.28 and a contract fee of R52.17, a total of R685.88 which was conveniently taken off my R2000.00 deposit. Best part of all, my car was not actually completed, so my insurance company had to arrange another rental car. This Rental company gave my full deposit back in full, No E-toll fees, not admin fee, no petrol fees, imagine that, my full deposit back. I know I will not be taking a car from Ark rentals again, even if my insurance has a contract with them, I will rather use a reputable car rental company.
I paid from ecoslim line water tanks on the 12/10/2022, after waiting so long for my order to come, I get a phone call from the Fourways branch nearly a month later, to inform me that there is only grey tanks available. I thought I don’t want to wait any longer than I’ve already waited, let me take these. On collecting the tanks looked second hand, no plastic around them like the other tanks, I even asked for a less damage one than the ones I was given, because I was informed there was no other tanks available. After filling in the email sent to me from Leroy Merlin, (How was your in store experience) telling them how terrible my experience was !. I get a copy and past response “visit us again to see the improvement made based on your Feedback”. Please don’t even bother sending worthless customer surveys when you do nothing about Terrible experience in your stores.
My Suunto 9 started playing up, not giving me correct altimeter readings, Ultimo booked in the watch for repairs, but the watch was not coming right. Ultimo replaced my watch under warranty, thank you for keeping me and my watch moving, well done Ultimo, keep up the customer support.
I have always had Professionalism and willingness to help in any way from Christine at CMH east rand. I know if I have any problems or concerns, Christine will be able to sort any problems out with a smile and timeless efficiency. I definitely believe if more people had such enthusiasm and passion for their jobs, life would be so much of a pleasure to deal with willing people like Christine. Keep up the Great work, high five to you !.
After my wife and I agreed to go our separate ways, I needed to apply to get the bond of our house put on my name alone, as it was a joint bond. When I first approached Standard Bank to inquire about what I would qualify for, I was pre-approved for approximately R1.5 million. However, since the time came to to apply, I have been pushed from pillar to post, with no finality. Since January I have not received approval or been declined, despite numerous visits to the bank and phone calls to inquire as to what is happening. The application was made through a Bond originator, but despite this I have had to keep going back. She has also only experienced bad service from Standard Bank Homeloans. To explain in more detail, I went to Cresta branch and dealt with a a lady named Gugulethu Jiyane, who had managed to lose the necessary papers. I then called Cresta branch to speak to the branch manager, and left messages for him to call me back. This never happened. I called Prestige banking, and they assured me the branch manager would get back to me, but this never happened. I then went back to Cresta and spoke to the manager who blamed his assistant for not coming back to me. They then told me I had to go and sort out my finances first and squash some debt, which I had been told by SA Homeloans already. So why did they not say this to begin with??? I believe this was all in January. Since then, I have reduced my debt substantially. I have returned to Standard Bank and communicated with them on numerous occasions, but still just don't get any finality. I have an email stating the application has been captured but not yet granted on 10 March 2016, but till today nothing further, again despite numerous visits to the bank. As you can imagine, this has been a very trying time for me with the divorce, and I desperately would like to keep the house at least. I have done everything asked of me, but still have no confirmation. I would like to keep the bond with Standard Bank as I have been a client of theirs forever, and as this will be more affordable than getting an entirely new bond elsewhere. However, if things don't improve drastically very quickly, I will have no choice but to move my bond application along with my entire account elsewhere. Being a Prestige member, I really thought I would get better service than this.
